i realise in retrospect i shouldve used a cg from the ooe trial instead. ive failed you all im sorry
Can I get use the Ooe demo save to continue in the full game?
Ooe tmr huh. Time passes so fast. What are you currently playing anons?
https://vndb.org/r122592Didn't know that someone made a fan android port for paradise. Based.
>>48061600>OoeI'm hyped to hear how it is but I doubt I'm going to be playing it on release>what are you currently playingthat other anon gave me the drive to go back and finish Zettai Kaikyuu GakuenI only have Touya and Rei left now, although I'll try to pace myself by alternating routes
>>48062003How is it anon, Zettai? I want to start it too desu. I'm between this and blackish house. For bl maybe I'll wait for ooe and start Haiiro or another pilslash bl, like Dystopia no Ou or paradise fandisks.
>>48061600Hooked on a mobage, Noctilucent. It has dark fantasy elements and a lot of angst and lore, that I did not expect. Interesting plot too. Made me miss lamento. Other than that, waiting for ooe and DistortedCode. Might start 9 rip or virche.
>>48062059ZKG is pretty vanilla and cute as far as my tastes go, but the guys are juuust menhera enough to keep me interested, a bit edgier than the average console otome. The mystery aspect is 50/50, this heroine is DUMB so there's a lot stuff you see coming from a mile away, but there's also plenty of things to ponder about that only get revealed in the true routes.I'll always recommend playing Paradise Musubi and maybe Kiwame. Musubi feels like a third of the game that was cut out and I consider it unskippable, Kiwame is more optional but nice for extra character routes, and it gives a lot more closure. Paradise is really a trilogy.
>>48062147Thank you anon. Maybe I'll start BH then, I heard Z is the best of all and what I'm looking for. But Zettai is definitely on my list too.I'm specifically looking for something darker and psychological thriller. So maybe I should just go ahead with paradise.
>>48061600Looking forward to seeing what people think about Ooe. For me, it's too early to make decisions on new releases before reading others' impressions so I hope it ends up being enjoyable.>>48062059Oh yeah, I'm the other anon who's reading 絶対階級学園. Glad to see others getting inspired to read it as well. As much as I enjoy reading it and felt it was extremely useful for my purposes (voice collection/replay + JP learning to improve my reading speed), the repetitive writing is what kind of kills it, especially during the common route where you're forced to read the same or similar content over and over again. The protagonist might be dumb, though I think in many cases her denseness is on the believable side to me.So far I've finished everyone's 石ころ routes just to check out all the LIs and Haru's 薔薇 route. As mentioned before by the other anon, the game is fairly vanilla and predictable; however, I have to say the latter (Haru's 薔薇 route) did give a rather big impression on me. For what it is, the characterization and plot in Haru's Rose route was done well to the point where it did felt like it conveyed something meaningful. The protagonist's ultimate downfall to conform to the school's stifling environment and her lack of empathy to understand Haru's dilemma felt particularly on the heavy side. A throughly exhausting read as a result; however, I really enjoyed how the writing constantly paralleled Francisco Goya and the raw emotions associated in tandem. I thought it was on the unique side with how those things were pulled off, especially towards the good end's finale. The bad end was also memorable which perfectly gave that frustrating sense of “helplessness” from both the LI and the protagonist herself. As I understand it, it's not for everyone since I did read commentary where others strongly disliked how depressing the route was but as someone who's very much into 鬱 in the medium, Haru in general, especially his Rose route, did fulfill that itch and executed it rather nicely within non-R18 boundaries for me so far. It's not Gayoushi's level of suffering or anything in otome but it's enough to give that "sense of suffocation" where the good ending in particular was appropriately cathartic. At any rate, I don't think Zettai is a bad read overall so far if you end up liking any of the love interests and their tropes. They're mostly pretty good besides maybe Ichiha who I felt was intentionally made to be horrible IMO. While the game can be tiring and repetitive to read, I'm still very adament on leaving Riku for last since that dumb クソガキ stole my heart on my first blind playthrough and I'm a perfectionist about reading everything before getting to the best. I'd read his 石ころ route just to roll around in the trash with him again before reading the true route.>>48062147>I'll always recommend playing Paradise Musubi Yeah, it's best to read the Musubi FD afterwards once you finish the main game at the very least. The games do feel rather incomplete otherwise. I'd ought to read Kiwame at some point.
Can't wait for Ooe, too bad I have to work
>>48062003>I doubt I'm going to be playing it on releaseSame I was going to play it asap until it was revealed that only "part 1" was coming out. I want to know whether part 1 ends with some cliffhanger before diving in.
i cant believe ooe is reali feel like i just played ultra c with you sisters yesterday
Finished the second route is 東京殺人鬼 学校の怪談.Honestly I kinda gave up on the romance aspect of the game. Even the second route's one was fucking boring for me. I think a lot of it may have to do with the MC, it feels like a robot trying to become human who imprints on people rather than genuine love.Which I assume it's a plot point, the whole plot is not clear to me yet but it seems like they are running some kind of simulation? And the MC is some kind of construct made 3 months ago? I assume Mikiko may be some kind of top godKinda wild this came out out the same day as Arcadia because they feel at the opposite, product wise.
>>48066274The next route is pretty different, you might find the relationship there more interesting.
>>48061583No, you can't load the old saves but can use the file that saves your read text and settings. Seems like some parts got changed (?) since they're treated as unread when skipping. Also seems like part 2 will be free to everyone who bought the first one.
https://adelta.booth.pm/items/6187545Ooe is out
>>48066847>Also seems like part 2 will be free to everyone who bought the first one.Extremely based if true, 4k yennies is very little for such a huge polished game
>>48062746>I really enjoyed how the writing constantly paralleled Francisco GoyaOh yes, I knew it was gonna be good when Haru said his favorite painting was Saturn Devouring His Own Son. I'm one of the resident cannibalfags so I immediately perked up. I knew not to expect gore because this game is basically PG-rated but the writer managed to deliver darkness despite that.Incidentally I seem to remember Haru was written by one of the Mashou Megane writers? I wonder if it was the same as Cidre, that one also got a Very Meaningful painting (the Judgement of Paris)Meanwhile it wasn't explicitly referenced but I'm pretty sure Riku's bara route has at least one scene inspired by The Roses of Elagabalus, it was so perfectly fitting too.>It's not Gayoushi's level of suffering or anythingHonestly the biggest thing holding this game back was that the stakes are firmly highschool level (the big conspiracy aside.) There's only so much I can get invested in petty nonsense like cafeteria seating and prom queen drama, even when it's played up to grotesque levels. It's probably way more relatable for the intended audience though, so that's on me for being an old fart.>IchihaYou rarely see such complete jerk LIs outside of the dedicated games for M neko-chans, a pleasant surprise. I actually wondered if he was totally irredeemable at times.>Riku for lastI totally understand, I loved him too. Insecure tsundere dork who quickly turns out to be all dere and all insecure, he has that high maintenance big dog energy too. Despite that he actually managed to dazzle me with his chivalry in his ishikoro route. 8/10.That said, I seem to remember Rei's true route needs to be played last? Something about unlocks.
>>48067717>Mashou meganeI miss my necro husband. I should replay his game. The heart pussy and necro moans so memorable. I'm still bitter than the prince got no route. Fuck me. Btw anons, have you played picre Pilvamp game?
I want a LI that was raped by his mom, sister whatever when young.
