Was changing 餌 and 餅 really such a priority compared to all the other kanji inconsistencies? They aren't even easier to write, have the same number of strokes, and I'd say they're probably more confusing now than before since they don't align with all the other eating kanji

Is it true that you only hold hands with your true love in Japan and no one else?I'm asking this because in Latin America you pretty much hold hands with everyone

>>216424635Hello lads, I now can get grammar points, but remembering them or specially being sharp to the point you can use on daily conversation (in various such situations).Whats a good anki template for memorizing such grammar point in different phrases, or alternatively a good deck with plenty of them already?
>>216445933>Whats a good anki template for memorizing such grammar point in different phrases, or alternatively a good deck with plenty of them already? There was https://dojgdeck.neocities.org/ but the link is broken now. I never used any grammar deck but I'm learning just fine, just immerse a lot (゚∀゚)You can check anything in https://dojglite.github.io/main/ but I greatly recommend to just search any expression you don't understand in the「○○とは」format and read about them in the first results you get, if you can read the explanations (usually they're aimed towards foreigners so they're not very hard)

>>216446729Trust me anon, you'll only really be able to use it when you acquire it, not when you memorize it. Misusing anki and thinking that using it would be better than just actually trying hard and reading/watching/listening has wasted many hours of my time, and I wish someone had warned me about that before. Don't know if you're a beginner or how you're learning Japanese, but I'll tell you it's very painful at first, I know, but it's the only way. >t. comfy raw anime watcher >(por sinal brasileiro vivendo no japão)キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!!
>>216447030Just to be clear, I do still use anki, but I try my best to keep it just as a complimentary thing. And every time I reached some kind of milestone (10, 20 animes with Japanese subs watched, done reading a short VN, things like that) I would notice a lot of improvement in my output.

>>216450480あーなるほど。理解しました。そのBEFOREとNOWの変形に僕はあまり気が付いてなかったw そこについてあまり気にしてないですw
>>216447030I'm aware anon, but you must understand, some grammar points are used as frequently in all types of media, some aren't used that much in conversations (specially when they talking to foreigners they tend to keep it simple). That's exactly why I want something I can cram in as much different phrases for same usage, to get used to the different usages.I can't tell you how much I got lost in conversation just because they used a grammar point in a slightly different way, it may sound stupid just having to stop and thinking about it is already a hiccup. And believe me, I'm living in Japan brother, luckily been having lots of opportunities to talk nihonjins, and I've improved dramatically over the past months. But still, I want still take to next level (also JLPT coming next month, so...)

For someone wanting to consume shows and random content, would it be better to go with a dedicated service like jme or get a VPN and watch regional stuff on pre existing services like Netflix and amazon? Obviously a VPN comes with a lot of benefits but I figured I'd ask anyway

>>216450791>I can't tell you how much I got lost in conversation just because they used a grammar point in a slightly different way, it may sound stupid just having to stop and thinking about it is already a hiccup. In my experience, I only started to fix that when I began reading more. When I started to read a bunch, then "rare" grammar points and vocab aren't going to be as rare, and if they still are rare, then they're probably not important anyway. Plus my listening skills got better too for some reason.>That's exactly why I want something I can cram in as much different phrases for same usage, to get used to the different usages. You could do this by simply mining sentence cards (I used the card creation guide on learnjapanese.moe), no need to make pre-made decks IMO. I was really into sentence cards a while back, but nowadays I'm gravitating towards making vocab cards only.I never went to Japan myself and I don't know what level you are exactly nor when you'll be leaving, but I can assure you it would be best if you made friends with someone that is willing to talk to you all the time and correct you (I'm assuming most Japanese people IRL act exactly like they are in VRChat, usually pretending that your grammar and wording are correct and that they're understanding everything you're saying). If you're on limited time then I guess much less reading and more social interactions. Unless you're outside all the time and are a huge 陽キャ, consider joining VRChat when you aren't already chatting with someone, plus it's easier to make friends there, I'd say. You could even do オフ会 with people you meet there.Anyways, that Anki deck I showed you was probably what you were looking for, but I don't have a clue how to find it after the site went down (;´д`)トホホ>But still, I want still take to next level (also JLPT coming next month, so...)ファイト、オー (ΦωΦ) Which level are you taking?

Do you guys practice the kanji stroke order to memorize the characters? Or is there a better and simple way to memorize kanji?
>>216466804I cant even write all the kana, you can combine an rtk deck (kanji front / vague meaning back) with a core vocab deck like kaishi and then just mine words and "learn kanji" through them
