Test fired the PMXs yesterday. Functioned flawlessly. It’s a nice shooter. Obviously not as nice as my MP5K but it’s smoother than the scorpion. Still new but I honestly kind of prefer something extremely simple like this over my MP5K which is reliable, but I’m not 100% confident in.
>>
Still in the break-in period with my ap5 but I went through about 150 rounds today with no issues at all, feels good. Used a mix of 124 gr blazer and ATS (this one was new for me). I still haven't cleaned it yet lol.

The sprung ball detent on the top of the bolt seems like an anti-bolt bounce feature.
>>
>>61413751
I think so. It seems to me like an extremely well designed and manufactured gun.

I have the AP5P.
KP9 is really cool but 9mm AKs kill themselves and KUSA hired a pornstar to run the company when I was considering one.
Stribog idk it never interested me
PMX just kind of did it for me. I like beretta, made in Italy, it’s unpopular, has a cool history, and I think it looks pretty cool. After I watched that Denzel washington movie that had them I couldn’t resist any longer. $800 after rebate is the right price.

Some open bolt goodies. The PPS is a lot better made with vastly improved handling over the Shpagin, but the papasha is nicer to shoot.
>>
>>61414387
The NFA fucks over PCCs more than any other category of firearm. An unsuppressed PCC with 16 inch barrel is mostly a fun plinker that can be used for home defence in a pinch, a short barreled, suppressed PCC with a giggle switch absolutely fucks.
>>

I know $1,200 seems like a lot. And for many years for me it was. Now its not and the difference between an $800 gun and a $1,200 gun feels like the difference between an $80 and $120.
>>
>>61420307
anon regardless of how much money you make 1200 dollars is a lot. making more money shouldn't mean you spend more money poorly.

ben franklin probably said that
>>
>>61420339
Dude. A couple of years ago, honestly mainly through luck, i almost tripled my income from ~$80k/yr to $225k/yr before bonus and taxes. I invest much more annually than my previous take home. $1,200 is a whim purchase for me. I don’t think the Beretta is a good value for the money at all (one of the few situations for their guns to be honest), but there are a ton of buyers who’ll just shrug and say “looks cool” and buy it without thinking too much about the cost.

ran good on a 32rd promag except when it failed, started double feeding on the next round, then fully broke out on the last round with the tube shooting forward on recoil spring tension.

I worked in corporate finance. I had moved up from Jr. Analyst to Sr. Analyst. The company I worked for got bought by a PE firm. I was the one who put together the CIM for the sale. The quality of earnings report for the transaction advisory company, all the financial exhibits for the pitch book, etc. the FP&A manager and the CFO were lazy fucks and I was doing all of the legwork. after a year under the new ownership I was on the owning PE firm’s website and they had an opening for an associate position. i applied and a bunch of the guys recognized me and also really liked my work so it was kind of a breezy interview. So $80k to over $200k rather quickly. So mostly luck. BTW I have a BS in economics and have my CFA charter. I know to move up to VP and eventually managing partner I’ll need my mba though.

>>61423496
I live in DFW
Do you know how taxes work?
My top tax rate is 32% but only on the 182k-231k earned.
>>
>>61423593
oh, he's involved in jewish trickery
>>
>>61423593
Duuude! I may need to hit you up on the side. I'm in DFW as well and work in the investments industry. 20 years of experience, fully licensed and I'm working on my CFP/ChFC. I'm also severly underpaid. Not even joking. If you have the time and a throw away email account I'd love to talk.
>>
>>61424078
The CFA charter was brutal, and quite unlike a CFP or even a ChFC. I passed all 3 levels first try, but I budgeted 9mo. of study, 1.5 hours a day for each or about 450 hours for each. The pass rates are in the mid-high 30% range of test takers per level.

Financial advising is a wholly different thing to corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, etc.

>>61423830
I’m not surprised at your response. You’re in the game, the rules are stupendously simple, all you gotta do is play.
>>
>>61423593
I believe it. Once you pass a certain threshold the nepotism reaallly kicks in
>>
>>61424342
Same as it ever was. It’s about trust and familiarity. My work product was good enough for the nepotism to get me across the finish line. If i didn’t have the juice, they wouldn’t have even interviewed me in the first place.

I'd reprofile the ass end to look a little neater but other than that it's good looking.

