russian Su-25 flies near ukrainian drone
>>
>>61491860
>loadout: rocket pods and fuel tanks
>those ziggas are still doing unguided rocket pitch-up attacks with jets in the year of our Lord 2024
>>
>>61491860
How the fuck did that thing not ge swatted out of the sky by the jetwash/wing turbulence? One hell of a kino shot anyway
>>
If it hit the drone, would the plane have been damaged?
>>
>>61491903
Depends on the size of the drone, but unless it entered an engine, probably not much, fighter jets hit large birds all the time without major issues.
>>
>>61491860
fake
>>
>>61491903
its not gonna improve the overall condition of the plane, but i doubt it would have any catastrophic effects
>>
>>61491889
Those cameras on DJIs have a pretty wide angle on them so the plane was still probably +20ft away from it even though it looks way closer. Another thing is those drones have AI assisted stabilization for windy weather so that probably helped
keep it from making a lethal tilt that would have dropped it out of the sky.
>>
>>61491860
this is fake
>>
>>61491933
>>61491913
How, and more importantly why, would you fake this?
>>
cool shot
>>
>>61491860
This seems fake
>both birds stay at the exact same angle the entire flight duration
>no control surface movements
>exhaust plume does not change in any way, it's a consistent angle and density
>the drone would have been launched by that enginewash
>heatblur is really odd but could be shit compression
t. prior chairforce
>>61491917
wrong, in the supposed 'warning' it shows 0.5m, there's 0 chance it would survive it.
I've seen DJIs drop from f16 wash 40ft behind the bird
>>61491903
if it went into the intake it'd prob fuck the turbine a bit. at the minimum requiring it to be pulled and inspected fully
>>61491954
we've seen a ton of fakes of even benign shit in this looneytoons war from ukies and ziggers so who knows.
>>
>>61491860
Mount a pair of NAVAIR Spikes on a drone and at that range those aircraft would at the very least be damaged.
>>
>>61491985
>t. prior chairforce
I was air force too and I know jack shit about anything other than my ELINT training. Were you a pilot? That'd be the only air force person who has credibility.
>>
>>61492003
Tbh anyone who spent all their time working on and watching fighter jets could have a fair idea about it
t. not him but ground monkey in a euro airforce
>>
Another nato /k/ope thread lol. While the front is collapsing with lightning speed, Russian army advances every day, you celebrate what? Drone taking picture of Russian jet. This is what 60 billion buys I guess, this and new mansion for zelensky in Hollywood lol. Keep killing 60 year old and 16 year old on senseless defense while also draining already empty western supply. What does it do? Nothing, Russia marches on. And soon your precious pride parade and nazi regime will be of history.
>>
>61492045

trying wayyyy too hard
>>
>>61492003
was a 3d1x2 scif monkey but was around the vipers a lot before we swapped to mq9s.
There's 0 chance that drone would be stable after a 1.5ft distance of 2 engine's worth of wash, period.
Don't need to be a pilot to use your braincells nigga, you're telling me you need to be a pilot to know if a drone would be more affected when the ge100 can push a fucking car?
>>
>>61492045
kek, but you need to work on your bait to make anyone fall for it.
>>
>>61492045
>every day
It's been three years, anon. It supposed to be three days.
>>
>>61492045
I am demoralized
>>
>>61491917
>Those cameras on DJIs have a pretty wide angle on them so the plane was still probably +20ft away from it even though it looks way closer.

The video was probably taken with large zoom which means that the drone was 100+ feet in front of the plane when it exited the field of vision.
>>
>>61491860
So close, Ivan could have sucked it into his jet engine.
>>
>>61492086
once again, incorrect. Even the flashing 'warning' says 0.5m.
>>
>>61491903
It would be extremely painful

A lot of mundane stuff is actually AI now.

Getting a 3d asset of a frogfoot, animating it to fly by and matching the motion tracking in adobe premiere is something you can do in an afternoon with youtube tutorials.

Jet aircraft have a very strong wake and jetwash from the engines. If it flew that close to a drone it would be sent tumbling out of control. The drone doesn't even shake. They just took a preexisting video where the drone pans from one direction to another and added in the Su-25.

