Figure drawing is a fun and good way to get better at drawing humans. Some free resources:https://quickposes.com/en/gestures/timedhttps://www.quickposes.com/enhttp://reference.sketchdaily.net/enhttps://quickposes.com/en/gestures/randomhttps://www.characterdesigns.com/non-nude-photo-indexhttps://www.lovelifedrawing.com/tutorials/https://app.posemy.art/https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/hands-feet-practicehttps://www.rkgk.org/Might as well check the archives and active /ic/ threads for references:>>/ic/thread/7019067#p7019080>>/ic/thread/2015637>>/ic/thread/6864584>>/ic/thread/2023233https://4chanarchives.com/board/ic/thread/2015637Previous thread >>7784565
Testing out new materials. Conte sanguine is nice.P.S. what is this retarded captcha?
>>7827534that's not a figure drawing
Started another graphite study.I figured out, in French Academia people used conte pencil, charoal and the stamp. Hatching a a3 paper with a fine point feels like autism, desu.
>>7827535You, again?
>>7827542bonjour
>>7827544shalom
The new captcha fucking sucks
>>7827523should the thread be "figurative" illustration general
Trying to get back into figure drawing. I’m trying things from different masters, critique is more than welcome
>>7827805>critique is more than welcomeThat's not what a nose looks like.
>>7827805I think you're doing well. Just keep drawing and studying. There are a few areas you can improve but it's mostly just more anatomy and polish.
Today’s practice. I’m not sure about the arm length or head size, so let me know>>7827808I mean body-related critiques. I wasn’t practicing faces, but I gave it a try here.>>7827928Thank you, yeah, the grind never ends. I just finished Hide’s figure course and was planning on copying Morpho’s simplified forms. I’ve been trying to escape whatever hell I’m in right now for a couple of years.
I'm starting to feel like my brain just can't process 3D shapes at all even looking at references. Just keep beating my head against a wall.
>>7827974Sometimes it's just impossible without the experience this is why figure , gesture drawing and copying your favorite artists is so important, you just have to grind the shapes until you can rotate them on your own. Never give up.
>>7827541Try to capture the figure as a whole, seems like you draw it "part by part", also work on those lips and hair, they seem too stiff and out of touch; thanks for the ref tried it too ^^
time-lapse
>>7827957try to lengthen her calves and legs by 1/4; it may look more proportional.
>generate random pictures, random angles random rotations, zooms???Basically a practice drawing tool? But just splatter you with pictures, no timer, you can just...clickthru. or whatever do you need to add up to six digit traffic?
>>7827986>seems like you draw it "part by part"im not sure what you mean
>>7827986
>>7828380In reality its not that forword tilted, camera distorts reality.
>>7828380....my intent isn't to draw it 1by1.I rather try to capture the form and understand the what i'm looking at.....i drew that probably in 8 min. if we count the shading maybe 10 min..
>>7828384sure, I'm just going off of the reference in OP's post>>7828386>I rather try to capture the form and understand the what i'm looking at.....I'm not quite sure what you mean, as there are simple yet meaningful differences in the cast and your drawing which show a lack of understanding of the form and the placement of features. I'm just pointing them out.
>>7828390i understadn your concern, ofc. i lack in form but i rather draw 10 drawings in 10 hours (which may lack on some aspects) than 1 drawing in 10 hours (in which i took my time to measure everything just to "copy" it 1:1)..... i did that in the past but...na not my cup of tea atm., maybe for intense study-subjects in the future... but for now i rather enjoy just drawing. ^^
>>7828386>I rather try to capture the form and understand the what i'm looking atsounds like cope, to be honestif you would say, it a rough, quick sketch, okeybut i dont see any deeper understanding of the subject, proportions are off, form is off, face features are off.i spend already 2 to 4 hours on the drawing, comparing and measuring and i think i gained a deeper understanding of the subject, than you did.>but for now i rather enjoy just drawingthat sounds more like truth.
>>7828393that's fair. unless you (the general 'you', not specific 'you') have to draw/paint something for someone else, you're free to do whatever. in part I just like analyzing people's work for my own eye, but also in the (perhaps rare) case that someone else sees it and gets something out of it.
>>7828428:/ well, it's not like i can't do that what your talkin' about; =.="if you gained a depper understanding of the subject than the your next subject with the evidence.
>>7828454>if you gained a depper understanding of the subject than the your next subject with the evidenceWhat?>:/ well, it's not like i can't do that what your talkin' about; =.="But you wasnt able to catch the proportions in the short amount of time, innit?
>>7828474"i spend already 2 to 4 hours on the drawing, comparing and measuring and i think i gained a deeper understanding of the subject, than you did."If that's the case show the evidence of that understanding you've gained with a drawing of this image. Shouldn't be too hard.
>>7827523Can you give us tips to make them look more fluid? We feel they look very stiff
>>7828484Holy sexo
:)
>>7828612I have adverse feelings about this image
The calves from this angle are giving me grief.