>>61420497
I think it just needs to be beefed up in the front maybe? The first pic makes it look like you have about 3-4mm max on that front wall between the front and the hole. Sorry for speaking metric here; my brain works imperial for everything except printing and teeny tiny stuff because slicers are (were?) metric by default. MM is the only metric measurement I really use since it's useful for tiny shit.

entry cost for the UZI Pro right now is stupid. The brace ruling killed any imports last year which were already largely stopped. Magazines are basically impossible to find unless you want rape-me-in-the-ass gunbroker prices.

I got mine during a sales event in Czechia. You see, CZ scalps locals big time, Evo was a $1500 gun on the domestic market until last year, when CZUB suddenly reduced the MSRP to just under $1100. Thanks to some "best sales" awards for dealers bullshit, several gunstores started competing with very pleasant results for us buyers. They couldn't undercut the factory MSRP, so they waged the price war by adding more and more extras, peaking at 1100 bucks for the gun + 1000 rounds + 30% rebate on optics of your choice, which suddenly brought the gun from "mildly overpriced" to "cheapest non-surp PCC on the Czech market" level.
It's far from perfect out of the box (wobbly, snappy, stiff controls), but it just runs and I can shoot it quite well. Gonna use it in shooting classes, cause my other long gun (lol, Evo is classed as "Pistol" here!) is an inch pattern FAL and the difference in cpr is significant. Gotta get a can for it in the foreseeable future as well because why the fuck not.

I would argue that despite it's weight, this is one of the best, particularly for lefties. Because of it's design the ejection port is far forward of the users face. If you're left handed, this keeps you from getting gassed like you would with, for example, a kel-tec sub2000.

It's heavy. It's not that accurate. It's direct blowback.
The trigger is good, better than most PCC/PDWs. It takes down to a small size and does everything I want while not filling my nose with gas and it's cheap...relatively speaking.
>>
>>61432439
it really is a same the uzi pro is like 2k and also have a worthless trigger because they look siqq with all the fixins on them

>>61436555
I'd personally rather not have to wear gloves and have the ability to immediately handle my can then let it cool off than wait 5 less minutes to detach my can. Most people are retards and don't know how to size their wraps, or they buy wraps with some kind of system like badly sized buckles that don't allow you to cinch it down.
>>
>>61444611
I don’t disagree in the slightest. As awful as it is, the fact of the matter is you are indeed in it. And honestly it’s the same as it ever was. You must think I like or love my job. Few in finance do. The hours are long and the industry cut-throat. They’re there for the money to do what they want in life otherwise, because by 45, many can quit and live off interest. A short stint to frt out of wage slavery as quickly as possible. But your petulance keeps you down and whining about it, and it says more about you than me.

>has anyone shot anything like a Mini Uzi or an Uzi Pro?
Yes, I've built all three - SMG, Mini, and Micro, using only scrap receiver pieces.
I sold the SMG and Micro during the pandemic for insane money and regret it often now that parts kits have dried up or become extremely expensive.
Still have the mini, but haven't fired it yet because of some dimensional issues front-to-back with my reweld, I'm a little short, so the out of battery safety block won't unlock on the ejector, but can't find accurate dimensions anywhere so it's a process that continues.
I could test it without the safety block but I'm obsessively neurotic and want it to be correct beforehand.
>Am I going to be disappointed comparative to all of the other options on the market for PCCs of this size?
There are a lot of variables here. To be clear, I love the Uzi family and think they're great, but frankly, I think you should try to lessen your expectations as much as you can.
They are all based off a 70 year old design, the full-size weighs as much as a full-length FAL, they won't be as quiet suppressed as an MP5 or CMMG RDB, are ergonomically lacking, and mounting optics, lights, etc. on any of them is often not a straightforward task for a variety of reasons (it can be done, obviously, but isn't as simple as slapping whatever on a pic rail).

That said, they are still competitively compact, even by today's standards.
A Mini with a 7.75" barrel is less than 14" long, and with a 20 round mag, only 7" tall including sights.
The full size is also deceptively accurate, you can definitely keep shots on a paper plate at 100 yards pretty easily, even with iron sights.
The triggers aren't fantastic, but whoever told you they "suck" hasn't used one. They're fine.
Many times people get confused between the Uzi and MAC triggers, the MACs had horrible trigger slap, the Uzi's did not. You're not getting match-grade, and they have a good bit of creep, but they're consistent.
Feel free to ask any q's.

>Magazines are basically impossible to find unless you want rape-me-in-the-ass gunbroker prices.
Why not just cut a notch in the surplus SMG mags?
Does that not work?
>>
I want to lighten my Ruger PC Carbine.

My understanding is, the bolt is so heavy because it needs to keep the breech sealed until the bullet exits the 16" barrel. So, if the barrel was shorter, the bolt could be lighter.