>>48067717>Incidentally I seem to remember Haru was written by one of the Mashou Megane writers? As far as I can tell Haru's routes were all written by Mashou Megane's writer, yeah. Incidentally, Yonesuke was the only edgy R18 writer on staff so it felt fitting with how the content in regards to Haru was more dark. Though honestly, it was still refreshing how the 薔薇 writing in Haru's did not rely on anything too shocking but rather preferred to portray a more genuine, sober attempt on symbolism and the consequences with bullying/conformism. The abandoned cat Haru and the protagonist played with and its role in the story was probably the saddest part to me. Much like Haru, the cat was neglected and looked down upon by the school's students. As per usual, they were blinded by their pretensions where they couldn't careless that the cat was even suffering - it eventually died from its injuries. The writing in that part was striking to me once Neri found the cat's corpse and dug its grave with her bare hands by herself. It was a nail to the coffin to show that her relationship with Haru had no future as the cat "Haru" died along with its painting.>It's probably way more relatable for the intended audience though, so that's on me for being an old fart.Yeah, I'm also out of school for years myself so it becomes somewhat more difficult to relate to as time goes by. I think the school environment is a big reason why 絶対階級学園 feels so restrictive and repetitive with its themes for sure. There is only so much you can do and have the game non-R18 at the same time. For that reason, I felt Zettai would have probably benefited as a R18 title with more writers like Mashou Megane's writer and/or writers with significant experience in portraying bullying as a theme. Guess I got too spoiled by reading some of Gayoushi's works. Her fixation with bullying in some of the worst ways possible rubbed off on me to the point where I'm just subconsciously comparing everything and expecting something similar to scratch that itch again. Though, I still genuinely wish Zettai was a bit more explict and varied with its bullying for that reason instead of going off on the usual drama about "oh wow, you're a stoner? lmao0o go clean the toilets, you pleb", "damn those stoners sure are losers compared to us roseCHADs...", etc. Popularity contests do get old. Dumb jokes asides, I haven't read everything yet of course so maybe something else will pleasantly surprise me like Haru's whole thing.>IchihaHe's so anti-(You) it's no wonder he's not very popular and his merchandise is so cheap on online retailers lol. It's kind of interesting how his 石ころ route felt less of a "self insert" story but more like empathizing as a bystander instead. I have pretty high tolerance but the protagonist's stupidity is really frustrating in that route IMO>RikuI have a thing for arrogant tsunderes but are actually cluelessly dumb so Riku just ticked all my boxes as soon as I saw how much of a unkempt slacker he was. I headcanon him as a closet pervert (which is ironic in how his bad endings were pull off in the Pebble route) He can't have that many used napkins suspiciously lying around, especially after the protagonist literally cleaned his room the day before. Also vaguely looks like Azuma from Paradise in some of the official art so I can't help but feel like he's made for abuse as well. I wonder if that's because Kotomi Youji was one of the sub artists for Zettai. But yes, Riku's Pebble route gave me such a huge impression when I first started the game - it was really sweet and heartwarming. That confession of his still remains my favorite until now. I get a good laugh at everytime he says or does something totally rude but Riku's dere side is also a 10/10 for me. Stupid noisy dog who can't clean after himself but is still made for cuddles when he's at his lowest.Yeah, I think Rei's true route is unlockable after clearing Touya' true route at least, no? That's confirmed in the 攻略 I looked up anyway.https://half-a.net/games1/zettaikaikyu.html--真相ルート--※他キャラ真相ルートを一人クリアでプレイ可能(十矢クリアで確認しています)My friend mentioned they cleared Riku last but might have been misremembering. I'll just see how it goes if not.
I recently found out that some lines in Taisho Alice had actually been made "milder" for the console ports.ZKG, Hana Awase, Taisho Alice, what other games got this treatment asides from full on R18 games?
>>48068770This always happens in console versions, yes. Same with BWS and the other games that you mentioned. Not sure about Ken ga Kimi. The rest did change cg and lines.
>>48068770Are console people really okay with supporting censorship and limiting creative freedom like this? The medium is so doomed.
>>48069693New console otome are ok now. Matsurika is full porn and judging by some gore details virche had they're fine now. To this day, I don't know though how the fuck moshikami got that vita port.
>>48068762I was pretty surprised when the cat died, given the relatively light and fluffy tone of the game. But I was like fine, it's more meaningful and realistic like that. Then he fucking ruined his painting of it. That one was a real punch in the gut. You're entirely right about the symbolism, yeah. Quite a good route.>school settinghonestly I can't believe that excuse after reading Shingakkou, also set in a stifling boarding school. They managed to do so much more with it. Granted the R18G label helped creativity let's say, but that one had actual stakes.>IchihaI actually played Ichiha right after Riku so I kept unfavorably comparing his reactions to Riku's in similar situations. I didn't hate his route or anything, it was outrageous and there were at least TWO yandere murder-suicide ends and I get where he was coming from, it's realistic even, but I was amused at the game trying to pretend this truescum cowardly asshole is a romantic love interest. Like they gave you so little reason to stick with him, I kept thinking "yeah well Riku would have chosen ME over his reputation..." Ichiha's whole route only makes sense because irrational love at first sight.>made for abuseI initially thought Haru was the designated bully victim and I guess he was, but actually he's actually quite intense and has a backbone/rebellious spirit. Despite his social standing being in the dirt he's totally the strugglefuck kukkoro type who'll be pridefully glaring at you. And then I saw Riku's "nightmare" recollection that he was actually some "dumpster-diving slum urchin who would do anything for food" and he immediately took the top spot. Thankfully the game was much kinder to him than my imagination.Somehow I didn't make the connection to Azuma but yes, I totally see it now.Elite types "secretly" being slobs with disordered rooms is such a common trope otome trope but I love it.I can't see Riku being a pervert though, I think he barely even knows what sex is. Like come on, he invited to his room to play games all night and read him bedtime stories. He's so sweet and immature.
>>48069830What do you mean do they show sex scenes in matsurika or just fade to black?
Do you participate in any kind of /blog/-related discord or social media based fandom, /blog/?
>>48070682this thread
>>48070682Retard
>>48072217Why? I'm not shilling no discord, just curious about statistics.
>>48070682fuck off
I'm about to start Taisho Alice, hope its good
>>48070682I use and most here do, ignore the bitter roasties. What happens usually is join big ones, and then move to sekrid private ones with the people you vibe in and have similar tastes. Most are chill, but of course there are insufferable people in every fandom. Just avoid the moral faggotry ones, (no piracy- no emulators) or (why is mc 17 and LI 19) retardation and you'll be fine and find your people.>>48072879Please do it in Japanese if you love yourself, the eng tl is horrendous.
>>48073041I don't want to have to deal with the retards to find the normal people.
>>48073155You don't have to interact with them just block them lol. Join and leave if you don't like anyone, that easy. I find it fun, making friends all around the world and sometimes meeting irl too. And discussing thing you love and are passionate about without getting eyerolls. Most women my age and in my country would eyeroll if I showed them and told them how much I payed for my otome merch lol. Not to mention saying how hot X LI is. It'd be more acceptable to say I'm attracted to a dog, at least here.So yeah, in these places I can freely talk about these things without getting judged and fangirl about my merchfagging hobby.
Merchfags always want to be coddled for buying hundreds of useless plastic
>>48070682None. I have a few people I talk to every now and then about VNs on Discord which includes obscure untranslated BL/otome sometimes. Those were found from completely unrelated communities where I (unfortunately) wasted time on for a few years. Well, I guess it's not bad for what it is but the bullshit with dealing with some things non-anonymously is a massive pain in the ass. Menheras are only cute 2D.>>48073155I get this and think it's not wrong to think this way. It's not worth the effort when this place is still better for strictly on-topic discussions.
>>48073511Yes and? I'm joining these places for that reason. Same with gacha whales. I don't get them since merch and regual visual novels can't get EoS'ed but it makes them as happy as my merch does, so why not.
>>48070682Every discrod seems to be filled with virtue-signalling underage they/them faggots, so no
>>48070682No, because I've checked out a lot and they all suck. I love you, /blog/.
