my uncle works at a mortuary. he had an obese "client" once but the incenerator was far too small for him and he was afraid that the body might explode mid-burning due to the amount of fat in the body. his family insisted in having him cremated instead of just buying a custom casket so they had to burn the body in a garbage incenerator.
>>
>>200121330
And how did that go? Did his family find out
>>
I suppose many opt for cremation these days, but I'm old-fashioned and would prefer a Christian burial.
>>
>>200121330
the family knew, of course since they were also at the garbage disposal facility when he was incenerated.
he told me it was one of the weirdest experiences he's had. imagine a morbidly obese man being thrown into a dirty garbage incenerator, barely cleaned by the staff, the smell of rotting food, mountains of scrap and decaying carcasses in the background as well as crying family members mourning a loved one and a young priest trying his hardest not to vomit.

You know my grandma died recently and I had the duty of being one of the guys who get to carry her and lay her coffin down to the ground. I looked it up and apparently americans dont lower the casket down themselves. They have this little lift like machine that does the work for them. Do you guys lower it manually in other countries?
>>
>>200123195
The price of gluttony, I suppose.
Especially in the Philippines, you have to really be trying to be obese there.

For context in finland we use these cloth "belts" to do the lowering. You guys do the same, use a lowering machine or do some other method?
>>
>>200130687
In Germany we reverse deadlift the coffin int the hole. That's also why the exercise is called that.
>>
>>200130748
>tfw can't even deadlift lmao1granny
>>
>>200130787
You only have to be able to lift 1/2 or even 1/4 granny. You want to lower her down evenly together with others.

Before the day of the funeral I watched some youtube videos about the process and was kinda nervous of fucking it up and fumbling like this
https://youtu.be/UhPU9xY2C7U?si=SHwWFVN5kb2Ioacj
Luckily it all went pretty smooth for me, although I couldn't get a sense of tensioning and sliding the belt over my back/shoulder. I just controlled the decent entirely with my grip strenght while holding the belt in a bicep curl, it gave me a nice little friction burn on the palm. Some leather gloves would have been nice like the guys in video had.

Disfigurement of a corpse is a felony and I would not envy the guy who has to try and explain that situation to a judge.

did they let use internet, Fritz?
>On 25 January 2024, the Higher Regional Court approved Fritzl's move to a regular prison,[88][89] amid reports that he was suffering from dementia.[90] Within a week, prosecutors had filed a complaint seeking to overturn the decision in a higher court.[91] The court dismissed the complaint in May 2024 and again ruled that Fritzl should be transferred

For a moment I thought this thread was about unlawful methods of disposing the evidence.
Oh well.
>>
Sky burials should be a thing, never understood why that tradition didn't take off, compared to burials and cremations.
>>
>>200120040
>guy the family wants nothing to do with, is tasked with the funeral costs
lmao what a shit family.
>>
>>200120040
Do you have plus size incinerators?
>>
>>200133453
It sounds cool, but in practice its just abandoning a corpse into the wilderness to be picked by animals. Also the logistics of it all is a nightmare.

>5k for a box of wood
Fucking ridiculous jew business. I'd rather buy some planks and hammer it together myself.
>>
>>200135053
Yeah its really expensive stuff. It cost over 300 euros to get like a small death notice on the local newspaper. And this was not some big newspaper. The city only has a population of 20k.
>>
>>200130748
how do you lower them to a 3m hole by hands?

Some poor rural people here are buried wrapped in cloth.
I always found that a coffin is just a waste of wood. People say shit like "at least he got a proper burial, at least he is shelter (from the earth)".
Silly nonsense, give your body fully to the earth, let it embraces you.
Some old religions even plant trees were they bury their dead, magical sacred trees of knowledge that later can be used to talk with their ancestors.
