in my home area (small rural town in eastern Poland) it's decreasing rapidly but I live in Warsaw now and it's only getting more and more crowded and real estate prices are going through the roof

I suspect we are taking in a lot of your people as well, due to Beijing reining in HK autonomy. Just like what happened in the years leading up to the handover when wealthy people from Hong Kong could literally buy Canadian citizenship and all of a sudden the population of Vancouver exploded.
