Oh the new passive effect they put on the Tower enemies makes it so that Unison attacks no longer KB every enemy just like in the old games.
That's great. Should've been like this from the very beginning because it adds another layer of splitting up attacks to KB/Rumble threats instead of just spamming Unison and CT buffs.
Now they just need to find a way to make Rumble worth doing. Unfortunately that's harder because that probably requires removing a ton of EX gain from every other source and we all know how shitty that felt.

can only get to floor 90 in the sister tower with two water units (xmas ireina and namael) and three others maxed out. I think the on type gives you 5 bonus floors since I went from 85 to 90 swapping out a non-water type with ireina. it's going to take an insanely long time to ever hit floor 100 since I used HALF of my sisters material maxing ireina. definitely doesn't seem worth buying/upgrading sachi for this.

also cleared the scene battles without leveling wisteria, oops.

I am one of the only doofuses with 3 raised sisters of the same element and I'm only scheduled for beating floor 94. Going from 4 ability releases to 5 only gave me 1 more floor from 93 to 94 by the way. Wonder how big the boost from LBing is.

Major breakpoints to aim for seem to be 70, 79, and 89. and the final 99/100. Well this mode seems to give a fuckload of sister mats, so it seems the sister paradigm will be changing from now on.

I tried evasion, only to find out it was only for physical attacks and the enemies do magic attacks.
Diamond (JewPri) has been pretty effective since she reapplies her shield every time she gets hit. But it eventually stops working. One problem with her is how she'll never use her support skill, which gives everyone 200hp heal on being hit, but I know she's on All-Out instead of adapt.

Last year they had like 3000 coupons for 10% off a 5000 DMM points for 150 gems pack and they were gone within a few hours. This year they had 45K coupons for a more accessible and better value 10% off a 500 DMM points for 20 gems pack, but only 10.5K were used, and it was 5 per person.

And the real reason is because I swore off JP only games ages ago. I used to play tons of JP games back in my day as a hobby but I stopped playing them and doing other stuff because I got tired of not being able to read.

So what am I supposed to be doing on Twinkle Star Knights as a new player?

A friend kept sending me pictures of this girl among others badgering me to play and decided to because it has very robust English resources but still kinda lost on what's the gameplan other than the standard rush msq that all games have

Accruing resources to eventually build your teams. The gameplay itself is degenerate and the game's difficulty is piss easy generally, but eventually it throws out 2 specific types of events every so often. Towers and All-Out Wars. Event Towers are simply challenge content, usually having gimmicks with the final couple of floors being an absolute pain unless you've got a proper comp built. All-Out Wars are roster checks that expect you to have 3 teams of the right elements.

To start off, your first team building step is acquiring sources of CT reduction. Koharuko, the 2-star light unit is the premiere mistake they've never truly repeated having such a huge CT reduction with long duration she works for every element, not just light. But you need to roll her enough times until you can 3 star her for her EX2 skill which is what does that, so it's a bit annoying early on.

Past that, the basic team structure is CT reduction, a bunch of buffers/debuffers usually including a healer, and then 1 meaty DPS. Hard content is basically looping your team infinitely while the enemy never gets a turn until you're buffed so much your DPS nukes the enemy the moment they unleash their skill. It's very much a team building game. And for basic starters, you need 8 teams. 5 elemental, 3 race. That's just the start, there's mixed element, race+element, faction, weapon type, etc.

The game powercreeps frequently and the amount of limited releases are really low so the vast majority of units enter the standard pool. Doing the permanent towers will also get you crystals which can give you 3 stars. The crystal pools do get updated, so it's very easy to get a bunch of proper 3 stars starting out.

I kind of wish they continued down the Rio LB type of progression. Even if it's a small thing, her starting unique gauge +2 does have an affect on how you play with her.
Upgrading her actually did something besides slight number changes.
But I understand going down that path sucks a lot of gems so it's a bad idea for the players.

Maybe add a new upgrade path besides LB that will give you those effects idk
