When you say "historical", do you mean real people that actually existed or Ubisoft's idea of historical?

Holger Danske is a legendary warrior who was mentioned in La Chason de Roland (Rolandskvadet) as "Oger le Danois", a giant twice the height of other man who laid waste to the enemies of the Danes. Legend goes that he sat down to sleep with the words that when the country was on the very brink of destruction, he would awaken and bring death to the enemy of the Danes once more. Over time, he turned into stone. He sits in the cellar below Kronborg slot, but several statues of him have been erected around the country too.

So far he's not felt we were in sufficient peril to wake up.
