When i think of carbine i think of some semi-auto smaller gun for civilians like a ruger.

While it does change the operating system from direct impingement to a short stroke gas piston, it's essentially the same in other aspects including appearance.The SIG 552 is a derivative of the SIG 550.The same can be said about the M4 and M16.You should include the AR-18. While the G36 uses very similar internals as the AR-18, it's enough of a derivative to warrant being considered a different platform.You should add the HK-33 as well.
