Because it's unironically very true, at least in our country. The Patriot Act changed everything. Soon the internet will be censored on a similar premise

they don't want to admit that they thing that changed the world was their overreaction to towelheads and the impending cultural imperialism they exported to the rest of the world.
in their mind, only the result of evil is wrong, not the causes. so us destabilizing the middle east and then spreading fag culture everywhere is actually an ultimate good, and not the ultimate cause of why everything is shittier after 9/11

watch us bail out the banks again next year so we can spread more fag culture overseas when the global economy collapses
>>
>>200187551
shit was bad before, you just didn't hear about it because the world wasn't hyper political before 9/11

Clinton letting Osama go in 1998 would be a political death sentence for his entire party now. It barely passed the radar on the nightly news even when it was discovered that we basically allowed the architect of 9/11 go, multiple times, because we were trying more of that fancy nation building that has never worked in the middle east.

Obama did the same shit with fast&furious. Arm gangsters and cartel members with the finest US weaponry we could flood into Mexico and surprise, the cartels overtook the Mexican military in power.

The era of the 90's was a flash in the pan caused by retarded politicians being unable to fuck up the decade in time. 9/11 was a course correction back to the norm of interfering in world governments and passing the consequences to the taxpayer.
>>
As a kid in 2001, this shit donĀ“t change my life in any way.

It was just a bit of fun to know that a distant war was being fought and that's all.
