I work for a man with a Patreon account where he uploads adult content. He really likes my style and the ideas I use for my illustrations and personal projects, so he asked me to give him new ideas based on old commissions I've done for him. I've been doing this for several months, maybe even a year, but, to be honest, it's always felt awkward. I'm not a fan of most of the content he's asked me to create, and a lot of it is gay stuff, which I'm not into because I'm straight. Drawing something I find disgusting is one thing, but trying to be creative with something that disgusts me is another thing entirely. However, he's kind, and he's the only person who pays me well, so I keep putting up with it.

You seem to know the forms and basics but you can't put all the pieces together in to something cohesive. I would recommend doing some master studies and see what accomplished artists you are trying to emulate do, copy them and try to change what it works. Either way, I can propose two changes here, one is more mature looking by making the face more elongated and removing a lot of the greemlish look. While the other one embraces it and by elongates the face a bit more but making the cheeks more puffy, focusing on the childish contour it makes the how proportions work a lot better. Just study more jaw stracture and placement and it should work fine. I also don't like a lot of how the left boob looks a bit smaller than the right and the overall piece looks muddy and unclear, but I will chuck that at just being unfinished.

The cliffs read as a foreground element even though they can't be. I'd suggest trying to render the background a bit more and lose the visible linework. It looks a bit odd now that the characters are more rendered than the background. You could also try moving the background elements around a bit. Currently there are a few of these visual tangents which can be distracting. Otherwise this is really solid work, anon!

So Ive been working on a some characters for a supposed 'mini' side story, which lets be honest itll probably end up being at least 50 pages long because tism. Anyhow, main characters work as a sort of power duo the likes of Tango & Cash only its a cyberpunk-ish setting where they are 'private assets seizure contractors'(PASCs) getting mixed up in a feud between cybermafia syndicates, private techs&arms development megaconglomerates and the police, which are also corrupt.The main protag is based off of Mrs.Grecht(from the day the earth blew up) as seen in the pic, aka Heatseeker in the mini and her partner aka Auger based on a megamilf from Austria Ive had the hots for since forever(as seen in following pics). The darken colour + lighten colour layers are doing a lot of heavy lifting though. They're a great cheat code for when you need modify light/dark areas but don't want to do the work manually. If you've never messed around with layer modes before the fundamental thing you need to understand is that layer modes function by sampling from the layer placed below it, and altering it based on the mode that's been selected. It's also important to remember that there's no "set" mode for everything. Multiply isn't the "lineart layer mode", it's just the one I favour for my lineart.I've drafted up a little tut using my Lillith lines for speed, and I hope this explains some of this stuff better since I reckon we're all visual learners here.Multiply works by sampling the colours/shadows below it and. This is great if you're doing detailed rendering as it means the lines effectively grow "lighter and darker" depending on what's underneath. Multiply is very commonly used by artists to paint in shadow layers as is illustrated in my example. I also like to use it to paint in blush tones on the skin, but some people favour overlay or shade/shine.Overlay combines multiply and screen blend modes. Where the base layer is light, the top layer becomes lighter; where the base layer is dark, the top becomes darker. This is nice for creating soft gradients and I applied it to the hair here. I also like to use it for painting in skin highlights/light tones.Pin Light (new fave) is an extreme blending mode that performs a darken and lighten blending mode simultaneously, and it completely removes all mid-tones, thus overlaying contrast whilst reducing contrast.Another tip is to always keep your work grouped into folders so you can move/scale your work easier as well as clip different layers to different folders. The pink lines adjacent to my layers indicate that they've been "clipped". When a layer is clipped it means that it's been attached to the layer below it and you cannot paint outside of it. Note I moved my lineart layer outside the main folder and ontop of the Pin light layers so that the lines weren't affected by these mods.
