At least here in Australia, women and desperate white knights become personally offended by cute depictions of young girls. The women because they know they have no chance of competing and the guys because they think being seen that way is an effective route to getting laid. Kind of pathetic, really.

Lmao our national day ad was animated by Toei
https://youtu.be/XPKrrlvxM3w?si=EQFrYRJfBn6zDclX
We have a movie about Surah al-fil also animated by Toei
https://youtu.be/EP6FKs1JsnE?si=kAa5aZ0gKK_mOQf6

Apparently the crown prince himself grew up watching anime so there's a sudden wave of state support for animation. Ads and local cultural products are animated by Japanese studios and written by Saudis. We used to be a proper country

There's only two kinds of weebs here, super cringe reddit tier people who watch the most normalfag of anime and drop anime references all day
And weebs who might watch all the same anime but hide their power level because they hang out with village type people who will laugh in their face if they knew you watched "children's cartoons"
>>
>>204367547
Wtf??

The characters in the second video are all well-known voice actors.
I wonder how much the Saudi Prince paid Toei and the voice actors...(・_・;)
>>
>>204367668
Gaijins disliked it saying it's blasphemy but I loved it desu. It told the story in the most respectful way possible while still being entertaining
>>204367692
You guys should really look into depicting Arab culture in anime we eat it up good. Sinbad Adventure was so good our TV stations dubbed it very well until some thought it was a local production. You'd make hella money from our market. Hijabi waifus pls
>>204367695
>>204367760
The budget was $15 million USD. The Arabic voice actors are also well known singers. The movie was heavily promoted in cinema and needed to be good. They also worked with Toei on an isekai series
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future%27s_Folktales
(This one wasn't very good)

Japan already buys most of our oil and are our friends. If we ever want a local animation industry we will call you for help (ꈍᴗꈍ)
>>
>>204367825
>Gaijins disliked it saying it's blasphemy
Many such cases
>>
>>204367846
Does Indonesia make anime? Maybe you guys can do something halal. We don't have enough talent for anime we only make comics. I think the government is funding videogames (some supported by Japanese devs) too but not much came out of it yet
>>
>>204367889
No, we're dogshit about it
Malaysia do have a strong animation industry, but it's all 3D CG
>>
>>204365435
To be fair your countrymen also simp for underage gacha characters all the time too.
>>
>>204367961
Proof???
>>
>>204367889
>Does Indonesia make anime?
Yes, we do. But we have no strong industry. The talent mostly work for small indie studio doing outsource work for bigger multinational studio.
>>
I watched it.

We don't have anything like this because we hate anything fun or interesting. We also hate Japan and criticise it for things that we are 100x worse at.
>>
>>204374698
I don't know why you anglos seem to hate japan and anything relating to them so much.
>>
>>204367547
Aren't you Arabs obsessed with like old mecha anime for some reason? Like Grendizer, Aizenborg and that stuff.
>>
>>204374799
The older ones yeah. Younger people are more familiar with Naruto and Dragon Ball

The reason is money. We used to consume anime on Spacetoon rather than western cartoons because they were cheaper. So stations would play whatever was cheap and alter it a bit to suit the audience (censorship and changing some story elements). This altering is done with the intent of instilling good moral values, so some popular anime like this one changed the opening to include a song that was originally in support of Palestinian liberation
https://youtu.be/IKrTiwvYVZU?si=d2dkD3aDkdh9Pa-G

It resonates with them a lot. Nowadays people stream the same popular stuff as the west. MHA, Death note, you know
>>
>>204374764
We can't have good things happen in our society because someone will be there to criticise it and drag us down like crabs in a bucket.
We also can't look to other countries to see how we can improve our own because we still think we're better than everyone.
Since Japan has a better society than ours by all metrics, we hate Japan out of jealousy and delusion.

It was still altered to be kid friendly of course. They still run commercials asking people to donate for Palestine