So what I want to do is drill out the barrel so that its only effectively 10", and then put in a lighter bolt. Does anyone see an issue with this theory?
>>
>>61449046
Oh I don’t deny it. Perhaps it went over your head so I’ll spell it out. Even in a righteous, healthy, humane system you’d still find something about it to not do shit. Its like doing chores or keeping your body in good fitness. The people who don’t do shit because “the game sucks” are the people who don’t do shit when it has nothing to do with the game. They tend to be slovenly regardless. I guess it’s not really your fault, it’s just your temperament, it makes it no less pitiable.

Any recommendations for a PCC suppressor? I own an SBR'ed SP5, SBR'ed AP5-P and an SBR'ed PS90. I was leaning towards a Rugged Obsidian 9 and just making the P90 wait until I got a 5.56 can.
>>

>PCC suppressor
what do you call a glock in a 'flux' type chassis like the recover tactical 20/20 or the B&T USW?

And how do the optimal suppressor requirements differ from a traditional PCC with a fixed barrel etc?
>>
>>61464840
I think a lot of the problems people run into suppressing it is either due to not running an adjustable recoil spring or not running a booster on their suppressor. I’m going to take the plunge here soon on mine so I guess we’ll find out, but from my research if you have those two things 90% of suppressors should work.
>>
>>61432439
WTF happened with the UZI Pro? I got one a couple years ago for 900, sold it to a buddy for 1000 because I couldn't find mags, then he tells me he sold it for 2000 and lo and behold they're just suddenly 2000+ guns
>>
>>61433051
The raider is kinda an Instagram whore gimmick. The stock/brace bit is borderline too shitty to even use, the spring loaded bit doesn't always work, and the 320 is dogshit anyway and requires too much dicking around with to run comped/suppressed.
>>
>>61471764

>>
>>61471801
that's a bummer. would've been cool if they actually put shit out for them and kept em around. better/cooler than half the other janky gimmick pcc on the market
>>
>>61471508
Obsidian 9 is a good can but modularity is a meme. I use mine with tri-lug and haven't had any issues.
>>
>>61471787
I just got the flux chassis and uh yeah I'm actually a little mad I fell for it. 450 bucks for this piece of shit plastic chassis that is gonna eventually break when the shitty metal brace breaks the dogshit plastic mold that holds it in place. What the fuck was I thinking? It's barely better than a recover tactical that's like 4 times less expensive.
>>
>>61473226
NTA but that shit always bugs me. Why the fuck is a piece of plastic THAT MUCH? I get it, molds are expensive, etc. etc. But god damn, it's every hyped up product in the gun industry. I'd have some silly things if the prices weren't like this. Binary triggers, Flux chassis, etc. But at $250+ they're not an easy no-brainer buy.
>>
I love my recover tactical (especially for the price), but the fact that I have to take the glock out of it to take the slide off kinda sucks ass since it'll probably lose zero when I put it back in.
>>
>>61473308
Retards who buy into them, like me, will pay the retarded prices they ask for. It's niche shit after all.
>>
>>61473926
Just mindboggling some of these prices. I think Franklin would be unironically better off selling their binary triggers cheaper; they'd probably do more volume and make more money which would be very good for keeping them legal and getting them lawyer and new product/research/prototype money. There's no way they "just can't"; I mean look at the low end nicer-than-milspec triggers out there; the prices are crazy low and even the higher end brands are pretty cheap, so a binary shouldn't be TOO much more. "Way back in the day" (80s/90s) there used to be a pretty cheap single part Mini14 drop in binary apparently, no selector though. I'd like a binary for a 10/22 but not at the price of ~0.85-1.1 Ruger 10/22s. Flux I get it, it'll be niche, but they're making a chassis that isn't a big fuck like the Roni. If they made them cheap for several different oddball guns I'd probably have a couple. Shit, they're not even making the Glock chassis right now like what the fuck lol. Stupid artificial scarcity bullshit tactics. And man if I pay that much for either the customer service better be licking my nuts anytime I need them. I mean Leupold-tier "whatever you need, no questions asked" lifetime service.
>>
>>61473308
500 bucks for a complete lower that includes an afg, secondary mag storage, spring-loaded brace and a light+optics mount. its not a bad deal considering most places sell their braces for like 300 bucks.
>>
>>61434809
If I ever get around to buying a beretta 92 my immediate second purchase is one of those.

