Despite being an American thing it feels surprisingly sweet and sovlful to me when cute kids dress up as Dracula or whatever and knock on doors around the neighborhood, especially if their parents are taking them and the neighborhood are in good spirits about everything. Plus I did it myself as a kid so something feels nice about going full-circle and giving back.What I have a problem with is when grown adults dress as random goyslop characters with zero connection to horror. I know either way it's still consumerism but it's just too direct about it, it rips out even the illusion of any soul about it. Might as well just be "cosplay day".Oh and for the record I'm not against grown women wearing slutty outfits, but I just want them to keep it inkeeping with the theme.
