Do you remember the moment you turned 18? I was born in 2000, and my father promised me a family trip to Western Europe: Milan (we’re also AC Milan fans), Venice, Paris, and Austria. Suddenly, my father encountered financial troubles and had to cancel the trip, but he had another plan to go see the 2018 World Cup in Russia. It was France vs. Belgium, though there were no AC Milan players. I remember taking the train from Moscow to St. Petersburg for 3 hours; there was an old lady who offered me free bread. I had just landed in Moscow and hadn’t had time to eat. We talked for 2 hours using Google Translate and body language, as most people didn’t speak English, and every sign, even restaurant menus, was in Cyrillic. That still remains the last time I went abroad
>>204747783i actually dont remember anything, my depression fucked me up a lot - also aged me a bit, only in my mid-20's but folks assume i'm 35
it was 2008 when i turned 18 and non-whites had no access to the Internet. Those were the days
i don't remember it but it was 3:01pm on a Friday so i imagine i was walking home from school alone and staring at the goth girl who walked in the same direction on the other side of the street

>>204747783Yes, I was completely alone just like I am now (28), I was sitting in front of my computer and probably browsing 4chan. Nobody remembered it was my birthday aside from my mom.People outside were probably partying since my birthday is december 31. This makes it even more grim for me.
>>204747952I've been here since at least 15/17 years, can't remember exactly, and it was full of boomers and people on their 20s when I first started browsing, the majority being people in their 20s

>>204747783One of the first things that happened after I turned 18 was I had my wisdom teeth removed. The appointment was very shortly afterwards, IIRC it was like four days after my birthday. It was the first time that I was knocked out with a general anesthesia, but I have an impression that I could register crunching, cracking noises in my head with no pain. I still have the teeth, and I keep them in a little tin box with my treasures. Three are whole, and a fourth was split into like five pieces. Maybe that was the crunching I thought I sensed. The stitched up the regions behind my back molars and it healed fine over a month-plus. The stitches fell out naturally and I spat them out or something.I don't have too many clear memories, except that in general, life was fine. Wrapping up high school, plans had been laid for college. Somewhere around this point I filled out and sent in my legally required Selective Service card at the post office like a good goy. IIRC on the evening of prom I was alone in my room a few blocks away playing Final Fantasy Tactics, perfectly happy, doing exactly what I wanted to do with my life and not the least bit interested in what other people were doing.About ten years later, a series of postcards came to my new address from the high school, asking me to update contact information/advertising reunions. I threw them all out. I had a fine time in high school, didn't hate it, but what do you care, you have my address already. That period of life is over, why would I want to go back to the building.
>>204747783i dont really remember anything from those times at all. i dont think i have any specific memories from the age of 13-22 I can recall, only general notions of things i did. probably due to bad sleep habits and maybe chronic depression idk or possibly from head injuries

18 was the start of my second phase of introversion. Especially when I graduated hs and moved in with my dad and went to community college. I just lived at home the whole time and hardly made any friends. Came straight home from class to sit alone and watch anime or jerk to yiff. My life is a complete joke and I tell myself every single day how much I hate myself.
>>204747870He's right though it was much better without brown people shitting everything up with their ESL prose.
