How do greeks find out about suffering? Is it foreign films or do they teach it in school or something?

At the age of about 15 a lot of Greek boys have their first nightmare about living in a cold country, with no hot women, working all day. It's an event they call συμφορά. Their traumas get deluged in a sea of positive memories they experience after, but are never quite washed away. Most Greeks think this to be hell.
