This is my first eroge, and I finished it fairly recently. I'm currently playing kns2 while waiting for ooe, and I absolutely love it so far.As for the similarities, both are murder mysteries set in remote villages, with the main characters tasked with solving murders. The atmosphere is quite similar overall, and both are set in post-war Japan in the late 50s. There's also plenty of references to Japanese literature in both. The music in both games is fantastic as well.That said, as this anon mentioned >>48762392, kns2 is much more depressing compared to ooe, which has its funny moments. Part 2 of ooe hasn’t been released yet, but (big spoiler for both), both games deal with topics like inbreeding, etc. .In terms of characters, I like everyone in both games. Reiji is total husbando material, but Tomoyuki is great too, I have a soft spot for pathetic men. Fun fact: he shares the same voice actor as Shizuma (I’m playing the remastered version).
