Anyone here actually use D-Lead products, or any leadremovers in general?
I am currently looking at wipes, hand soap, body wash & shampoo, laundry detergent, and a lot more but theres too many to name...How many should I buy, and should I just buy all of them to be safe?
I shoot a fair amount and I’m going to be shooting way more this year than I ever have, and I'm starting to wonder how paranoid I should be about lead exposure...Because I’ve heard horror stories about young dudes who shot their whole lives, never wore gloves, never washed right, ate at the range, reloaded bare-handed and endedup with fcknCANCER or straight up DEAD a few decades later from lead poisoning.

>Is this a legit concern, or am I turning into a schizo?
>What precautions actually matter (ventilation, washing hands, changing clothes), and what’s overkill?
>I also have Pets, and I don't want them getting sick either.

To add to this when you shower/wash your clothes you want to use cold water, hot water opens up your pores and the lead can get in like that and I forget why with the clothes but there was a reason.
>>
>>64754353
For adult level exposure, you have to be pretty careless for it to be a problem. I actually had slightly elevated lead once and the cause was eating after shooting with groups of people but not adequately washing my hands in between. Once I started washing my hands a bit more thoroughly the level went down to negligible levels. That's all it took.

If you have small kids in the house additional precautions like using gloves, not bringing contaminated clothes/shoes in the house, etc. start to be a bit more relevant. The threshold for exposure being harmful is much lower on a ~5 year old, so it makes sense to control it more stringently in that case.

Also shooting while pregnant is a big no-no, not just because of lead exposure. This may seem obvious but I have seen people bring pregnant women to the range with them (every time it was an indoor range too which is much worse).
>>
>>64754353
The basics are fine, anon. Don't eat or smoke while you're shooting, don't transport your spent brass in something that you'd eat out of, and wash your hands when you're done. The vast majority of the lead exposure that shooters get is from inhalation, not ingestion, which is a little trickier to deal with if you shoot indoors. Shoot outdoors if possible and if you make your own ammo and dry tumble your brass, strongly consider switching to wet tumbling. It works better anyway.

>>64755442
If you want to get technical about it, use lukewarm water. Cold water closes the pores and temporarily traps anything in there during washing, making it less effective. If it's good enough for nuclear decon, it's good enough for lead decon.
>t. used to be a contamination worker

Along with a bunch of other things, like better nutrition and modern medicine. A lot of people forget that Antibiotics weren't really a thing before WWII; there are all sorts of things that people were regularly dying from back then which are easily treated with modern medicine.

>>64755475
It's not just lead safety, handwashing is super important for food safety in general. Most cases of foodborne illness come down to someone not washing their hands, very often the eater.

Kinda close but still slightly short, I'll grant that it's a wider boolet and just will make a wider hole tho. The JUSTASGUD aspect also wasn't pushed in marketing, just something I see people say.

The wilson combat 92's came directly from the Beretta USA factory. WC literally never touched them, they just worked together on a configuration. Unless you bought it direct from WC, there was no trigger work on them. They had line in the marketing that stated, "tightest frame to slide fit physically possible". Of course mine was looser than a clapped out M9. So needless to say they were HIGHLY overpriced. Is this how LTT guns are or does LTT actually assemble each one?

That was probably a factor but, I think it was more to do with money. The ambassador vaguely alluded it in his interview and the Miggers were partially grounded from 2002 to 2011 because of budgetary constraints. One of Hasina's whistle-blowers also mentioned that one of her major campaign contributors made a lot of money skimming money off the top. I think Hasina wanted an easy pay day and decided buying fighter jets was the easiest way she could justify it to parliament

No, because it has stopped acting like a solid object in contact with something while going at speeds much below that of which atoms shift.

Yes, I do
But since we have not accelerated a 9mm bullet to relativistic speeds and observed their collisions, but we have accelerated particles to relativistic speeds and observed their collisions, we have more real evidence for my theory than yours, such as it is

Now, I understand the Type 81 family. I have owned a few. What was the reason behind this? Was it just an alternative to the type 81 that simply wasn’t adopted? Type 80 was never fully adopted for whatever reason, just niche roless and at some point the type 67 was abandoned without replacement.

Wikipedia says that the QBZ-03 'appears' to be derived from the Type 81/87 (with the 87 being a testbed design), but honestly they don't look alike at all.

It is interesting that they even looked into the concept enough to make a distinct prototype, but quickly landed at the same conclusion. Shit is just way too complicated and not worth it.

