Why are they like this?
both are good, they should mix them and you will something like in japan
>>200178145Do you really prefer the commie blocks? Man I hear my neighbours take a shit in this 70s built Frankovka and don't have a driveway or garage for my car.
>>200178207except absolutely not, those are both low-density without mixed used, japan is the literal oppositehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlwQ2Y4By0U
>>200178757japan has both in one neighborhood, single family homes and government built commieblocks
>>200178757how is a commie-block low density? also you just take the elevator down and you're 200m from anywhere you want to go. commieblocks are so much better than the shit that places like the Dutch have
>>200178977>commieblocks are so much betterAs buildings, sure. The problem is why you build them and who you choose to put inside; "low income housing" projects can turn into indoors ghettos very quick.
>>200178894did you even watch the video>>200178977they are built very far from each other and the assumption is that everyone living in them commutes by car
>>200179095I've watched it two days ago
>>200179095there is too much open space between everything, of course that shit is not walkable
>>200179095basically american suburbs and eastern european commieblocks don't have shops nearby and they both need a car to go shopping
>>200178894Jap neighborhoods really are the best
>>200178894Why is it so shaky? Was this taken during an earthquake?
>>200179775it's from google earth
>>200178145>Is that middle income families being able to own their own freestanding home and land while in contact with their community???? Aaaaaah I'm going insane!!! Help me commieman!!!
>>200178145Post the total floor area difference
>>200180186cringe>>200180134based
Don't blame them too much, mutts have absolutely no concept of anything other than what they're used to.
>>200179665yes, that's called mixed-use, and it's usually illegal
I LOVE IT WHEN CORPORATIONS PROFIT OFF OF ME, I LOVE PAYING FOR POORLY MADE PRODUCTS THAT ARE EXPENSIVE. I LOVE MY COUNTRY SO MUCH!
>>200179665>eastern european commieblocks don't have shops nearbythere are shops everywhere thoughthese commieblock suburbs were actually planned pretty well and there's everything there within walking distance, schools, clinics, shopsthe new ones are usually trash, at best there will be space for one or two grocery shops
>>200178145commieblocks are fugly stop coping lol
>>200178145>having a big house is le bad
>>200181425It is like the hippies in the 60s again who rebelled against their parents lol>A large house for middle class people? I hate thatPeople are so fucking lame these days honestly
>>200178145should have used a picture of one of those parking lots that fit 20000 cars that they use
>>200178145My house is a lot bigger and i have much more property, it’s very nice.
>>200181501>build a parking>make it so big you need a car to get out of it in reasonable time anyway
>>200178894This works because japan lacks bbcs snd rednecks
>>200180296Blimey I sure love taking the tube for 3 hours to get to me job, almost as pleasant as the ride home! I sure love me Indian neighbors I can smell through the walls! Nothing makes me cheerier than paying 90 pound for a train ride because I don’t have a drivers loicense because even if I could afford a car, there is no place to park! At least I got me bike I need to stuff in me apartment! God save the king! Rule Brittania!
Apartment blocks are great as long as the insulation is good.Lived in it my whole life.
>>200183657>Blimey I sure love taking the tube for 3 hours to get to me jobThat's the North American transit experience, especially in shitholes like Atlanta where the metro stretches all the way into the distant suburbs just to shuttle wagies to work downtown. In London, for comparison, the tube is bound to be faster than the car for most trips, and what's great about the tube is that there's such a high density of stations all over the place (and such a high density of lines and line interchanges) that it doesn't matter where your destination is. You're not forced into the "suburb to downtown" paradigm like North American wagies are; you can live in fucking Greenwich and go all the way to the Western end of London in about an hour (whereas by car it'll take you at least that long, and probably quite a bit longer).
>>200183657The bottom picture is Boston thoughbeit.
>>200183949This image is bullshit. It doesn't show the roads and skyscrapers around it
>>200180394I also prefer mixed use ones, you could just walk nearby and you could go into a pizza place or a clothes store
>>200179095Seems like a skill issue. Why would they do that?
>>200178145>having house and yard is somehow equal or worse than living in a box where you can hear every fart 3 apartments away and balcony is just refuge for smokerswas this supposed to be gotcha?
>>200179665the picture czechanon posted contains two metro stations with one of them having minor shops and other having several supermarkets, restaurants and pubs around it, and even without metro you can walk through the entirety of 'centrální park' within 15 minutes if you take slow pace, shit is both walkable and public transportable (if you buy yearly public transport pass it costs you like 0,5 dollar per day)
