Interesting concept. A USV on wheels that can launch smaller USVs.
>At Sea Air Space 2024, Louisiana-based boat builder Metal Shark has unveiled "Prowler," an autonomous, amphibious, semi-submersible USV and "Frenzy," a high-performance, low-cost, amphibious micro-USV with a payload carrying capacity of up to 14 lbs.

I have to stay apprised of autonomy happenings for work, so it's no big deal to make a thread. Drones and naval things tend not to get much attention here.

Oh hey you must be the previous anon that I spoke with regarding flying drone efficiency.

Maybe this is a dumb question but what can a 14lb payload even do to a modern battleship

Something that small would be carrying sensors only, unless they have magic I don't know about. Or if they anticipate targeting tiny attack vessels with outboard motors.

This seems like a total meme.

Why? The execution is open to plenty of criticism, but the overall concept of an unmanned amphib is reasonable. Hitch it to any APC or truck, shove off from any boat slip. No extra equipment or extra steps.
>>
I should at least get a webm done for the main clip. One sec.

The smolboi is called Frenzy btw.
