This thread is for the discussion of anison (anime song), the genre of music made specifically for anime. Whether it be dedicated anime singers, voice actors, idols, as long as the song was made for an anime, it belongs here. Discuss your favorite anison artists and anime songs, and share your events and experiences!Discussion of doujin music, anikura, idols, seiyuu (outside of their music careers), and mainstream Japanese artists go in their respective threads.Previous thread: >>47890169

>>48418371>How do we save LiSA's career?She doesn't need saving.
>>48419229Her career isn't doing as well as it was during Gurenge
>>48421239And that's a good thing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdxa0T6wOwgWhen the fuck is she getting a new anime tie-up?
So did we ever find out what happened to her? She killed herself, right? Honestly speaking but she did seem like the type
>>48423844
>>48425699Nice, but what took them?
>>48425699If that ends up flopping too, will that be the end of her career? I can't believe it will take her over a year between tie-ups.
How do we make SennaRin sell more and get streamed more?
>>48428688At least her new tie up will get shilled in china
>>48428688We don't.
>>48428839You don't like her?
I miss Maon so much
How can Flying Dog promote Rei Nakashima more?
>>48437290Lesbian porn with Naobou
>>48437352Not sure if that would appeal to their demographic.

>ppl got sick of yoasobi>having the singer go solo makes it differentlol
I already miss SoundOrion.>>48440649Wasn't she already a solo singer anyway?
>>48440728It's still Yoasobi with an anime tie-in again. Only Idol was popular.
>>48437290Mayn, Mamegu, Minori Suzuki, and Yaduno Kiyono all moved out and they were more popular and better sellers. I feel bad for her, but I think they'll drop her soon.
>>48441414She's only released two singles so far and she literally had to pass an audition with thousands of applicants to launch her career. Isn't it too soon to drop her? Then again winning an audition didn't save Ami, but I wonder if what happened to Ami had less to do with her specifically (i.e. not just her Meniere's disease) and more to do with Pony Canyon getting the weakest possible tieups for her.
>>48441414>May'nDidn't Digital Double dissolve a few months ago? What happened to her after that?
>>48440800Shukufuku was before Idol and was also pretty popular, but that could simply be because G-Witch itself was popular.
>>48425698She was sick
>>48440800>>48447666Kaibutsu is more popular than Shukufuku.
>>48453117Really?
>>48459559Can she save Rei's career?
>>48464257Yuki is not happy about this
Don't know why the anon thinks Rei is going to be dropped by Flying Dog so soon, especially when she won their thousands of participants-strong audition.
>>48471976No sales = drop
>>48472439Can you blame the bad sales on her specifically rather than just Flying Dog getting her weak tie-ups?
Come to think about, Flying Dog doesn't seem to be doing so hot anime-wise have they?
>>48475682King Records downscaled too and dissolved Starchild. Otaku turned to gacha waifu.png a decade ago and VTuber waifu came after.
>>48477774>StarchildWhere did their people go to now?
>>48477774Doesn't King Records have non-anime stuff? Why would they be struggling?
>>48478437Follow the conversation, Starchild was King Records's anime production subsidy that was shut down and absorbed back. Similarly, Flyingdog belongs to JVC/Victor.
>>48479696I was talking about King, not Starchild
>>48481674>Flying Dog doesn't seem to be doing so hot anime-wise>king records shut down starchild and reduced anime production 2DEEP4U
>>48481855I think you misread me. I was asking if King Records as a whole was not doing well, given how the anime parts were only part of their business and I assume they have non-anime artists and projects as well.

Does anyone have any idea what Wajima could be doing these days? After all she seemingly quit her career a few years back.

