What is the JPDB frequency limit that you would recommend I don't go above for mining new cards as a beginner?To give more context: I just started mining after finishing with the core 2.3k deck some time ago. Wondering if my Duolingo is going to wasteI’ve been using Duolingo to learn Japanese, I know it’s not the best method but I just want to have some basic Japanese before I go to Japan. The problem is, a lot of the vocab words I learn on there seem to have different translations, whether I see it on reels or even google translate. For example, we are taught kudasai (please), gohan (rice), and ocha (green tea). Google translate tells me it’s onegaishimasu, kome, ryokucha, respectively. Another example is that we are taught dozoyorushku (nice to meet you), but it seems that everywhere else I search, it is hajimashite. There are actually so many words that are like this, I’m taught red is akai, but google translate says it’s aka. I’ve put a lot of time into this, and I don’t want to go to Japan saying words that no one uses. Is there some truth to this? Is there something im missing?

Took a break from mining because I got a new PC and was too lazy to set up everything from scratch again. Anyway, now I have finally done it, and am I remembering this wrong or did card creation via Yomichan/tan/rikai used to directly open the card edit screen so you could immediately paste in the audio and picture and sentence? When I click to add an anki card now, it just adds it quietly, and if I want to edit the card I have to go into anki and open the cards menu. And the cards editing is also "minimised" to the right side of the screen and I have to drag it over with the mouse to fully open... I'm not tripping right, this used to be way simpler. Wtf.