>>48069955I have yet to read Shingakkou or any other school related VN that struck me in such a way to make a fair comparison here, but I'll take your word. I suppose it goes back to the original point that in spite of having somewhat more explict content, ZKG is still a relatively "safe" work made within industry standards to cater to the audience in mind 仕方ない Not to be whatever and all about potential neverevers but it makes me wonder how the FD will turn out to supplement the existing writing if that ever comes out.>IchihaI always felt Ichiha's 石ころ route was completely intentional as a way to strike a stark contrast between him and the likes of Touya or Riku (especially the former who Ichiha constantly shittalks about. It just shows how much he is the complete opposite of Touya). In general, the route was there to sympathize with the "average joe or middleman" who wished to maintain the status quo in such an environment. Unlike Riku, Ichiha was a normal ミツバチ student and did not hold a position of power; therefore he was guided with more practical concerns to save face and avoid any complications with dealing those in the Pebble class. He was also not an emotional wreck who immediately fell head over heels to the protagonist on first sight. For that reason, it never seemed to me he was genuinely attracted to Neri until the end of the route when he finally acknowledges her feelings and efforts of course In reality, he just didn't had real reason to because besides being under the Queen's good favor, Neri wasn't particularly an outstanding student who he could attach himself to as a way to build more of his reputation as a Honeybee student but merely more of a chess piece to his philandering. Of course she loses that "position" as soon as she gets kicked out off as a Pebble. Though despite him being astutely aware of the consequences of associating with those in the Pebble caste and his need to maintain his reputation, he still wanted to have his cake and eat it too by fooling around with other women. This still puzzles though. I'm probably missing something I guess but it baffles me how this guy didn't get thrown down to Pebble for sleeping around since middle school. Surely the girls he mistreated and dumped would have spread bad rumors about him to pit people against him, right? How is slutting out even tolerated and totally not something that doesn't besmirch the school's reputation/be a bad influence on others? It's just bizarre how there are no real repercussions until the end of the route where he finally decides to apologize to these girls and then gets his assed kicked by them. So yeah, I guess it's still fairly realistic as you mentioned. He might be the closest to how someone in real life would act in such circumstances so I can't 100% fault him. Ichiha is very "un-moe">HaruI had similar first impressions of Haru as you did. As someone who has a hard time appreciating kuuderes and those who passively take bullying, Haru came out to be a pleasant surprise where he didn't exactly fit into that trope either. Despite how crushing his Rose route was on him, he had some pretty great lines I found to be very memorable. That one bad end scene where the protagonist pushed him to compete with other 世話係 in a painting contest had really showcased his rebellious side. While Haru was forced to concede at the end, I couldn't help but cheer him on for biting back against everyone. Neri insisted she was backstabbed by him, but in reality, she too backstabbed him by subjecting his pride as an artist to be devalued as entertainment. It was really just tit for tat here.それとも、石ころには見えない絵が描いてあるわけ?『裸の王様』みたいにさQuite the cheeky line to say to Rei of all people after bringing nothing but a blank canvas to the tea party. But yeah, Haru's very much like a capricious kitten so him being symbolized as one was just perfect to me. His 毒舌 is some good stuff. Pretty different and far more relatable from what I've seen so far as a LI so I totally get why he ended up top on the popularity list even though I still prefer Riku.>RikuI got thrown off when Riku made a point that he was a man when the protagonist tried to stay with him earlier in his Pebble route - found it to be kinda suggestive even if overused. It's been a while so not it's 100% fresh in my mind. Also had the misfortune of reading some bad 鬱 nukige not too long. It had some ultra キモイ scheming guy who kind of looked like Riku so I'm just dumb. My doubt and perverse mind is always in the gutter from all the depraved shit I know about, go figure. Though, I still love Riku regardless of any screwed perceptions I have of him. Most pure hearted manchild who I want to mess with. Would most likely play video games and shitpost all day if the school allowed students to have PCs.
Does ooe have fixed routes or can I just pick one out of the three available?
>>48074539Seems to be fixed because there's a correct answer to all the choices so far.
>>48074007Yeah, as I said I feel Ichiha's route was quite realistic and understandable but... yeah.>very "un-moe"exactly this. These types of games are supposed to give you prince charmings or at least guys that make you go dokidoki and he was so brutally anything but that, very surprising for an LI.I'm surprised too that he didn't get dropped, I think he was just really good at manipulating the girls to go nuts so they look like THEY are the menhera ones responsible for everything, but you'd think everyone would have wisened up after like, the 50th time that happened. I mean Moeka was on to him already.>HaruNeri was such a clueless bitch in the bara route. He would have preferred literally getting fucked in public over being turned into an artpet for rose bullies' amusements but she was totally oblivious to how she was trampling on the one thing he cared about. Well all the bara routes have that bimbofication corruption vibe so she was too far gone I guess. That was one of the lines I immediately screenshoted too, lmao. Him and Ichiha had the best mean-spirited jabs.>Riku made a point that he was a manlmao no, I immediately had him pegged as harmless after that. In porn this would have been a sokuochi flag. "oooh watch out, if we're alone together I might make a move on you!" and then immediately cut to him getting amazon-pressed into a sobbing mess
>>48075869At the very least, I only wish we got to see Ichiha get beaten up personally for that ざまみろ feel, those endings weren't enough for me. fight scenes 2violent but my inner chuunitard wants it.>Him and Ichiha had the best mean-spirited jabsI got a good laugh at them trashtalking Touya. ダサい gotta be one of the most hilarious words to me.
>>48076021Eh, there was that point when he literally went around apologizing to every one of his exes and getting beaten up but I guess it happened offscreen, that did satisfy me.Thinking back on it, Haru being in the resistance was probably a sign of his rebel's heart. Yeah I know he said he only wanted to paint in peace and chides Touya constantly but that's just him being tsundere I think, that's way lighter than his actual venom too.
>>48069693It sucks but it's obvious the changes are to avoid increasing the age rating for just a few random (chara breaking) lines.>>48069009What was changed for BWS? I couldn't find anything about it being changed.>>48070138From what I've seen, most recent otomate stuff rated D for sexual content have sex scenes written in roundabout ways, but never too explicit. So it's more like 'his fingers explored my deepest kimochii place' with CGs that could be considered slightly suggestive.
>>48076123Some cg censorship and Nesso turned non blood related brother instead of blood related.
>>48076064>Eh, there was that point when he literally went around apologizing to every one of his exes and getting beaten up but I guess it happened offscreen, that did satisfy me.Yeah, I get that. It's more or less pented up feelings and frustration from my part even though I try to set my expectations for this game realistically. I'm just too pampered by other genres I guess so I can't help sometimes but feel "Wait? That's it?". It's perhaps expected for those scenes to be offscreen in otome but eh, I'm one of those lizard brain autists who gets too excited from more involved action scenes and seeing things end with a bang by having justice served. From what I've seen, a lot of otome has the tendency to not be as descriptive in some ways which only leaves me wanting more.IMO Touya would have been way more interesting to me if they simply shown more in that respect where you are actually witnessing him fighting against those higher up in the caste. I'd say he's a bit too perfect of a character where he isn't showing more of that manly heroism at a more concrete, descriptive level enough to be "cool enough". All too often his resistance feats happen off screen.
>>48066586Am I crazy or some lines doesn't show in the backlog for some reason? Is it some narrative trick or a bug?
>>48076431If it's the scene I'm thinking of (people dying) then I think it was intentional.
I'm interested in reading Zettai Kaikyuu Gakuen, however I'm torn between choosing the original uncensored PC version and the censored Switch version, which has a higher graphic resolution and more CGs. Are there more than one censored scenes?
