do normies try to force the foreign american halloween holiday into becoming a thing in your country?
in my country kids are dressing up and knock on doors and ask for candy like they're in an american movie or something. i tell them i don't have any candy and close the door.
no one eats pumpkins here but they buy and carve them anyway.
i don't like normies forcing foreign customs they've seen in media and think are normal when they're not.

>in my country kids are dressing up and knock on doors
you must live somewhere nice
easter dressing up was already dying out when I grew up, and considering Halloween is a such a new thing, I can't imagine any single person doing that

Americanization is inevitable.
Zoomer kids won't even use native languages in Nordic countries in daily life.
>>
Despite being an American thing it feels surprisingly sweet and sovlful to me when cute kids dress up as Dracula or whatever and knock on doors around the neighborhood, especially if their parents are taking them and the neighborhood are in good spirits about everything. Plus I did it myself as a kid so something feels nice about going full-circle and giving back.

What I have a problem with is when grown adults dress as random goyslop characters with zero connection to horror. I know either way it's still consumerism but it's just too direct about it, it rips out even the illusion of any soul about it. Might as well just be "cosplay day".

Oh and for the record I'm not against grown women wearing slutty outfits, but I just want them to keep it inkeeping with the theme. Gothic shit, sexy vampires, succubi etc.

Literally one of the best parts of American culture
>>
it's insane to me that there are people who look more forwards to halloween than to christmas

Halloween certainly feels like a bigger thing compared to previous years
>>
It's an Irish holiday
>>
>>204051184
It's an older European tradition than Christmas.
Originates in Roman Saturnalia.

In my country nobody walks anymore and Republican boomers will call the cops if you knock on their door so people only do "trunk or treat" instead in parking lots. They usually have a religious or LGBTQ+ theme depending on if they are at a church or library.

weird no one is going around here maybe the WEEN is migrating east?

Why are you being such a Debbie Downer? Halloween is for the kids just like Christmas time. Its a fun time for thr kids to dress up as their favourite monsters or super heroes and they can get free candy and chocolate from their neighbourhood. People decorate their houses and some people go as far as making "spooky maze obstacle courses" in their driveways. People have fun.

>AMERICANS HAVE NO CULTUREEEE OMG

What about grown men dressing up like dracula or something and going trick or treating for candy for themselves?
>>
>>204053688
reading comprehension is a wonderful thing

No that kinda takes away from the cute innocent vibes of trick or treating when adults do it too. Maybe pubs should take adult trick or treaters and offer them complimentary drinks as the treat, that'd be acceptable because it'd be away from the kids.

Halloween is a native European tradition. It came from the Celts that kept celebrating it in the US after moving there and it evolved.

it is. that's why your boys are wearing jarhead helmets and fight with M-16s instead of vodkanigger gear now.

84F today in the Northeast, warmest Halloween since the 1940s.

>dressing up, getting candy and going on adventures knocking on doors
If you get butthurt at children wanting to do this rather than going to great grandpa's grave or something you're a dipshit

It's soulful and high-trust pilled but it's american slop alien to our cultures so we must hate it (in our countries). Simple as

Hundreds of normies literally crushed each other to death in my country while celebrating muh halloween. I doubt anyone of them even celebrated our traditional holidays.