Right now the glock/S2ak combo combo is pretty great but at some point I need to just buy a 9mm
>>
>>61449549
What the fuck is that and where can I get one
>>
>>61475093
Doesn't matter, it's still plastic shit
>>
>>61475093
That doesn't justify the flux's price. Braces are just overpriced because they know they can get away with it. What's the alternative? A 200 dollar tax stamp that you have to wait for and show to every ATF agent that asks, and a stock that's almost as expensive?
>>
>>61474069
honestly I think it really is down to the lack of demand so they can't justify scaling up production to lower prices. Most gun owners are probably content with just the bare minimum so they won't get things like a binary trigger or a chassis like the flux.
>>
getting ass raped is just how the game works. Can't afford it? Don't fucking buy it. Don't be a commie about it

I don't know about that. There's a lot of guys with braces and other "weird" stuff now that braces aren't in that magical $150-200 price range "weird new" accessories seem to float in despite being made by huge manufacturers. Yes binary triggers would rarely get used considering ammo costs but on .22s they'd sell pretty good IF they weren't $250. Perhaps it could be argued that it's in a bit of a catch 22 situation where it doesn't sell much so the price doesn't get changed much but I don't think so. I'm sure they spent a good amount advertising it; I mean you do remember how many binary trigger, Roni, and Flux videos major "guntubers" did, right? I mean fucking .22plinkster even has his own Franklin 10/22 binary trigger group model. Everyone knows about them, but not everyone wants to pay that kind of price.

PCCs can actually get close to movie quiet and the pressure wave is way easier to handle indoors and still puts good sized holes in unarmored attackers. They are a great PDW option for civilian usage at point blank ranges which are most civilian self defense situations.

it's gonna do you more harm than good. Same with gun cases that create an humid enviroment where air stagnates. for the barrels just put them in a ziploc back and douse them with oil so they remain wet, for the guns either store them in a safe with a dehumidifier or just remember to disassemble them and check for rust every so often

go shorter. because the 8in with muzzle brake is like >10in anyways.
the velocity increase is negligible imo and the only benefit is rail space at the cost of maneuverability.
tug on your cock and ask yourself if 8in would be enough to get the job done or would you be greedy and need the extra two inches of dry dick? compared to the 4in barrel currently in your hand, you should have no problem fitting a light and grip on the 8 incher. but both you and i know, if you get creative you can make the 4in version work just as good. I'll let you know more about it once the RMA process is done and they send me a good one this time. Hopefully.

I kinda want a stribog in .40. is it absolutely ok to shoot .40 in the SP10? Will the mags fit it and work properly?

Nothing cope about it, just being aware of the downsides of the gun and not letting them bother me. They make no difference to me when having fun shooting with it. Not everything has to be a min/max meta weapon. It’s ok to have guns that are fun to shoot and that you think are cool and the TP9 is both of those things.
>but muh expensive range toy
Yeah it’s expensive but I don’t care, I specifically wanted one and saved up for it. Yes a cheaper 9mm pcc/pdw will shoot just as fine for a lot less money but it isn’t a TP9 and I wanted a TP9 so I set aside the money for one. If I didn’t want a TP9 I wouldn’t have gotten one knowing the downsides of it but I wanted one and the downsides didn’t make a difference to me because it’s a cool gun.

Who cares, I can magdump into dirt just fine with the stock shitty trigger. Could it magdump faster with a better trigger? Yeah but who cares. It’s a 5” barrel 9mm with a plastic wire stock not a fancy target gun. I don’t care that the trigger sucks.

This thing is cool but I've heard it needs a cheek riser to be fun to shoot.

Maybe depending on the optic? But mine is just fine without one.

I just ordered a Dead Air Mojave 9 for my MPX-K. The adapter for said suppressor is backorder everywhere. I pit in an order for it on Optics Planet, and now that I'm looking, none of my rifles have 1/2x28 threads which it ships with lol

That’s what I want to get for my CMMG Mk9.

Okay, but due to how expensive it is, I would rather buy one of the many superior PCC’s for the same price or less. If it had an aftermarket to fix the trigger I’d probably buy one right now. No reason to spend $2000+ on a gun that feels shitty to shoot

Nice picture of a shadow.

probably not the right place to ask this but can I use an obsidian 9 spacer in a csg mod 9? Or do I HAVE to get the OEM space for it?

I like CMMG, wanted one in 5.7 but now that I'm doing NFA stuff I may not bother. I wanted the Wolfman, but out of stock everywhere. This Mojave 9 seems like an all around upgrade, made from titanium, flow through, slightly narrower.

The frustrating part is that the can will likely arrive before the adapter, which is on extended backorder everywhere.