>>48077657I don't know about the censored Switch version or what was been censored but I'm just reading the PC version since I figured I can easily skip everything in the censored Switch version for the exclusive content later on. If it's just CGs/special scenes, those are easier to recognize and read through while random removed text is not.At any rate, you can use Magpie to upscale the PC version which more or less looks OK if your PC can handle it. That's what I'm doing.
>>48068453Laito
>>48076977Yeah, the girl committed suicide. Though it also happens in Tenodu's route when he almost attacked the girl fro "stealing" Tendou
>>48077657I remember when I was choosing what to go with, I went with the switch version because it was way easier to find/torrent and I had been assured there's essentially no difference.
>no ooe leak yet>uuuc leaked the same day it released>everyone i asked seems to be waiting for the localization or part 2 so not interested I should have kms
Sex with majima
>>48081036The release format is weird. Why didn't they finish the whole game first before putting it on sale? What's with this part 1 and 2 nonsense, it's a suspenseful vn of course people don't want to read part 1 and get cucked by a half-assed ending.
>>48081399It obviously got too big lol
>>48077708>>48080572I decided to go with the switch ver because the pc ver requires the installation disc to be mounted while playing.
>>48081399She clearly was too ambitious with the release date and didn't want to release a subpar product but didn't want to delay it again either. It's a huge game.
>>48081036I'm going to wait too because I'm a eop and it's difficult hooking kurosawas games, but it'd be nice, if anons can share the sex cg.
>>48081333No
>>48081333Yes, but he has to acknowledge that I'm a cheater now.
>>48081333sex with shiba while majima seethes

Arcana famiglia getting port, probably.
Is pilslash yet? Should have announced a new game by now. Never released DnO cds too.
>>48081399Maybe I'm a slow reader, but I've been playing part 1 since release and it feels like I'm still stuck in the prologue.
>>48083904What part are you at? It's really long even if you're a fast reader.
>>48083939A bit past the part where they found the boat. I didn't play the demo so I had to start from the very beginning.
>>48081333Yes
>>48083973I think that's about halfway through the first route. I'm not sure what could be considered the prologue because it feels like there are a lot of unanswered questions even after finishing that route, though I found it very satisfying. And now reading the second route is giving me a lot of questions about the third LI, so I wonder how much of the full picture we're getting in part 1, considering there'll be 6-7 more routes in part 2.
>>48083443endless sex with all my other husbands while majima jerks off about it and seethes
>>48083681They had to do crowdfunding for DnO so I'm guessing that they are pretty much broke.
One thing I like about Otomate is that when they ported old games to switch they tended to package main game & fandisc together, it is very neat for collectors. If a game had no fandisc then they'd add some something extra, its not just lazy 1:1 port like other companies. There are many cases where companies only bothered to port to main game to the latest console while leaving the fandisc & sequel to rot on psp, it's sickening.
>>48083608nice, both switch and steam ports
This game was released 13 years ago. Happy anniversary!
>Ooe's official name for localization is OwenJust why?
>>48089580I guess in case people missed the very obvious and then there were none inspiration. Wish they kept it the same though
>>48089580There was a localization announcement?
>>48090086Dunno but Kurosawa mentioned wanting to do an English and Chinese version after the full game is released.
>>48090429Hope it's not mtl.
>>48090635ADELTA's previous 2 games were done by Mangagamer, they will probably get this new game too so it will have decent translation fortunately. BL is lucky to get localized by veterans like MG and Jast, they don't do ML like the otoge companies.
>>48091055>Jasteyepussy intensifies
>>48091072Still more soulful than MTL
Where do Japanese even post fics? Pixiv? It seems kinda empty
>>48092094Yes pixiv but otomege/BL VNs usually don't get much.
>>48092094Pixiv, sometimes twitter in the form of pictures. But you'll quickly learn that Japanese teen girls are just as bad at it as western fic writers. The best ones are usually printed doujins, though those can be just as dogshit if you pick the wrong writer.
>>48092094A few years ago they used picbland a lot too but no idea what it's like now.

Speaking of schizokino what to make of all the mentions of incest on the island and everyone from the island and their descendants looking the same...
>>48093457Thanks anonAre endings happy or tragic?
>>48095571One メリバ kind of ending but the rest are pretty happy, though people die in every route
Does oosaki rape anyone or is he vanilla?
>>48097237He's not vanilla at all, he's just acting how he does because of guilt about his past and origin. So yes he does.

Does Ooe have incest or threesomes?
>>48098664The latter, he couldn't trust him for plot reasons so he wanted "payment" in exchange for letting him go>>48098756Incest plays a big role but don't know if anyone is related yet
>>48099260Thank you for your replies anon, this game is really made for me then.
Is anyone else having trouble running Ooe? I keep getting a blank screen that closes right after popping up every time I try opening the application. My locale has been set to Japanese for years and I tried running it as admin. I don't know what else to do but for now I'm blaming Windows 11.
>>48099608have you tried running compatibility?
>>48099608Don't install on C or program files. Install it on desktop. If this doesn't solve it maybe compatibility issue. I also have my pc on jp locale for years but I don't think that it's locale emulators problem. Win 11 suck ass.
>>48099608I did but it provided no results. Unfortunately I had the same issue with the demo.
>>48099797 (Me)Accidentally replied to myself. That was meant for >>48099693>>48099795I'll give that a try. Thank you.

>Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 4 - 90% translatedI won't read it but it's nice to see that there is still some life in the fan-translation scene.
Anyone else who has played the whole of part 1, what’s your theories for what’s going on?I feel like Hinode is likely to be a significant character since he’s so mysterious and is likely to be the 4th main LI alongside the 3 from the first part. Though it feels pretty implausible for a random 13 year old to have set all this up, even if he’s faking his disabilities. Toyosu is also very suspicious but it’s too obvious that he’d be the mastermind himself.
How do I find a fujo gf?
JAST has Masquerade up for pre-order now, guess it's coming out soon. I wonder if they will license another Pil/Slash game after this.
>>48101882Hinode being wrath makes him seem very important. Wasn't he mentioned to be one of the main LIs before? Also, if the invite was really for his mother, why did she let him go presumably knowing about the crime accusations? And why was she the only woman invited? There are other mentions of a sole woman on an island with only men around so whatever's going on seems connected to the lore.Toyosu always taking care of Hinode seemed genuine so unless they were in on it together it seems weird that he'd be the mastermind and do that. Maybe he and Hinode's mom have something to do with it.What do you think of the letters in the extras? They seem to be from Ooe An so I wonder how that ties into things. They might be for Daiba or Shijoumae? Who else is married? They both seem sketchy to me.
>>48103239Didn’t Toyosu have Hinode’s invitation? We haven’t actually seen it so it’s possible he was lying about the contents. The two of them working together is entirely possible IMO, though in that case I feel it’s more likely that Toyosu is helping Hinode out, than the other way around. With the letters, I think they’re most likely addressed to Daiba, she called the recipient お義兄さま, which makes him seem like a youngish man to me. My guess is that it’s meant in the sense of a brother in law rather than a stepbrother, and the recipient’s wife is the same person as the sister mentioned. I don’t have the game to hand right now so maybe there’s something contradicting this I missed. There’s an older assistant lady mentioned in the letters who is probably Hinode’s mother. In a story like this it’s cheating to have the mastermind be on the outside but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was involved somehow, since there is at least one woman involved in the plan, the woman that Funeno spoke to on the phone.
>Drama CD series where guys pretend to be your mommyI'm sure this is someone's fetish
>>48102987I still can't believe they're translating Masquerade in the current year, that's incredibly risky.
>>48100134Renaming the .exe to "ooe" (English characters) worked! Thank you anon, I don't know why I didn't think of checking the support page.
