The argument is that large, overpowered suvs are retarded as well.
>>
Is that the 5.0 v10 tdi they used to haul a jet liner? Pretty sick considering its a VW
>>
>>199180263
the only good truck are the ford ones
>>
That can't be good for the transmission
>>
You buy a truck so you can move appliances.
You buy a VAN so you can tow.
>>
>>199180263
this probably has to do with leverage or something
>>
>>199180433
They're unironically impossible to work on even at a VW dealership. A few of them had to rent forklifts and special hoists to remove the engine on them.

>>199180491
V10 TDis kill transmissions semi-often

>>199180779
Traction actually. The SUV has better tires.

there is a trend on trucks these days to have super thin tires. absolutely horrendous for off-roading.
>>
>>199180942
He's drunk or this idiot didn't want to wait in line and got stuck in fresh grass. Alternative he was trying to avoid the deadman pole by cutting it close. My work truck is a F350 Super Duty and half of the ones in our fleet have dents on the side of the bed past the rear tire because people cut the wheel too close being used to regular crossovers with a tighter turning radius + lower height.

>>199180949
I'm gay and it doesn't make a difference. Preference in vehicles has nothing to do with your penis size. Ethnicity and whether you like to top or bottom is more of a factor.

Stop. You're embarrassing us with your cope....
>>

i cannot imagine anybody who has any interest in cars and understand how they work would drive such a clown car
It's just too stupid, the whole thing is retarded. It isn't actually more powerful or useful than a normal truck

i'm pretty sure most of the people who buy this are insecure men and soccer moms as they call it
>>
>>199181152
No, it's the truth.

If anything straights have smaller penises because vaginas and the women attached to them don't care about the size, while gays as a whole have higher test overall regardless of race. If penis size was important there wouldn't be so many Asians.

that is 100% true
you see it everywhere in the USA

It's fun, from a coworker I know into diesel pickups including owning a 90s Ram 2500 that's as fast as a newer M3 they like to LARP/pretend they're truck drivers down to the rolling coal part. Theyre in awe of the horsepower being able to move a big heavy brick of a vehicle. For reference he is a 6'4 260lb white guy with a attractive wife. I never noticed him to be insecure, he's actually pleasant.

That and often they have some job or hobby where its nice to have. He races snowmobiles in the winter and his dad repairs Bobcats (small mini excavators, construction equipment common in NA). It's usually people with jobs that require them to carry lots of equipment (think welders, heavy equipment operators), have them camping at job sites long term and they have to haul a mobile home (happens in rural America), or they own horses/livestock.

I think Europeans just can't handle freedom of choice. There is no proverbial gun to your head making you buy a Superduty, and the people who own them either pay for it in maintenance (the diesel ones are unreliable for anything other than 20-30,000+ miles a year) or fuel (they often get 10mpg or less if it's a gasoline one)

Why doe it always come to muh freedumb with you people. You can buy a truck here if you want to. I see even those massive ones from time to time. Most people just don't want one because they don't need one and owning one isn't seen as a status symbol like it is over there.
>>
>>199180499
Here every gas station just rents trailers and shit for a tiny fee. No reason to spend $100,000 on a pickup truck you will use like once every 3 years.

I have a feeling people who actually need a pickup truck are aware enough that they wouldn't waste money on whatever new scam Ford or GM is peddling and instead just buys some used truck from the early 2000s or whatever that can actually be maintained without a degree in computer silence.
>>
>>199180263
Amerilards...not like this...
>>
>>199181668
Which is genuinely good, we have plenty of truck rental firms, too. There really is no need for the majority of people to own a truck. But it is beneficial for the family to own one. A good pre-owned truck, f150, will run around 20-30K and if it has 100k miles it has another 100k to go. Parts will fall out of the sky to fix it, and you can literally drive them into the dirt. You can move a lot of stuff with a truck and removing the middle man and ownership is an American cultural thing. They are also predominately popular in areas like Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado. Could you imagine why?
>>
>>199181663
Again, there's no proverbial gun to your head at the dealership making you buy a 3/4 ton pickup. Some people just want to own one because of work or hobbies. Alternatively it's a work expense which is why my workplace has a fleet of them. Utility or Railroad or Public Agencies buy fleets of 1000 pickups at a time from Ford Fleet. US Border Patrol for example bought a few thousand F150 Raptors for off road use in the desert.

The best selling cars here are the smaller Ford F150 (same cost as a Ranger/Navara/Hilux in the rest of the world) and the Toyota Rav4/Honda CRV. It's a status/luxury vehicle for most people. They cost the same as a mid spec 5-Series brand new, but white suburban and ruralites in America like having the big truck. Especially if they work blue collar jobs where it'll help or need to transport things on weekends (landscaping, ATVs/UTVs, boats, mobile homes, etc)

>Some people just want to own one because of work or hobbies.
Their work and hobbies being feeling insecure and needing a masculinity enhancer.
>>
>>199181903
The average European does not understand this level of ownership.
>>
>>199181969
Well if you want to stick your head in the sand then that's on you. Most of the insecure people I noticed are the ones worried about someone else's preferences in cars and how others will perceive them. Usually Europeans, especially the dumb ones (gypsies/bydlo/nafris that worship German luxury brands and the young white ones who don't want to be associated with "those undesirables")
>>
>>199180480
Mexicans love their Ford trucks
>>
>>199182172
You're the one sticking your head in the sand. You don't want to admit that your entire nation is brainwashed by car companies into thinking you need the truck when in reality you don't.

You're not listening to me and just want to push a stupid yimby /n/ urbanist agenda or you're ESL. I never said they need the truck, I'm saying they want to buy it which is why they pay more money for it.

Key word is WANT. They WANT to buy it. They pay extra up front and long term (fuel/maintenance) to pay for it.
>>
>>199182490
>I never said they need the truck
You did. You did try to avoid saying it, that's true. But you did end up saying it anyway. Apparently you didn't even notice. That's how deep the brainwashing is in you.

Looks like a Tiguan so probably a 4c or V8 if they offered that one. I think it comes more down to the all wheel drive

Please quote where I said they need the truck, I just said they choose to buy it and often with the justification they'll use it for work or hobbies. They are not going to be pulling a 7,000lb mobile home with a Sharan TDI or keep a 1000lb welding cart in the back of a Passat Wagon

No, really, please improve your English skills.
