What's the best way to block the sun from reaching the window and the inside of your home?
in Poland, none are really popular except maybe the metal rolling shutters recently
In Romania we just gauge out our eyes.
>>199961407Having your living room facing north, it must be one of your main criterion when choosing a housing.

>>199963328>but we have winters and I want to catch all the sun I can getJust go out ? Also I just talk about the room you spend most of the time in, not the whole house/appartment. And in fact it's even worse in winter with much more sunlight passing through the windows, can't watch your screens, can't keep delicate objects/fabrics/books etc.

>>199964129I see. Would a little bit less sun and more cold in the winter change your mind
My room's window is facing 262 degrees which is W with little bit of south so since around May I get direct sunlight to my room in the after noon. There are calculators for seeing the sun in each day of the year.I have A/C and shutters but If I stand close to them at around 3PM you can feel the heat, if you sit or take a nap long enough there you will feel it..that's why out side Sun protraction is the best because it's help with not feeling the heat that radiate the glass and shutters. As you can see my shutters(they are old), doesn't give you 100% sun and heat protection, But you live in Poland so I think it will be enough for you because your UV levels are lower and you get less direct sun.>>199964101I most not, you will have to open the window the use the lever. Some are electric or easily can be operate from inside. but they are quite expensive I think, epically the electric ones.
>>199964498I'll take more cold with pleasure, but you living further north means more horizontal sunlight in winter and that's exactly what I don't want. Also congrats for almost doxxing me lol.
In Slovenia they have commieblocks with window shutters