>>48103685I like reverse reverse traps but this is too faggy and feminine.
>>48103805Their fans will buy it.
>>48103805It sounds like deranged enough gay shit for its target audience though.
>>48103805The medium is niche so moralfags won't even know about it. It's not like they plan to put the game on Steam.I feel like I have seen nukige with worse kink from them but then that targets a different audience.

not otome but anysis playing dead days
Let me know how DAV is
Halloween costume for the cutie?
>>48103684Yeah, he did say he had his invitation and I'm curious about all the ones we haven't seen so far because we've seen that every LI so far did lie about something about themselves. And Toyosu is either not even a monk or trying to hide his actual affiliation. Since his sin is regret (though another definition I found online is hiding your past wrongdoings) maybe he's being blackmailed/pressured into helping in an attempt to make up for something he did in the past.I agree with your interpretation of the letters, they're most likely for Daiba and considering how he was lying about his invitation being for his father and never mentioned the accusation letter, I think he knows a lot more than he's letting on. The person who set this all up also has a lot of money so that fits him or maybe his father.Good point about the phone call, it seems more likely that it'd be her than some random woman or someone not mentioned yet. And speaking of women in the story, I wonder how the history of prostitution on the island plays into everything since it feels very ominous.I can't quite tell whether it's likely there's an actual 11th person physically on the island with them, but there originally being 11 people invited seems to open up that possibility.>>48112768Hard to say much without spoilers but I enjoyed it a lot
Ooe 2nd route spoilers. Am I retarded or are they implying Shimbashi is the product of heteropaternal superfecundation, hence his parents sending him away to his grandma. Maybe I'm reading to much into this cat pregnancy thing.
>>48118556With the invitations we haven't seen, I realized we never saw Aomi's so I kind of wonder if Aomi was completely wrong about it's contents. Every other accusation we've heard about involved the killing of a family member, and a deliberate killing rather than something unintentional. When Aomi talks about the accusation in another route I think Oosaki even remarks on it seeming mild compared to the other accusations. So I wonder if Aomi's father actually killed his wife/Aomi's stepmother and that's what the accusation was really for.About the letters, I was looking through Kurosawa's tumblr and she had referred to Daiba as someone who seemed like the mastermind but wasn't, so I don't think it's him. But yeah he for sure knows something. I've done some more investigating and I'm not sure the letters are written to Daiba after all, I was reading through the prerelease info booklet and in there's a preview where Daiba talks about his brother's death 2 years ago and he mentions being there with his fiancée, so he can't have been married in 1952. But the reference to a fiancée is cut in the game text, which phrases the conversation differently, and it's also originally said that the 'accident' happened in summer, when it's stated to have been fall in the final game so the story probably wasn't solid by then. If it isn't Daiba I think it's Daiba's brother, he'd have been alive and married at the time period the letters were being sent, and the references to the boat and vacation home imply it's a member of the Daiba family. My theory about the prostitutes and women stuff is that the island had a shallow gene pool and because of this men were born sickly, maybe infertile. It's pretty clear that the red eyes signify Ooe island ancestry and a lot of the characters have health conditions of some sort, and none of them have children aside from Daiba's brother and father who could be rare exceptions (were there any other characters who's Ooe island blood came from the male side? I can't remember). The brothels could have allowed for some more genetic variation, maybe even by force given the thing about locking up misbehaving customers in the dungeons. When I was looking through the prerelease info book again I realized Funeno himself is suspicious. His 'game theory' entry reads that he 'doesn't follow his own will but rather obeys [REDACTED]' which implies he might have known more than he admitted to. He also seems to be the last unlockable route before the final secret one given how the characters tend to be ordered.>>48118615They're just fraternal twins and the parents were superstitious, is how I took it.
i hate gay men desu senpai
>>48112768It was very incest. Honestly once you get through the main part, I feel like the routes themselves are not that long and they're all structured very similarly. Characters die, you make 1-2 deductions, more people die, you leave the island and learn the truth behind x character's sin. Some of it feels a little undercooked because majority of the route is setup to more murders and whoddunit, while most of the character related stuff is backloaded in like the last 1/4th of the route. I enjoyed it, but so far I think both uruc and hashihime are better. Second part could bump it up though.Oh and some of the sound effects are very bad. Every time someone beat the shit out of someone else the noise kept taking me out of it.
Is VNR still used for reading games in japanese?
>>48122409Everyone does
>>48125992Maybe for the online translations? Spanish, French and Russian had a few vns translated there. English had a few too, if not complete most routes. I used it for psp games but lunahooks and textractor are better and easier to use.
It's out.
>>48125992It's ultra jank obsolete shit and still is. Most reliable is Textractor but you can hook more with Luna.
>>48126194Oh the word guessing game, I remember playing this.
>>48125992That ugly bloated thing has been dead for years. I never got why some people even used that mess of a program, even back when i was learning it was recommended to use ITH and TA.
>>48126194Hmm, it's way cheaper on dlsite for me but I don't like playdrm... Maybe I'll wait for someone to upload it instead kek
>>48066586You were right anon. It really felt different from the other routes, it term of relationship I haven't see many things like this. It's definitely different from a classic romance. Though I wasn't a fan of the "looping" part in the middle where the plot progression is halted. Also this route was confusing as hell. I feel like the more they reveal the more confusing things get. I don't know if that's also on my JP being weak The convo for Amateratsu for example was weird as hell to read.
>>48126194It's pretty intresting. I feel like a retard playing it though
Ariake route spoilers.Maybe I'm just a sentimental bitch but I don't know how the next routes will beat this moment for me. Who knows, perhaps something else may change my mind later as I haven't finished Ariake's route yet, but so far I've loved every second of it. I love Oosaki's vulnerability and Ariake's compassion (and obsession) with him. It's genuinely amazing. Additionally, the way Oosaki's voice trembles and sounds so dejected at times is driving me crazy. 10/10 voice direction.
>>48133983I finished his route. Can it be considered meriba? Honestly, there was so much information and twists toward the end that my brain is kind of fried.
So Paradise eng flopped, right? Any idea why?
>>48134963I'm assuming it may have been the art style? Not really sure though, I don't spend enough time on social media to see what the reception was over there.
>>48134963I love the characters especially Azuma however it's a 7/10 game at best. The production value was lacking and the last route was meh.I feel like it did okay though, no better or worse than the average BL localization.N+C's games and Hashihime are outliners of the genre, I've seen even some het dudes read those because they have interesting concepts.
>>48134963Didnt they only do the first game? The second two are where it gets fun
>>48137359Fandiscs are not guaranteed since they will always sell worse than the main game.Dramatical Murder is hella successful yet JAST is taking forever with the fandisc.
>>48126194I've been playing this and it's really fun.
Which switch emulatori is the most reliable for the latest otome games releases??
>>48143847You can use the last versions of Yuzu and Ryujinx, they should work with all released otome games on switch.Unfortunately nitendo already killed both emu, in future the new games might not work.
>>48144874With luck there won't be any issue emulating the olympia soiree FD because I want it but otomate doesn't deserve more of my money.
100% finished Homicipher. Honestly, I did not expect to like it that much. The dev did an excellent job. It was very fun. It seems that a lot of people like it too and it has many positive reviews so far. I really wish that it had more romance in lol.Mr. Crawling my fav, so adorable and I'm glad that he got to have most endings. With this success I hope that the dev releases a few more romance endings as dlc. It was really fun. I now really want a ghost monster husbando love simulation otome.
Rape.
Finished homicipher too. The same dev made another joseimuke work, magical deathpair. Anyone here played it?
>>48146819>It seems that a lot of people like it too and it has many positive reviews so far.Well graphic-wise it looks like a horror game instead of an otome so that's why casuals think it's okay to play it.
