Mexibros can you help me.
Last year a friend of mine went to Mexico and brought a bottle of Mezcal with him. I don't know what it was called nor do I recognize the bottle, I've given up ever getting the exact same thing.
However this one was quite sweet and had the flavour of smoked pineapple. It was stupidly good - I think the best hard liquor I have ever tasted.

Is there a major mezcal brand which is also a bit like this? I've had other here and they just taste like straight up smoke.

Most of our Mezcal gets exported to U.S.A and Europe as it hasn't really caught on here like Tequila since Mezcal is more expensive and less famous. Not sure which brand that could be tho, I'm more of a whisky guy

You're probably referring to Mezcal Ahumado, which (as the name implies) has a smokey flavor meant to mimic barbecue/grilling.
But yeah, I would need more details regarding the bottle cause Pineapple flavored Mezcal is not that uncommon. I'm leaving you one as picrel that I know of
