its a good language for dabbling if you just want to mess with a little. its not like asian or slavic languages where you need lots of work just to get basic understanding

but no rly theres a lot of important patterns that dont change a lot in irish/scottish gaelic (gu math/tha mi/etc) are relatively fixed and get repeated over and over so early progress is a lot more visible than in vietnamese where you need tones internalized to understand basic things or korean where theres 50 ways to say basic sentence patterns. so you get real results from early efforts its not as big of an initial commitment

This is random but for anyone this helps, a lot of Assimil and Linguaphone courses that aren't on Anna's Archive or ruTracker _are_ on Soulseek

You're unironically right. This site is a cesspool for every hobby and niche you can think of. Even the military enlistment thread is mostly neverserveds and clowns who were ad-sepped or BC'd out. They RARELY, if ever, give good advice there. So I should expect the same here. Thanks for setting me straight, anon.

/adv/ is my favorite board to browse because its always the blind leading the blind
>>
>>220046596
what other boards do you guys browse?

Mostly just /int/ and /sp/ for me. I used to browse /mu/ and /lit/ a lot, but not so much anymore. Sometimes /a/ too here and there.

I don't use 4chan much these days. For me, it's /int/ and /qst/ (my mainstays). I may hop into /trv/ or /s/ once in a while.
