So what's the catch?
https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/europe/italy/italy-one-euro-homes-how-buy-house-b2639062.html
There's no building material right is that the catch?
Or you need like a gorillian permits and permissions to put up a beam like in the US. Or the zoning laws force you to build a septic tank?
Or the space is really small so you can't do gardening and farming or raise livestock?
I don't actually care about the election result but this seems like a trick offer. Thousands of poor americans would take a 1 euro home easy.
Especially young guys who think they have no future and dropped out from society.
How should we americans escape?
I've been living in a car for 5 months.

they're either located in crime ridden shitholes or in some place so remote you have no running water or electricity and will be extorted by the local guido guild all the same
>>
>>204767872
Still only one euro. Might as well buy them all up
>>
>>204767872
>they're either located in crime ridden shitholes
well yeah, they're in Italy
>>
>>204768016
There hasn't been a murder registered in North Italy in over 20 years (Fact!)
>>
>>204767788
Its not actually 1 euro. That's the starting bid price in a auction
>You won’t be able to make vague promises about refurbishing your new pad sometime in the future, either - new owners are required to submit details of a renovation project within two to 12 months of purchase (depending on the location), start work within one year, and complete it within the next three.

It’s also worth noting that not every property ends up being sold for just a euro. Popular houses have become the subject of a bidding war, with several going for €5,000 or even €20,000.

>>204767788
probably in a shit area with high unemployment
we also have cheap houses in the far east, but you will never find a job there

just work remote bro
it's 2020+4
>>
>>204768531
"finding a job" is a jewish grift
people don't need jobs they need to produce towards society.
Working in german HR isn't a real job, jens
>>
>>204767788
have to rebuildt it to its original standard within a couple of years.
>>
in rural finland you can buy a house for less than 10000€ with no requirement to renovate it or anything

the catch is that you're obliged to renovate them in some measure, and they're in the middle of nowhere, there are lots of of old farmers' villages that are disappearing because of people moving to bigger towns
>>204768016
no crime, there's no one to commit it
>>204768531
no jobs, there are no employers
>>
>>204768926
i honestly daydream about getting one and go full Ted Kaczynski
>>
>>204768695
That sucks because I'm not an italian contractor so I won't be able to just do it myself the the local materials. And the standard is arbitrary determined by them.
this really seems more like a scam to steal money from americans.
>>204768744
yeah but as per usual with these things being allowed to stay in the country as an american is complicated unless you're rich as fuck and can shrug it off.
>>
>>204769080
>this really seems more like a scam to steal money from americans
hold on, you mean that 1 euro houses are not fully functional, intact mansions?
>>
>>204768744
same, oh wait, i bought one of thoose lol...
with the money i got left im considering buying one in southern sweden or finland or maybe as north as i can go in norway?
>>
>>204767872
why do trannies feel the need to vent out their transexual opinions?
>>204768531
>in the far east
german far east is not a desirable location to live in. check that the whole country isn't particularly attractive but normies still fall for le job scam
>>204768667
correct
>>
>>204769080
look at martijn doolaard on yt, even if you dont want such a house he makes a comfy & cozy yt channel about his project.
>>
>>204768744
I’d rather live amongst the níggers
>>
>>204768926
>the catch is that you're obliged to renovate them in some measure
As long as I can buy wood and roof materials without having to import it, then it shouldn't be so hard. Refinishing a house is trival too. I'm more concerned with big issues like broken plumbing and structural damage.
And even worse is is the visa complications. This is clearly to just promote tourism and bring in lots of foreign money for people who want cheap property but spend 100k euros in renovations for their italy villa.
>there are lots of of old farmers' villages that are disappearing because of people moving to bigger towns
I would love to just get someone's old farm and reenforce the structures and start putting some animals in there.
That's actually what I want to do in my country, but farming here is more of a rich person's hobby your you're born into a wealthy farming family.
Visa problems concern me the most. It's not fair that refugees get expensive hotels and free credit cards.
>>
>>204769254
You already do
>>
>>204769123
No, but I'd require more than two months to fully understand want they want in safety considerations and then make the renovations myself and source all the materials in a country that speaks a different language.
>>
>>204769298
i see lots of americans that moved here, you're exaggerating how hard it is
>>
>>204769248
Woah super cool. Most of this would be illegal in the US and cause you to get shot in your sleep by glowing agents in a helicopter.
>>
beeseurotravel on yt bought a house in sicily after ditching france (because it was shit) and they're renovating it
>>
>>204769388
Yes I am because I don't actually know how hard it fully is... but I guess I can just say fuck it, spend all my savings, and come back home with my tail in my legs if it goes wrong.
>>204769529
but they're already european so it'll be much cheaper and easier than an american doing it.
Euros are so tough on us despite always acting like we owe them shit.
>>
>>204767788
The catch is you then live in Italy.
>>
>>204769559
go after that euro citizenship lil bro
millions of south americans are doing it
>>
>>204767788
You need to fix it up and it can be in the middle of nowhere, I actually feel like those youtubers out there who do it would be worth watching to get an idea of what it's like, there's so many of them both in Italy and other countries where they got a cheapo fixer upper home
>>
>>204769559
they're american, get in touch
>>
>>204769599
I already live in weimerica bro
>>
>>204769431
usa is suprisingly non free for being the land of the free, this lifestyle is still pretty available in much of europe.
now i got stuck on his channel again, love his monk neighbour when he gets drunk and him doing all this work with just a suzuki samurai.
>>
>>204769620
Europeans deliberately make it very hard for americans, but I guess so.
>>204769742
yeah, I think it's worth a shot.
>>204769779
it might be hard to tell because of how cool and intelligent I am but I'm bad at socializing.
>>204770040
seriously? I fucking love europe now.
I literally just want to build my own shit and homestead, but all homestead rights basically got raped and shitted on in the US.
>>
>>204770129
>"homestead"
that specific word glows cringe, no one in their right mind wants to homestead. even my cabin in bumfuck nowhere my granfather and his friends laid out a power line to, they made a road that is driveable all year. it has everything you can get in a suburb, yet its in the middle of nowhere. dont come here and """homestead""" me, other landowners and the samis will fuck you up.
buy a property, live on it like a normal person and we dont care.
>>
>>204767788
They are old historical houses therefore in often somewhat remote villages
>>
>>204770445
Ok I will be a normal person... but I will also grow my own food and animals... do all my repairs and building.
>>
>>204771010
thats the problem. you need about 500 acres to do that, internet has lied to you, you cant homestead on 5 acres. you can only be an insufferable hippie on that land. get a job and relax at your remote cabin like the rest of us after hours.
t. farmer with 500++ acres of land and its jusr a hobby, daytime jobs pay for out existence
>>
>>204771318
I don't want to work at mc donalds in norway
>>
>>204771318
>get a job
always a horrible advice, kys
>>
>>204771671
Based Italian, I've decided to take the risk and get the 1 euro home even though the visa shit will be a nightmare as an american. I love Italians now.
>>
>>204767788
>There's no building material right is that the catch?
What do you mean with building material rights?
>>
>>204772043
>There's no building material, right? Is that the catch?
stop making me punctuate we don't do that in america unless it's in email
>>
>>204769599
The catch is that there's not a single 1€ house on the Adriatic side of the country because you miserable faggots scared away all the foreigners
