The pouches are a little deep since most of them were made for yuge Galil 35 rounders

I love SVDs to death but if you need a big boolet semiauto for practical purposes you can buy better stuff for less nowadays. (an exception would be the tigr in 9,3x64 which was the cheapest 9 brenneke semiauto at the time here) It's all good to me tho since I regard rule of cool above almost everything else.

for sure. You also have to think outside the box and try to search stuff like "M 1 4" or other kinds of misspelling as boomers often, despite what they say, don't know what they got. Take my soviet SVD, the boomer who listed it listed it as a "dragonof" or something similar so it wen't unnoticed for at least 3 years at which point I found it and managed to buy it for 1900€ (fair price would've been 3.5-4k in 2022)
It's too bad I don't have the money now because there is a nice bm59 para for 1500€ listed under "FAL (fucile automatico leggero which is how we called it) instead of the proper name.

FAL bros, where can I get a bipod for this mf? I would, of course, prefer an original one, but an aftermarket one would be fine. Barrel clamp knockoffs are ok too, but only as a last resort. It's a metric patern Imbel SAR 48 in case that matters.

FAL are built with a bipod cut or no bipod cut. Find out what you have first. You can also buy an Mlok handguard then attach a bipod to it as an option.

Neither was I going to but it came with the gun and I figured I had to test if it worked if I wanted to sell it. It's useless because the casing will hit the scope body and fall back into the action upon ejection. Maybe if you used it as a single shot sans mag it would work.

How do I quit drinking alcohol bros
>>
>>61464544
Spend all your money on ammo.
Can't buy alcohol if you don't have money.
>>
>>61464544
keep busy. Find a life outside of drinking. Eventually you'll find that drinking just isn't fun anymore. My ah-ha moment came in my late 20s. When going out and drinking is your hobby life gets hard and empty. The recovery period went from half a day to Two or three days. Eventually I found working with my hand ( redoing antiques) and most of all spending time with my nieces and nephews was more enjoyable.

tl:dr get a hobby and find something better than drinking (ie family)
>>
>>61464544
Dont do alcohol when being alone, always have soft drink at home just in case you want something to enjoy. Also keep alc out of the house if you cant control yourself, good luck Anon

Yeah, I heard the triggers were supposed to be heavy so I was pretty surprised when I was able to test mine. I didn't disassemble the lower but I did take a peak after removing it from the upper and from what I can tell its all milsurp parts used. The threaded hole in the trigger for the overtravel stop setscrew is painted red and looks professionally done. Guess I lucked out when I bought this rifle.

Find something you care about more than drinking. Also don't wait for "rock bottom" because it doesn't exist. Things will always get worse if you wait for it. For me it took getting medically separated from the military and moving back in with my family. I didn't want to be a violent drunk around my family or die in front of them so I was forced to stop.

Your reason doesn't have to be that large. Could be as simple as committing to exercise every morning because its really difficult to workout after a bender.

You would have a hard time finding a long Norinco M14 on the Czech market anyway. Very few vendors have the M305B shorty in stock, but regular 305s only pop up from time to time in classifieds. There are some OG M14s, but those are usually pricey and beat up at the same time... Plenty of BM-59s on the market though, and for less than 1000 EUR even for the Alpini folders. Complementary bayonets for 100 EUR.

They are semi converted, but yeah. Even the BM-59 are "class A-I", but there are some spanish G3s we have at home (CETME C) and swiss boat anchors (Stgw-57) in the "B" category for a nice price at zelenysport dot cz. The owner is an insufferable russian shill (which doesn't stop him from selling body armor and helmets to Ukraine), but they often have interesting shit for a nice price.

Alcoholism isn't a switch, but a life long process. It's very rare to go drink one night for the first time and die from alcohol poisoning. All the Alcoholics I've met were well into their late 30's. Most don't live to see 50.

>Stop being so condescending and show some heart, it's not a competition in cold bloodeness
I'm just saying, that if you went out more, you'd meet more people from all walks of life. Some people tend to have self destructive vices. You've probably met them but didn't bother to remember them at a passing glance. You were fine, until you brought up church as a reason why you were a "good person". I F'd off for the rest of the day after I made my "we're both bad" post because at that point it's just arguing semantics and trying to one up each other.

You stayed, argued with other anons and dug the hole deeper. We're both humans, I assume and humans are flawed by design. What did Jesus say, "No one goes to the father except through me, fore I am the way and the light". You just dont ask strangers what's wrong in their lives like a high school girl eager for gossip. Stick around and eventually anons vent their feelings without needing to be asked.

Write Lübe a mail for one of these triggers if you want one imported, the same goes for WIDE HANDGUARDS, FURNITURE and other shit you just can't find anywhere else.

Lübeanon, widely renowned for providing the best lube around for /k/commandos by far, stepped up and offered to just proxybuy and ship them through Korbo's LLC in Arizona, he was offered an extra cut for his services but refused and preferred to do it for free. Buy some of his lube or rust protection if you need a refill though.

