Along shit like Cucumber Quest and other shit like that, is that you can do online first, and then get a publishing deal after. Granted the downside is that you gotta work for free making the comic on you own until you find someone willing to send it into bookshelves, but getting an online project published for real can happen, so in my view its better to just start working on it now and grow that audience and become a name for yourself in your own right. Its harder then getting that check outright, but the way things are execs dont wanna take risks

this is the start of a scene taking place underwater, in this realm between the waves, where the governments lazily thrown a bunch of bodies, and useless magical artifacts into.

Ill probably add more details to this page, darkness underneath, and wave currents, but tell me what else I should add to make it look better + more obvious its underwater.

If you want actual measurements of shit like this just look up Mixam printing website. Don't buy anything but just pick like comic book or manga and it gives you the dimensions. But you don't need to draw in that size exactly, but you gotta keep the dimensions in the same. Let's say your comic is 5×5, you can draw on paper that's 6x6 or 3x3 cause whether you scale it up or down the dimensions are the same

This guy knows how to introduce a premise and keep the reader invested for a period of time, a skill which seems to elude a lot of other artists including ones who draw much better than him. Also the setup and tone remind me of drama queen.

Some anons here make entire chapter's worth of like 40-50 pages at a time. I'm very interested in new topics and I love the outside world, it just doesn't translate well to drawing. I don't hate drawing and I actually like it, but I have no art friends so outside of when it's needed for work and/or projects I barely do it anymore. Outside world takes a lot of energy both when working with nature and with people. I get motivated to draw nature scenes once in a blue moon but without any art friends it's hard to get my mind into an art mood. Yeah, the images really don't show it well, It's easier to tell when you have the real materials and are using them since they have varying flexibility and widths. On paper where space is limited it can drastically change the way you approach drawing and detailing.

Lets say that I'm in a simulation and I know that the simulation is going to basically start going to shit sometimes between now and next November- do you think it is worth trying to make a manga still?

from now on I'm not sketching pages anymore. I already drew a comic I like but now I have to ink it so its presentable to other people. Its like doing it all twice again, I'm not motivated or inspired to redraw shit I already dreamed about and had fun sketching for weeks. Never again, I'm only drawing things ONCE from now on.

What are your thoughts on slow burn doujins? I tend to make doujins that take 20 pages for the sex to begin (ignoring any teasing scenes before hand.)

I like the implication that the character is horny or is doing something degenerate without showing. Also using something similar to extreme close up shots or anything no so explicit is also welcome. I also like pantsu so some forced perspective to show the them would be nice, also a good chance to show curvy bodies.
Also I'm disappointed on how little kissing scenes there are in doujins, after sex kissing should be mandatory.
I'm trying to remember that doujin with the chick with a split tongue, I'd recommend it if I could remember the title

I'm making a yugioh gx doujin where the male goes to a spot to get teased by one of the teachers, not knowing its her and then finds out after. He takes multiple trips to this spot and then they return for one more real encounter after her disguise is blown. It's fan art of a shy character so It was hard for me to imagine it happening faster. I'm also so autistically attached to making it feel authentic that it includes a duel (that is cut away from)

My point is that I'm kind of doing what you suggested, It's just shown and not implied.

some of you guys mentioned getting kicked off of mangaplus and other sites for "gore", how stringy are they?

One of my leads loses 2 of his fingers, and Im about to draw a wide panel with a close up of his mangled hand. but Im sorta thinking it might not be worth it, if I have to censor it on so many platforms.

I mean Im probably gonna draw it anyways, cause I dont wanna let some dumb censorship stuff screw with the vision, especially since theres a fairly prominent woman, whos a floating corpse with a chewed off face, and id rather not have to constantly censor her face

I want to know more about this as well, since my story has parts that involve children getting killed by bad guys. Does gore restriction only apply visually or to indirect depiction too? Can I get away with it if I imply it happens offscreen? How much blood is too much to be gore? Is it okay for a limb to come off as long as there's no blood? I want to be clear on this.

I had my stuff flagged/hidden off mangaplus but I don't think it was for a real reason. I suspect it was just bots spamming reports and then bots automatically hiding them because I didn't change anything in my comics and they're still up today.

Well the one thing i learned is that even people who don't intend to make pornographic works can at times make something pornographic unintentionally, like a subconscious thing.
But i will give you the benefit of the doubt. What's your manga Anon? I'll give it a look and see how SFW or NSFW it is.