The Ichiya normal end in Variable Barricade has to be peak otome writing. It's still of of the rare modern Otomate titles that I actually like.
>>48147001Thought he was kinda annoying in Ariake's route, but now I think he's great. Same with Ariake. Good in his own route, annoying in Shinbashi's. Aomi was good in all, though I don't think I like him better than the other two. Funny how that works.
gamedev and artfag heregive me ideas for an otome/BL game (yes, it's going to be both)
東京殺人鬼 学校の怪談.Was Inami banging Kuratori every night in the other routes too while he was romancing the other guys?
>>48150616What do you have?
>>48152351You never see Kuratori at home once during the other routes (aside from the extremely suspicious empty apartment that Inami hands him the keys to in Tsubaki's route), so I think that's the implication.
>>48152745Yeah I actually got suspicious when they didn't show his house (usually VN love to show the main character's room) and of course the scene in Tsubaki's route. I didn't connect Inami being there until his route. My first theory was that the house didn't exist and he was "making it" on the spot lol I'm still not sure how everything connects, hopefully there is a good pay off. I can't quite connect the Main character's past as a school teacher with the Amaterasu plot line and his Aramatsuri's powers.
I started even if tempest today and the music in this game is surprisingly really fucking good, almost every track has stood out to me so far. Also Rune is cuter than all of the LIs
Which type of ukes do you prefer? The 2010s or 2020s more? The 2020 ones seem to be sluttier.
Why did celtia/morpath disband in the end? It happened last year didn't it?
>>48153640Uesugi stopped because she was too mentally ill and couldn't take it.
>>48153775Yes, but besides that, didn't she give another reason too? Was it a coworker or a rando troll that dm her something and she took it too personally?
>>48153802Yeah a singular(1) troll DM from someone accusing her of only being out for money.
>>48146819I really liked it too. It had a surprisingly interesting backstory for the mc. After knowing, it gave me a different understanding of one of the earlier endings where mc takes crawly to the real world and feeds him questionable red stuff. It's probably my fav ending either way.I liked hood the most though, the idea of being small and carried around everywhere is nice. Also great that even though he doesn't really care about love, he'll still carry mc around after finding her injured (and the mc intentionally staying injured for that kek).sex dlc when
>>48154005About the mc, something that I didn't understand. Was she a serial killer before, or she became one afterwards? Because in that mr crawl ending, where she takes him home with her and feeds him questionable stuff, she was very human. Also the endings with Scarl, it seems like he's looking for her and she says in the one ending that, did he think that I did all that for him lol? So my guesses are >she was violent and transported to that world thanks to Scarl >she transported to that world and after staying there she slowly became a monster herself
>>48153502I like them slutty and promiscuous. We need more NTR in BL honestly.
>>48154348From how I understood it she had always been a serial killer and one day she kills in the ruins scarl is haunting. Which makes scarl think the bloody bodies were an offering to him hence his obsession with her. He then lures her into that other world, but due to being in that world for too long she further becomes something more like an urban legend monster thing by the end of it (like the picrel title screen change after the scarlet rain end). But this doesn't really explain how she can use her powers when you jump back to the very first scene after clearing the game though. Unless that was intended to be a meta time fuckery thing and the title screen change is actually the real start of the game, etc.
>>48154348>>48155025 (Me)>one day she kills in the ruins scarl is hauntingWait I got this part wrong. It's actually that she's always been dumping the bodies in scarl's domain, and only kills on rainy days since that's the only time she can access the place. The people she mostly kills might be the ones who show up there to kimodameshi even. Very interesting that the more questionable hints were being dropped earlier than I remember too.
>>48150616bad end gay ntr (the one being cucked is a woman)
>>48158434I’m a homo with AIDS by the way, forgot to mention that part
>>48155025>>48155917I've been replaying it, trying to notice something that I might have missed, but came to the same conclusion as well. The only thing that bothers me is, that the mc is wearing her normal clothes at first, but when she looks in the mirror at ch2, before she changes to the dress, is that she still sees herself in the raincoat. So maybe she's stuck in a loop or respawns? Or that mirror shows "her true form", which is a serial killer? Should be simpler the explanation, yet has me wondering.
>>48159254Adding since I just noticed in the room where someone has written help sos all over the wall, there's a small make up pouch. Maybe that's heroines since she's like, I lost my bag in some routes. So maybe she indeed might have ended up respawning and losing her memories every time.
Can someone give me an idea of how horror-esque Homicipher is? I can't handle horror but if it's not too bad I can give it a go.
>>48159484Yeah I was also thinking about how respawning would make a lot of sense since the possibility of it does get mentioned in some routes, and how crawly ends up being respawned and all. Every respawn/restructuring(?) adding up is likely what causes people there to turn into monster form too maybe.
>>48160073It's mostly predictable jumpscares that you get used to after a while. It helps that the art isn't super realistic either. Try the demo and it's the same kind of "scary" all the way through imo.
How is the porn in Ooe?

I'm still going to call it Mojibake.
東京殺人鬼 学校の怪談This is starting to become pretty unhinged. There are some plot stuff that still aren't clear to me, but I can't quite tell if it's because the game hasn't explained them or my Japanese is failing me or...?I wonder how popular it was in JP, I didn't see as many reactions as Arcadia I think? It feels very plot heavy to the point even bad endings are plot important and while the third relationship was more interesting than the first two, in general it feels more worth to play for the mystery and meta elements than anything.
>>48174145This shit is hilarious.
>>48175261Cucking?Did nakajo write the ntr pigeon blood route if not katagiri sisters.

>>48153161Finished it in 4 days (???), I surprisingly had a lot of fun! Loved every aspect of the game even with its small issues here and there. Also 圏界面のうねり is officially joining my playlist. The cover is a scam though, that monster creature never appears at all... unless I'm missing something obvious? Anyway I'm off to play Homicipher now before I move onto the FD

I want to read Ooe but how unsatisfying is it without the 2nd part? Are there many unresolved mysteries?
Mr. Crawling is soo fucking cute
>>48186549Right?! I'm obssesed with him. I usually like haraguro assholes, but now I want a LI with the same traits as him. Ghost or human doesn't matter! Please sisters I'm starved.
>>48186549He's so adorable. I really love him! I'm reading some of the devs comments about it. Like in the ending where heroine leaves without him, he just waits everyday on the elevator waiting for her to return one day :( The dev felt so bad after that ending, that made the blissful love ending. My favorite though was the one where they meet again, after thinking that she killed him. My heart broke when i thought that he was killed. And when she found him crying in the closet. My heart. I love the ending where he saves her from the creepy doll dude and gets up, so hot. He got a little possessive too. We need a dlc or part 2 I hope the dev does something overall.
>>48188700>when i thought that he was killedHe technically did die though, they just respawn
>>48101102It's picked up some steam in the last year and a half so I'm glad.
>>48160695I just 100% finished the whole game, so thank you so much! I didn't know there was a demo so I checked it out after you mentioned it. I loved everything about the game. Now to pray for a sequel or something because we probably won't find anything similar otherwise.
