Caminamos por el silencia y pedimos respuestas.(i thought about writing "a través de" first, but thought it would be too literal, is that true?)La vida se siente corta cuando la muerte es cercana. Tengo miedo de lo que viene después. A veces, la fé se siente vacía. Buscamos sentido en un mundo que no responde. El miedo crece cuando enfrentamos lo desconocido a solas.El silencio puede ser más espantoso que la verdad. La duda sigue a los que buscan la certidumbre. La esperanza sobrevive aún cuando la razón falla. Just finished my first book in russian that isn't intended for language learners (harry potter and the philosophers stone). At first it was really difficult but as I progressed through it, it got easier and towards the end of it I could read several pages without having to look up words/grammar. Next milestone is reading a "real" book in russian, I started reading roadside picnic this morning and it seems manageable, lots of dialogue which is great, hopefully there are more idiomatic expressions in this than in HP.
Potent input, I will study these posts >>219310562 >>219311223
I'm currently unemployed and have plenty of time - is it any realistic to become communicative in about 2 months in a different slavic language as a polnish native speaker? I tried to learn russian once, so i know cyrylic and some basic phrases, but I dropped it quickly.
will he be /ourguy/?
>>219324964probably unrealistic but why don't you just try and see for yourself, what have you to lose
French or Spanish? I want to reach a communicative level by the end of the year, at the latest by the end of January next year. After that it will be Portuguese or Japanese or Chinese, once I learn how to learn languages

language learning youtube needs to die. all of its sensationalism and faggotry, the same 20 minute video made over and over and over again with the same talking points and retarded lingo. what an abysmal piece of shite slop. even in this thread half the posts sound like taken straight from the script of one such video. >there are no stupid questions yes nigger there are, almost every question asked here is incredibly retarded and the result of youtube induced brain damage swear to god, half the people in here don't want to learn a language, they just want to theorycraft and talk about learning a language and how to do it, instead of doing literally anything that'd be a better use of their time
From most to least pleasant to talk to, rank the following: French speakers, Spanish speakers, Portuguese speakers, German speakers