Good afternoon, Sir.
>>
How did the ukie AD get so shit so quickly? They were shooting down jets left and right a couple of months ago but now Ruski shitbox SU25's are bombing them with impunity. Were they bullshitting us the entire time?
>>
>>61491860
Drone operator was a couple feet away from becoming a national hero taking out an SU-25 with a $200 drone.
>>
>>61493321
Ran out of missiles.Westoids were making fun of Russian "terror bombing", but now we can see it had the effect of forcing the Ukrops to waste their AD missiles defending civilians.
If it was Russia in their situation they would simply tank the civilian casualties and fuck up the enemies air.
>>
>>61491903
If Mr. Seagull can take jets down by kamikazeing into them I'm sure a drone can as well.

It’s AI you faggot.
>>61493155
It’s a GPS assisted algorithm that keeps the drone in one spot and stable when without human input you faggot. It’s a simple AI.
>>
>>61492100
I’ve had my drone flash that warning when nothing is around it except for a shadow so I don’t find it to be definitive proof of anything.
>>
>>61493225
The drone does shake, but you have to remember that the camera is mounted on a steadycam gimbal, and it's probably zoomed in making the jet seem closer than it really is.
>>
>>61491860
what happens if then drone gets into the engine? or just collides?

That's not AI. Every computer program ever written is an algorithm.
>>
>>61494166
If it hit the propellor it would probably also fall out of the sky.
But yes haha funny.
>>
>>61494105
He's retarded, and what makes matters worse is its only going to get worse as these retards start attributing god tier code (magic to them) to AI, instead of just good coding working on steps and logic.
Heaven forbid they think a complex program that looks like it can think could be anything but fucking thinking and trained AI code instead of just cleverly designed.

99% of all online code is not AI, this even used to include image recognition until fairly recently and even so algorithms, not AI are still used in older fruit sorters.
100% of all drone code has nothing to do with AI, image recognition is perhaps the only thing really nowadays in the odd one or two, but they've been doing that since before AI's really existed by using complex algoritms to detect faces using lines, dots and references instead, so it's not even a given.

Either way, yes, AI is slowly taking over a lot of industries, but realistically the only thing we'll see in the short term militarily will be image recognition and perhaps walking/driving/shooting. We might see battlefield analysis eventually too but that's a while off due to lack of data.
>>
at least animate your plane model at the same framerate as the source video

Goddamn fucking idiots. AIs run on algorithms you fucking morons. Goddamn humans use algorithms to make decisions. What makes it an AI is that it can act “intelligently” which basically just means it can incorporate new data into its algorithm or combine existing algorithms. Fucking subhuman retards. A drone that is flying and taking in external data to remain stable in a turbulent environment, avoid collisions, etc… is acting “intelligently.”

I would like this guy more if he was actually neutral on the reporting. With all the pro-Ukrainian channels it would be nice to have someone who could be real about losses/gains. I think Willy is the closest to that. We don't need more "OMG LE ENTIRE FRONTLINE HAS PROLAPSED" thumbnail shit.
>>
>>61491860
Why doesn't the drone shake? Looks like some video game shit.

Apparently there's a longer version of the video. I'm still not convinced it's real, but this one shows that the camera isn't zoomed in at all.

> These disciplines involve the development of AI algorithms, modeled after the decision-making processes of the human brain, that can ‘learn’ from available data and make increasingly more accurate classifications or predictions over time.
From IBM.
Damn, looks like you fucking idiots are exactly what I always knew you were, retarded.
>>
>>61495325
It's fake. I'm fully convinced now. If you go frame by frame, you can see where they swap out an actual plane for the model. I'm sure there were actual planes around, but the one headed toward the camera is fake.

Its fake as fuck and painfully obvious if you spend more than 2 seconds looking at it or aren't a phoneposting fag. Its a static model. The lighting doesn't match the scene. There are no artifacts you would expect from a high speed object passing by a digital camera like motion blur or distortion from rolling shutting. In fact the stupid thing is in focus the whole time.
>>
>>61491903
If it had a trip grenade on it yes.