Cute retard
Some tinfoil about homicipher/mojibake.>The ghosts/monsters seem to be eating ghosts only, that's why mr stitch was asking if humans are tasty and wanted to eat heroine. In blissful love ending, we see heroine feeding Mr crawling something which explains what she says afterwards, that ghosts appear in this world. So she probably kills them to feed Mr crawling.>Mr chopped used to be human too, but Mr silver killed him when he turned into a monster and managed to saved his head. He does the same to heroine if she attacks him early too. >Mr silver might have been human too, due to his hair color. Heroines hair started to get white too. Same might be for Mr hairdresser, and that make up pouch might be his, in the help sos room. He probably forgot about it though and that's why he was looking for his scissors. Maybe the only thing he remembers is his occupation when he used to be human. Mr chopped's hair should have been white too though
>>48196962The residents eat flesh and blood, which likely includes humans based on the bad ends where MC gets eaten by various monsters. In ED4 I'm pretty sure MC is referring to killing humans and monsters considering she's the one cause people to disappear (since she kills them) If it was only monsters it would be strange for them to know of herI'm assuming the transformations affect characters a little differently, which is why Chopped/Stitch/Crawling still have colored hair while Silvair/Hairdresser/MC have white hair. Granted Silvair has pointed earsAlso Hairdresser is a girl, some text in chapter 5 calls them 'she'I feel bad for Chopped
>>48196962This makes sense since in the ending around chapter 4 where mr gap asks for your heart in return for taking you back to the ghost/monster home, he gets mad if you pick the option to bring another human's heart instead of your own. It could just be him wanting mc's heart specifically but it fits with your tinfoil tooAlso I never noticed the bowl wasnt normal food lol, I was distracted by my cute new househusband
>>48204917It made me think he was displeased because you didn't ask the other person for their heart, just killed them and took it, as opposed to Mr Gap who only takes your body parts after you agree to it. The thought of him needing/preferring a consensual exchange was unexpectedly cute... is this Gapmoe?
>>48204995Yeah that was my interpretation of his disappointment too.>is this Gapmoe?hehe amazingly suitable nickname
>>48204995Mr.Gapmoe LOVE
>that scene where Mr. Crawling is looking up with his arms in the air for the "recover! recover! recover!" spell and his neck is fully exposedthought impure
It sold 30,000 in its first week. That's pretty good for an indie otome right?

A fan TL for Slow Damage just came out, here's the link from plebbit: https://www mediafire com/file/rid6z182kftw2pe/SlowDamageFanPatch.zip/file>removed the "they" pronouns from Arata, Honami and Junko, since the Japanese language doesn‘t use third-person pronouns and the game has never stated anything about their gender; the localisation tried to project a Western view on their identities and manipulated the text in the process. Eyepussy sisters......
>>48227614Kek, based fantl chads. That buttslut localization was such a shitpost. Read like a shitposters fever dream, but imagine paying to read that.Even the worst game in history doesn't deserve such a treatment.
>>48227614>Apparently, it's not MTL too. That's pretty cool, actually.
>>48227614Bless them. It's still early to do another playthrough, but I'll sure use this version for when that time comes.
>>48224888Do you have to romance the boys to enjoy the game? I saw a video on them before and the most fun part seems like when you're interacting with multiple boys nonromantically instead of going on dates. I like the friendship part of Flowers.
>>48229083>no slangWhy though? I understand removing localizations like "fourth of july" but I remember the dialog being reasonably slangy.
>>48229672Other than that though this fanpatch is a fucking godsend.
>>48229083how did you fragile faggots survive during the 4kids and "keikaku means plan" era if small shit like that sets you offAnd if you don't like localizations just learn Japanese at this point instead of wanting a word for word literal translation
>>48229689>4kids and "keikaku means plan" era if small shit like that sets you offJust about close to everyone who complains about localizations nowadays weren't even born by that time.
>>48229083Absolutely based. >>48229689>Noooo you have to take the eyepussies and the outdated early 2000s boomer inserted jokes in localizations, or else just learn Japanese you filthy eops!!! That sounds like a fragile faggot to me.
>>48229903enjoy your soulless slop then retard
Just a reminder that jast staff and their few 1 braincell sharing fans lurk in /jp/ vn threads, often shilling their shitty translations. Ignore them and let them seethe.
>>48230226Pfft, jast translation is soulful to you? Ok, anon. Thanks for the laugh.>>48230392Makes sense. But it's funny ngl. The mental gymnastics that they do, trying to justify the inserted eyepussies.
>>48227614 started playing this and the new translation is very good
https://x.com/yatu3zi/status/1857361319948914795?t=WZiMqr7M84VyN2e9nDXM5w&s=19I don't think that it's possible to help her. Google sucks anyways.
>>48229689just because there was a time when translators who approached jpn media butchered the text because had no clue or didn't care about the source doesn't mean now people are willing to accept that, especially for something they paid money for
>>48229267Yeah it's romance-focused, the goal is to date them. You can friendzone (or onii-chan-zone) them, but it's pretty sad and will make you feel bad for the guy lol. (I haven't played 4th one though, maybe it's different there.) You can also pick girls to hang out with too (no romance), they even have their own unique events with CGs.
>>48231184The stress of maintaining the app is not worth it imo
anysis hype for fuyuzono..?virche was pretty alright so i have decent hopes even though otomate
>>48229083Am I weird for thinking this is sus? Out of nowhere someone drops a retl patch for one of the biggest BL?
>>48227614>>48229083Very nice. I liked the game so it makes me happy anons can now enjoy it without JAST's faggotry.
>>48234332Sus in what sense? I installed it and it's running just fine. They even changed the screen and the 50+ trigger warnings that they had in the beginning. It's not mtl too. The translation is very nice actually.
>>48234975Replaying since yesterday, and i like the game better now? The previous translation made me dislike Towa, but now i feel more sympathetic towards him. He's a very chill guy. Came off totally different in jasts version. The game feels good now and I'm not exaggerating.
>>48217522東京殺人鬼 学校の怪談This was an interesting VN... I'm not sure how I feel toward the end. I think the last route ended up being a bit too all over the place for me and the pacing a bit too all over the place as a result. like the timeline where he becomes a god that just ends like *that* I'm also confused by several plot points I assume Tendou's madness was caused by Amaterasu's essentially having gone mad and having lost her will to live, but I don't understand what was the deal with the "white hand" and "pretty lady" who lives in the Aramatsuri's sea? I don't think that was Amenouzume? Also the puppets wanting to become one but they... never do? And how did Inami still loop after Yuzuru ate his snake in one timeline?
>>48229083fujos are absolutely fucking based wtf
Why are fan translators like this
>>48238648wrong kind of autism
Behind your superior fan translation>crave blood becomes crave for bloodYikes
>>48238661>>48238662point instantly proved lol
So apparently the dude just started the game two days before they released the fan translation Curious.
>>48238662>>48238648>>48238679Yea they legit just removed eyepussy and the they pronouns while changing a few words around
You guys are such sheep
>>48234332It's not a whole new translation from scratch. They used JAST translation as base and simply edited some things. That's why this "patch" requires the official English version of the game to work.
So all the eop's praising the new patch for being different were just bullshiting liarsLearn japnese
Are otome games laggy on a switch lite? Should I buy a oled switchIve never bought a console before so redpill me sisters
>Slow Diarrhea >ESL MTLers who can't spell vs. the sounds of EOPs gargling the balls of some random translatorhoo boy
>>48239227They run fine. Otome games are just slideshows with voices, they don't require extensive resources.
Anythings better than eyepussies. Even mtl slop. AI will take over translators jobs though so who cares.
>>48230392Lmao you were right.
>>48239227oled screen is way better so I prefer it but its up to you/your standards, remember you can't dock the switch lite
>>48238805I don't give a shit. Anything is better than than shit. Who the fuck butchers the characterization of the main character just for shits and giggles.
>>48238735Still better than eyepussy and the fuck was going on with towa
>>48241751What was the OG wording for eyepussy?
>>48241888iirc 秘所 or something like that. But I could be wrong, it's been years.
I still love him
>>48238735Still pretty sad that rando fans have to do JAST's proofreading and editing for them.
>>48227614Feels a little sketchy how they used JAST's translation as a base but I still commend the effort. A cease and desist letter is probably on the way though.