>>48418974How do I cure myself from anisons?
>>48493463Why would you want to cure yourself from anison?
>>48494793Idk, I don't want to lie to people that I listen to Jazz instead of anisons. I do like Jazz, but I mostly listen anime songs and vocaloids
I want to go back to a time when anison didn't mean mainstream singers and utaite.
>>48496405When is that?
>>48499033Maybe 10 years ago? They've always been there, but they didn't dominate like they do now. We used to have many actual anison-focused artists. These days we rarely get new blood on that aspect.
>>48477774>>48478240>>48478437>>48481674To be fair, after Starchild dissolved all of their artists moved to King Amusement Creative.https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/KING_AMUSEMENT_CREATIVE
Aside from utaite and Vtubers shifting the direction of anison, we're seeing even more seiyuus making professional anison debuts where they sing OP/EDs under their real names, same with the increase of new seiyuu units that are specifically created for singing anison and other otaku-adjacent media such as Dialogue+, Nacherry & EverdreaM.
>>48496405>>48499375That's practically impossible now. The big names are too old and are winding down or died. RIP Mizuki Ichiro. And even the ones that aren't too old aren't singing new OPs/EDs at a consistent basis anymore. Like Kotoko. She sang 2 songs for Needy Girl Overdose and were wildly popular..... what else has she done recently? She wrote the lyrics for 16bit Sensation's ED which would have been perfect if she sang it instead.
>>48502826>The big names are too old and are winding down or died. Then get new ones?
>>48503086I can think of a few new anison artists that came to mind off the top of my head:>saji (who is also the closest to release new singles at a consistent pace)>AliA (ditto)>Nowlu>Tou (the singer of Weakest Tamer ED & Unnamed Memory OP1)>Rin Kurusu>Marina Horiuchi
These days, Lantis, MAGES. (under the recently created AniTone label), FlyingDog and Pony Canyon & SACRA MUSIC to lesser extents are the only labels I knew that still host lots of traditional anison artists of both old and new types. King Amusement Creative, NBCUniversal and Nippon Columbia still have few, while they are more or less endangered in other companies/labels.
>>48504000Forgot to add KADOKAWA in the former category as well, since they still have plenty of young anison artists that are under them.
>>48503981>NowluDoes she even do anything lately? I haven't heard about her since Stuck on You for Fuufu Ijou a couple of years ago, which sold really really badly.
>>48504026The last time she sung for an anime was Ice Guy back in January 2023 and that's it. She did however released a new tie up song for a dorama last season.
I wonder if SennaRin's next tie-up is her last chance. Like if it doesn't do well, she's gonna get dropped.
>>48503981AliA is a band though
>>48506119Yeah but the fact that so many songs by them post-2023 have been tie-ups to harem-adjacent anime might as well count as an anison act.
>>48503981Are any of them doing or selling well? Apart from Nowlu who is selling like shit.
>>48509338https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sajihttps://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AliA_(%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%AC%E3%81%AE%E3%83%90%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89)https://www.oricon.co.jp/prof/901586/ (丁 for Tei)https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%9D%A5%E6%A0%96%E3%82%8A%E3%82%93https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%A0%80%E5%86%85%E3%81%BE%E3%82%8A%E8%8F%9CYou can at least look up to the Oricon places for each single/album they have released, but I do know that almost none of them (save for Rin Kurusu's Kamikatsu OP which ranked 7th) rank above top 10.
>>48510657Doesn't seem so promising
>>48513222A proof that dedicated anison artists are all but an endangered species in an industry that heavily favor seiyuu-singers, regular bands/artists and online artists. Not that it's a bad thing, although I greatly miss 2000s-early 2010s where there was a clearer separation between regular and dedicated anison artists depending on the type of show.
https://youtu.be/-EFcgQkjPTA
>>48513479I do wonder what went wrong and why dedicated anison artists, especially new ones, are a dying breed.
Will SennaRin still be active in 2028?
Will she even be active in 2025?
>>48521477She has an upcoming song for To Be Hero X
>>48517550Nice
I like LiSA
>>48521698If the show will do well, maybe her song will sell decently albeit probably not enough to fully save her career, but we will see.
>>48529718That crowd looks small

>want to know what happened to Ami Wajima>her Twitter is protected
Faylan hasn't released a new anime song since 2015, but her game song career is still strong as ever.
>>48535727Wasn't that due to health reasons?
>>48538002Well she has been undergoing through a long-term rehabilitation and her last album was released 5 years ago, but at least she's releasing a few new songs for games every year and she's even participating in a music project called Ghost Concert as the Queen of Hearts.
How is asmi an anison singer?
https://youtube.com/shorts/RlFXEt0YxvM
>>48539753She sang for Kanokari and Pokemon>>48538399Rehab for what?
>>48501488>all of their artistsSome didn't, Nana, Yukarin, and Mamo were not under Starchild.
>>48541954>She sang for Kanokari and PokemonI mean in the sense of how comes she did anison covers as a net singer prior to singing for those shows.
>>48541954>Rehab for what?"On January 27, 2016, he announced that he would be taking a break from activities to undergo treatment for an autoimmune disease and to undergo long-term rehabilitation. He then announced his return on September 2 of the same year."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVlfQ0IuqWM
>>48544053She was really happy during her autograph session when I told her my favorite song of hers was Prime Number. Still disappointed she didn't actually sing it live, though, but I wasn't surprised.
Just imagine how different anison today would be if Mami never retired.
Man I'd like to make posts where I could list every dedicated anison artists that are still active today but I had to make one post per music label
