>>50230980Super cute, I love the layering! >>50231091Dream Choice if you want one of the limited heads or a tan girl, otherwise always just get the doll you want, not the getting experience you want.
>>50230980It looks great! Nice job!>>50231091I'd recommend waiting for something you really fall in love with. Price/cost should be an a secondary concern.
Surgery update: 100% success. Turns out I didn't need to buy a whole new pair of knee joints as they did in fact separate. Just needed pliers to overcome my weenie hand strength. Never hurts to have spare Obitsu parts though, given their fondness to fail in spectacular ways. Hurry up and restock those ankle joints. This is probably it for the major external mods on Hibiki. At this point she's an Obitsu-hybrid version of a DDP, with most of her Azone-ness is gone. She might regain some if I get the new L bust, but I don't see Azone supporting it outside of doll specific full sets. Probably be a downgrade as well from her current 2nd place status.
>>50236375She's changed so much since she first arrived almost five years ago.
Anyone have one of the dollbot mesugakis..?
>>50236394they just grow up so fast…!
anybody in the US know a way to buy from mandarake that won't cost 150usd to ship a single doll dress? it's fucking insane.
>>50236870Unfortunately anon, at least for now, this is our new reality. Learning to sew has never been a more attractive pursuit.
>>50236870Find someone on the inside that will send you the item and under-declare its cost and/or send it as a gift. Good luck with that.>>50236879Learning to make and mend your clothing is always a valuable skill to have.
>>50236870Mandarake sometimes* also list their items on Mercari or Y!J. You'll need to find that same item listing on an alternative website. Then use 3rd party service like buyee, etc. To buy it for you. Pay them the small commission and their lower shipping cost.(I did this many times)
>>50237592>>50236879Yeah, I lucked out with that earlier this year and used my normal proxy just fine, I guess I just didn't know it was a fluke at the time. I just wish they wouldn't ONLY offer the most expensive DHL line. >>50237100It's not even the tariff, which wouldn't be more than 20 for the dress, it's the using only DHL that's lame about it. If Volks can send me a doll DHL for 50 bucks, there's no reason Mandarake can't send a single dress for the same. Just typical Japanese weirdness.
>>50237592I think they're complaining about the tariffs spiking the shit out of doll clothes. So many hobbies have been effectively killed by them over the last few months.
I'm afraid of dolls during Halloween. They might be haunted.
Nothing Spooky or haunted.Just a Purifying Space Fox Mom.
>Anti-Ogre-Patrol, Warlock-1 reporting in. No doll-snatching ogre activity so far.
>>50240064Thank you for your service! Be safe out there! Really cool broom, did you make it anon?
>>50240179>Really cool broom, did you make it anon?Yup, twisted aluminium wire as a core, polymer clay and some raffia. I also wanted to make a spooky lantern but didn't have the time. >>50236454Alayne here >>50240064 used to be on a dollbot body but switched to a 2d doll resin body recently. If you've got any questions about them I might be able to help out.
>>50240383>and some raffiaI instantly realized I had everything at my disposal to copy this idea, thanks anon.To make, I cut two strips of paper then placed them in the sewing machine. I ran a line of stitches down the paper, adding raffia between the paper as I went. I did three lines of stitches across the raffia, making a mat of even thickness. Then I tore away the paper from the stitches and trimmed the ends of the raffia even on the top and bottom. Applied glue to a ~6mm wood dowel and wrapped the start of the mat around it, waited for it to cure, then tightly wrapped the rest of the mat and tied it with a ribbon bow.
>>50240064>>50240759>>50239556Look at all these spooky cuties! Happy Halloween anons!
>>50238895no worries anon, the wayward spirits that dolls absorb throughout the year can be dispelled by fondling gourds. you did buy sacrificial gourds, right…?>>50239556>>50240064>>50240759>>50240950CUTE!!
Happy halloween
>>50239556>>50240064>>50240759>>50240950>>50241098>>50241383Cute!
Happy halloween. I need some spookier outfits for them for next year.
>>50241642Cute spooky girls in cute outfits is a good vibe too!
>>50238808DHL has gone to even more shit in the last year. The fact that regular postal services are refusing to accept mail to the US because of the tariff bullshit isnt helping either. Pretty sure they're charging way more now than 6 months ago.
>>50241383>>50241566i love the mood of your photos, anons! >>50241642cute! in the meantime, i bet you can still get pretty spooky playing around with lighting and angles
I regret not getting Anthy so much shes so pretty
>>50244375
All the Halloween photos in this (and the previous) thread were really good, anons, you really outdid yourselves this year.
Did DDPs kinda fail as a product? I never see people with them just MDD or bigger ones at events
>>50247943DD and MDD were established long before, and the in-between sizes have weird support prop-and-clothing-wise by comparison as a result, so they're less popular. They're probably my favorite scale, though.
>>>50199110as promised
>>50250294Cute! Nice dress and props!