>>48243242Why? Nobody there are a shiton of retranslation projects on vndb, nobody bats an eye. Also they aren't American so Jast can't afford an international case. If mihoyo doesn't bother will jast that can barely afford their games. Lol no.
>>48243265I forgot that they seem to be based in Europe so perhaps you're right. Just trying to be cautious.
>>48233024Ok, I'll try it out. I hope it's suitable as a friendship simulator. My favorite series is Flowers
Was the return ending meant to imply that Mr Gap kills (you)? Why does he shuffle forward like that?
>>48243310>>48243242Eroge companies are pretty lax when it comes to fantranslation, I doubt JAST cares about this fanpatch.
it's hilarious when europoors get mad having to read american colloquialisms so they pretend they're incorrect translations or whatever.if you actually compare this fan patch to jast's text, all they did was find and replace "gonna" with "going to"
>>48238648https://x.com/darenimoinai_/status/1854501835526344879What's up with the TL having started the novel now?
>landwhale eyepussi translation VS>esl troll yurofag translation &>retarded samefagging jast employees & triggered troonsVS>retarded samefagging esl eops & mtlrsReps
I love reading stilted awkward English. Really gives that Japanese feel Also love fan translations that advertise themselves based on political shit
Ebonics otomege fan translation with my husband talking like a hood rat when?
>>48247065Our sisters verdelish and marry are working on it now. They'll include a bunch of original characters who represent our American values and Omegaverse.
>>48242905the cutest and purest
>>48245856
>>48248491>liveblogging pretending you never played it????
>>48248491Is this a troll account or what? This dude sounds like he weighs like 800 lbs.
>>48247528Finally a proper colored man localization to convey my brother husband's drug dealing thug life
When do you guys usually do the bad ends? While you're playing or after everything is over? I find it kinda kills my mood if I do a bad after getting the good ends
Would you be interested in starting a project to translate some otome PSP games that have little to no chance of being ported to the Switch?I’m thinking of games with bubble dialogue and short speeches, ideally not exceeding N3-level Japanese, like Rejet's Gekka Ryouran Romance, -8, or Lucian's Bee. PC games could work too, but don’t PC games have a higher chance of being localized and released on Steam? I’d prefer to avoid any legal trouble. This would be more for fun and practice, but it would be great to produce a finished result in the end.Tell me if you're interested. I can look which ones I can hack and grab the text from. Suggestions too.
>>48250424Mostly while playing I guess.
>>48250424Before reading the good endings because I don't want the bad end to be the last thing I read for a likeable character.
>>48243065
>that Conrad side story in the FDI knew he was messed up but now I understand to what extent... it was hot
>>48250424I get the good/best possible endings first and then quickly go through all the bad ends of the route before moving onto the next one. I immerse myself fully into the good ends so they are the proper “conclusions” in my head, and then read the bad end with the same attitude I would approach fanfic. Although, if the bad end is really good or more satisfying as a conclusion to me personally (I love tragedy and eat bittersweet ending for breakfast) I might throw everything I said before away and forget about the good ending...
>>48250424I actually just skip them unless I've read somewhere that they're plot heavy or especially good.
>>48250424I read them after the good end and generally see them as non-canon. I'm pretty used to reading alarming content in VNs so I'm not the type to get too emotionally involved unless I'm smitten by the character (rare). Since the route is also fresh in my head, reading more of the same content is ideal for JP immersion so there's no point to skip bad ends at all when I can potentially get something out of it with less effort.
>>48250424For games I'm enjoying the plot of I read them before the good ends but if I'm only liking the character moe I skip them. Been burned by too many character assassination ends and random yandere for otherwise cute guys.
>>48244448Thats what I assumed too which confused me since he usually asks for something first before going murdermode
>>48244448>>48251694I thought that ending was nice for adding extra jingai appeal. Even if you think you got it, the monsters will remain unpredictable and have motivations that are hard for humans to understand. You lower your guard around him because he's more like a comic relief chara by that point, but he still goes against the ideas you built up about him and kills you without warning.Alt answer, he's actually just approaching you for a smooch (without consent).
Want to try piofiore for nicola but the game seems boring
>>48250424I like the sweet aftertaste of a good ending, so bad ends must go first, but depends, how the good endings and bad endings are like. Some good ends, where they both die or separate, obviously aren't good ones. So I take the bad endings as good ones. Some bad endings are more fun than good ones, take Sweet Clown, rejets games and for r18, Chou no Doku and Mashou Megane for example. And talking about >>48250465 GRR, is the prime example of "forbidden - bad endings" being much more fun than the good ones. The good ones had separations, suicide attempts and "we're siblings so let's remain friends" lol. The forbidden ones were based and rejet-pilled.I'd love to help btw! The scripts are in small sentences so it's perfect for practice!
I really want to lock Shimbashi in a sex dungeon and never let him out
Which games have decent bad ends? For the most part I don't care for them because they're too short and have the LI acting OOC.
>>48256770Eh, I think it just boils down the writer. 東京殺人鬼 学校の怪談 for example which came out recently has amazing bad endings because they are all plot related.
>>48256770Club Suicide
>>48256770I liked piofiore ones ironically. Katagiri makes some memorable ones too, but these are short as fuck. The piofiore ones were decent length and even had continuation extras. +1 for chou no doku and sweet clown. Rejet games have usually 4 endings, and two of them are considered bad endings, since schizo stuff do often occur there. For bl, most kino ones were from nitro and pilslash. Pilslash/pilvamp goes the hardest.adxtjp
>>48256860Seconded
Sisters i kinda need help here, how do you crack a steam game you already bought? Yesterday i saw a game i own requested in the otome game requests on a-s and i wanted to share it for the girlies that want to play it.Btw do you need a specific program for it? I never cracked a game in my life
>>48257748Idk if this is related https://github.com/SteamAutoCracks/Steam-auto-crackBut there is a hacker in a-s that knows a lot and could help you. They made a crack for tasokare hotel voiced version too and helped cracking slow damage. You can find them in the comments uploading the cracks in slow damage and tasokare hotel threads.
my Japanese level is N3/N2 and I've never played an otome or BL game. any recommendations for 3DS?
>>48257010Seconding Piofiore, but I'm biased because it was the first time I read bad endings that were actually long and interesting and not just "you chose incorrectly, now it ends in 5 minutes and you're sad"I really did love most of the bad endings though. Some more than the good ones. Piofiore was a fun ride.
Blog do you know why slow damage was changed from third person to first person in Jasts version? Was the original masked first person to third, towa has a split persona or it was easier for the translator?
>>48265047>Was the original masked first person to thirdIt's this. That's why I don't mind JAST's change, the story flows well in their version.
>>48266305All the more reason to not do it, in my opinion, and let the reader discover this by themselves. Not that thsat would be easy, with all the distasteful jokes distracting the reader.
Muricans are known for being retarded. Want everything on their plate set out. The warnings in the beginning, spoiled half of the plot. Brit or aussie based companies might be better, or worse, idk.
I dunno. White people shouldn't get near my powerpoints period.
have u seen aussie slang lmao
>>48266609It’s standard to translate to American English (apart from for historical settings sometimes) even when the translators are not Americans themselves, so you wouldn’t see any difference in translation style. Not that it matters because it would be a stupid idea to try and publish R18 visual novels from Britain or Australia. It may seem obvious to you that fiction is just fiction but legally that is not the case in many countries. It’s illegal to publish pornographic works featuring more ‘taboo’ situations (rape, incest, etc.) and anything that implies underage participants is considered CP and is therefore illegal to even own. This can include even otherwise vanilla high school eroge. I’m surprised there’s people from those countries working on that kind of thing at all, actually, it’s very risky.
Did Ooe leak anywhere?
