I am rolling out the dedicated server for real this time. Hopefully it'll be fine, but don't be surprised if it is a disaster.
Worst case, we'll take a brief intermission and we'll go back to the old listen server method.

Just to clarify since there was a lot of confusion about it last time: the server is just to make it easier to host on your end right? (i.e. you turn it on when it's time to host and play a game) And from a player pov it's functionally no different than how we've always done it? (i.e. you post gaming thread, we join game when it's time)

Yes. It's to make it hopefully easier and more reliable, as well as allowing for options.
I have no intentions of having any kind of 24/7 server.

I don't really understand why some of you think a dedicated server means it will be up 24/7.

Scratch the server. Mom unplugged it and now it doesn't boot...
