Is there anyone here that genuinely likes ALL 30 songs from Project Diva X? I have about 10 hours into it so far and... it's different, but I like it.
I just cannot willingly play Satisfaction or Streaming Heart. I know everyone has their own personal taste, but to me these songs especially just don't have the same quality and catchiness as the rest of the track list. Calc, Raspberry Monster, and Strangers were also generic sounding to me at first, but they really grew on me since I started playing.
I love kz but Satisfaction just sounds so bleh. And deco... why. Just why.
And I am still as mad at how they cut Mrs. Pumpkin as I was during release.

I'm not a fan of Satisfaction either I prefer covers to the original. But the song is okay, I don't think it's any worse than kz's other songs. And Streaming Heart is still peak Deco era, it's a classic. So is Calc.

The songlist is just too small for a full game though. And while the medleys are cool it just feels like a missed opportunity to me, I would love to play all of the songs in the medleys as full songs instead. Especially the Giga medley.

I've yet to see one, so I'm thinking of baking up a thread for Voiceroid/software talk, though it'll take awhile to put together a pastebin with all the relevant links and info.

It overlaps some with Vocaloid but it's a DEEEP rabbit hole of content especially when you peer into the ソフトウェアトーク劇場 tag on Niconico (original skits/stories), so I figure it merits its own thread. There isn't much of a fandom for it outside of Japan yet, though rare fansubs do exist (probably mostly just mine, sadly).

So stuff like Voiceroid is basically a cousin to Vocaloid, but focused on speech instead of singing (some characters do both like Yuzuki Yukari).

On Niconico, it gave birth to a genre of content now called ソフトウェアトーク劇場 (Software Talk Theatre), where people make use of the ample free character sprites and music/sfx/artwork etc. to make original skits and stories. (Kind of similar in style to Visual Novels but it's more bite-sized content)

That's the gist of it, but I've been gorging on the stuff they pump out for years and now I'm hopelessly addicted. Also like 80% of it is yuri.

Now if I find a song I like, I usually download it in addition to the bookmark. YT-DLP is nice enough to add the video code to the filename so if I the video goes down, at least I can search my downloads by the code from the bookmark's URL.

i prefer to listen to albums. album by album. i am disappointed that a lot of you don't do that.
i tend to name folders only artist - album, and exclude the circle name because i don't care.
that way they sort by artist and all of their music will group up together in the playlist.
i pause playback when i leave for work then i come home and unpause. i will do this in the middle of songs and not restart them.
pretty much all of my waking moments at home i'm listening to music. i get 365-day scrobbling streaks on last.fm. most of the time i will just let it play and hear a singular artist's entire discography. i like to hear it all in perspective of one another. i like hearing how artists evolve and innovate.

i tend to use sequential playback mode because my library is too large for shuffle to make a good mix.
i also have a skip song plugin, and i mark all the karaoke/vocal off/human singers/utatteshita tracks to be skipped.
this makes shuffle marginally better, while also preserving the album's integrity so you nerds can download from me unmodified.
i have a SQL database backing up my collection. both my collection, foobar install including appdata folder and SQL database, are protected by cloud services.
i also have a plugin that lets me favorite tracks i think are worth hearing, they get sent to a different playlist automatically. i prefer to use shuffle on that playlist, since it's singular songs off of albums it kinda makes more sense.
i have other plugins that help me copy off compressed transcodes of my favorite tracks so i can copy them to my phone and listen to them in my car.
which i keep as redundant data because i have 24TB of storage and don't really mind what's clogging it up.