I still think Russia only ever "adopted" the AN-94 as a clever scheme to steal money while not really adopting anything. Looks impressive, sounds revolutionary, costs a fortune, money is paid up front but the new rifle never shows up and the AK-74 remains in service instead. It was the 1990s, that money never got to Izhevsk and what little did only bought a small production run.

When the Geran/Shahed drones first appeared, I figured Russia would use them smartly in a classic SEAD/DEAD role: send waves of them to force Ukrainian IADS to light up radars and reveal positions, then follow up with VKS aircraft, with anti-radiation missiles to systematically dismantle those defenses.

Russia instead has chosen the most brain-dead and wasteful approach, by treating the Geran/Shaheds s as nothing more than slow, low-cost cruise missiles hurled directly at static infrastructure targets, while leaving the overwhelming majority of Ukraine's air defenses intact and free to keep operating.

They're banking entirely on brute-force volume and saturation to get a few through, completely abandoning any effort at SEAD/DEAD. But the thing is that they're not even achieving any kind of saturation effect since, the launches are scattered haphazardly across random cities, regions, and targets all over Ukraine that changes every night (some they they go after energy infrastructure, some other go after some depots, some others they try to hit some cities...), instead of making up their minds and concentrate them single high-value area, frontline sector, or even one major city at a time, and keep hitting them until achieving disruption or collapse. This is also precisely why so few targets are actually hit despite hundreds being launched every night, and so many of them are intercepted.

By contrast, even in the recent U.S. operation in Venezuela, the LUCAS drones (the American Shahed clones) were properly integrated into a coordinated SEAD/DEAD package.

>The USSR spent 60 years having a doctrine of "fuck SEAD
They did have some capability, but it was really 1960s tech used in the 1980s.

They had to physically switch the guidance package to suit the intended target, which was maybe sorta-kinda workable in a first strike scenario to maybe knock out some of the known NATO SAM systems, like Hawk or Bloodhound, and they even made a version that was designed to home in on Patriot's radars.

It wasn't much, but it made NATO loook at the Su-24 as a real threat.

Fair, I won’t say they don’t. But in that case the smallest NAA still works fine for shooting something in the head at nearly point blank. Or a heritage rough rider is cheaper, better to shoot, and it’s not like you need the concealability in that scenario.

Why aren't ballistic submarines the backbone of world navies? Why haven't surface ships been relegated to carrier protection and amphibious operations? Why not make SLBMs out of RIM-66s and Standard missiles and Tomahawks and ASROCs? If you want force projection why wouldn't the ambiguity of the presence of submarines be enough to scare your enemies?

I can’t believe it took a 30 minute video to say what we already knew, which is that 10mm Auto is the superior automatic handgun cartridge, and that only after having to water it and then .40 S&W down for the women, manlets, and fags in the FBI did they just settle on 9mm because there was no difference at that point. Amazing.
>But muh fire rate!
Literally doesn’t matter in a combat scenario, doubly so if your shots don’t actually land. Paul Harrell already established this in his 1986 Miami Dade shootout analysis.

Lift weights and carry 10mm, anons.

Russia has for the first time deployed new strike drones, the 'Geran-5' and 'Geran-4'.
>Russian forces first used the new strike drone 'Geran-5' during attacks on Ukraine in early 2026, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. The drone is a large jet-powered UAV with a classic aerodynamic design, differing from earlier models.
>The 'Geran-5' has a length of about 6 meters and a wingspan of about 5.5 meters. It is equipped with a Chinese-made turbojet engine, capable of carrying a warhead weighing about 90 kg and hitting targets at a distance of up to 1,000–1,050 km. Its navigation system includes a 12-channel 'Comet' satellite system, a microcomputer-based tracker, and 3G/4G modems.
>According to Ukrainian intelligence, the design of the 'Geran-5' contains elements similar to the Iranian drone Karrar. There are discussions about the possibility of launching this UAV from aircraft, such as the Su-25, and its potential equipping with 'air-to-air' missiles.
>As for the 'Geran-4', it is known that it is an intermediate jet version between the early 'Geran' models and the new 'five'. According to preliminary data, this drone may have a warhead weighing about 50 kg, a speed of 350–500 km/h, a range of up to 950 km, and can also be launched from the Su-25.
>Thus, the 'Geran-5' is a new jet-powered long-range strike UAV, comparable in its characteristics to a cruise missile, while the 'Geran-4' is considered its less powerful predecessor