This is really something you need to verify on a case-by-case basis. Theoretically, sure, but I have seen discussion regarding a batch or Argentinian barrels imported 20yrs ago that had off-center bores

I saw your post in the last thread about buying the NDM, if you don't mind me asking, how is the procedure like when buying an used gun in europe? Did you buy from a store or from a private citizen? I heard that in some EU countries you can't even buy guns unless it's from a licensed dealer

>if you don't mind me asking, how is the procedure like when buying an used gun in europe?
I can't speak of other countries since they have different laws, but here in italy if both have a gun license it's just a matter of meeting up with the guy, giving him his money or whatever and taking the gun. you'll either write down or fill in a precompilated form and give it to the coppers when registering the gun afterwards.
>Did you buy from a store or from a private citizen?
A guy. If a store had gotten their hands on it I would've had to pay double at the least.
>>
>>61485174
Well, DSA sold those off-center Argie barrels, do you know for certain when your DSA rifle was built? You should probably get a suppressor alignment rod regardless and confirm alignment before firing. It's far cheaper than replacing a damaged suppressor. If it turns out your barrel is not concentrically threaded, just send it off to DSA or ARS to be corrected.

>5 days.
It's a good time to buy a Silencer. I've been saving up my money for the B&T Rotex K for my 5.56. $-700 for a nice flow through Silencer for 1 rifle is something I can deal with. Surefire Silencers are like $1400+ and they still get baffle strikes, they still have problems, they can still get clogged with carbon and its positives are theoretical at best since no one can agree how much better it is.

>Why do you people do this? Just design for Magpullovers.
It was a joke anon. The RFB was designed around FAL mags because they were cheap and plentiful during the designing of the rifle, then like 2 years after the piece of shit came out all the mag sources dried up. Same is happening with G3 mags now. Hence the joke.

I just discovered someone is putting out an StG-44 repro. Do I stay the course and buy the Zastava M77 ive been saving for or get yet another intermediate caliber gun? Anyone know if the HMG StG-N is hot garbage or any good? For $1800 it better fucking be.
>>
>>61494123
>I just discovered someone is putting out an StG-44 repro.
Will Palmetto even have a good functioning STG 44? The Z M77 is a quality rifle, proven by multiple owners here on /brg/ and with many people on jewtube. This is where I'm obligated to say that if you already have an AK type rifle, get the StG 44, if not get the M77.
>>
>>61494372
Oh it's PSA? Nah I'll pass on it and get my M77. I already have a PSA intermediate rifle and one is enough.
>>
>>61494409
>Oh it's PSA?
Grugg, do you come out of your cave once every two years? Palmetto is the premier imitation gun maker next to the entire country of Turkey. PSA makes neat things for people that don't shoot or depend on their rifles. From what I've seen on youtube, PSA products tend to die around 4,000 - 8,000 rounds. Not bad if you just want a range toy novelty item.

Late as fuck in the thread so maybe will repost it next thread, but some rando did a fairly extensive review on the wlvrn in 308:
tldw:
- Has DT fixed QC issues now? LOL NO (drops mags all day erryday)
- Accuracy genuinely seems improved though even with shitty bench and ammo
- still stove pipes despite dumping FE wtf
- light weight and good ergos still real tho
- DID NO ONE FUCKING TEST THIS RIFLE LIKE ACTUALLY HOLDING ACTUAL MAGAZINES?

ah well
>>
>>61495043
That guy is literally me.
I love videos like this where average people test and use guns, documenting their process. It makes the data more reliable when you use it as a reference.
>>
308
>>
>>61495043
Just started watching the video so I don't know if it's been said, but did the guy play with the gas settings? Stove pipes might be a sign the gun is undergased. As for the mags dropping loose, I haven't seen him use metal SR 25 mags, just Pmags and Promags.
>>
>>61495043
Wlvrn anon from earlier. Havnt had any issues with my mags falling out. I have had stove piping due to what I assume is overgassing. I feel like they didn't get their sizes right with the gas plug. I am currently using mine on the 2nd lowest setting with a Huxwrx EL-QD suppressor. And if I go higher I seem to run into stove piping, or even this weird issue where the empty casing will turn 180 on the chamber. And that was happening on the normal and one setting below that. I think it has to do with how big the opening of the ejection port is and if the bolt runs too fast, the casing cannot eject out fast enough. Next time I take it to the range I need to try it without the cover. Best 5rd ground was about 1.3 moa.

Anon ponder this as well

This is a 3000 dollar gun, very few people are going to actually buy this and yet somehow they send out near lemons. There should be no reason these weapons are lovingly handled and checked before going out, there's no way they sold even 10,000 MDRXs over the course of its run

Either it's time for DT to give up this design or just plain give up trying to make a gas gun because it's clear they cannot make a reliable weapon after nearly 10 years and that reputation sticks
