Is Keltec KSG a reliable shotgun?
>>61581020I haven't heard of anyone complaining about reliability, not that a pump action should be challenging. I would be pretty worried about having my hand so near the business end though if you pumped a little too hard and slipped unless it had a suppressor on it.
>>61581020at slipping and blowing your hand off
>>61581020They are good. Never seen any or had any issues. People do tend to hate keltec cause they are cheap, but from my personal experience I've only had good times. Also why ask on this fucking Fudd ridden Ukraine dicksucking board? People here are fucking retarded.
>>61581020The KSG's main complaint is people short stroke it due to how hard it is to unlock and lock when pumped. It's because it has two tubes to unlock and relock so it needs double the force. This was addressed in the KS7 and it's reportedly much easier to pump, thus less likely to short stroke. The M&P12 is the perfected version of the concept, though imo is ugly and too expensive for a shotgun. It has controls in better places and other features that I forgot about. I haven't looked into these guns in years but look up some reviews on the M&P12 as well and you'll see it's got some advantages.
>>61581020mines fine, no issuesmine came with a foregrip too, so its super easy to use
>>61581043>>61581034>the hand go away gunWhy not simply attach a grip? Not OP but I have had my eye on one of these for a while.
>>61581020Every Kel Tec gunis reliableWhen True Americans think /K/el-tec They think Reliability
You can get a ks7 for dirt cheap. They sexy too.
Should i get a p50 bros?>>61581170
I wouldn't trust it. The feed and eject mechanism share the same port and doesn't inspire confidence in its ability to not jam. Theres also the complaint that the selector knob works itself out because keltec refuses to loctite them. Keltec has QC barely above PSA.Nifty shotgun, just needs a better manufacturer>>61581144The forend is known for cracking and breaking away with a grip attached, blowing away the users hand when firing rapidly
>>61581020Looks as reliable as some thing made in china sold in Walmart
>>61581263>The feed and eject mechanism share the same port and doesn't inspire confidence in its ability to not jamyeah, just like an ithaca
>>61581375That's why it's used so widely these days
>>61581523>shitting on the ithaca
>>61581020>Is KeltecYes.
>>61581541If it's not semi auto it's gay
>>61581144>the hand go away gunOther SBS has the users hands just as close to the muzzle so I don't understand what makes the KSG unique like this
>>61581609>>61581609Pump forward, foreend breaks, handle flies in front of muzzle as you pull trigger. No more hand.
>>61581020Yeah I have 2
>>61581020Failure to extract caused you to end up with a shell on the ramp legs blocked by the spent one in the chamber. This is tricky and time-consuming to clear, and FTE seems to happen more often than with other shotguns. It seems picky about ammunition in a way manually operated guns usually aren't (possibly due to differences in shell crimp making extraction easier or more difficult). It's a really neat gun, but this problem has come up nearly every time I've used one.
>>61581561post your turkish shotguni wanna laugh
>>61581843Based on anons in the thread, the clerk at my LGS pretty much nailed it>awesome gun for the range>not so much for anything else >save your money and get a 590
I found that I had to pump mine significantly harder than my other shotguns to get it to eject properly.Other than that, it's ran fine.
>>61581793you talking about with a vfg?
>>61581890I've noticed this as well, seemed to need to run it slippery wet with lube to alleviate
>>61581949Yes, from what I recall.https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/04/10/another-ksg-hand-accidentnegligent-discharge-with-injury/
>>61581851Stoeger is LITERALLY Benelli parts!!!
Is the KS7 at all good? I like the idea of it, but I'd heard the build quality is shit and some have feeding issues
>>61581867As a follow-up on the earlier comment about crimp types, it seems like roll-crimped like pic-related seemed to work fine every time I've tried them. Most non-slug shells are star-crimped, though, and that seems to produce mixed results.
>>61581226if it's a keltec then the answer is yes because it will probably be regulated or illegal laterthey make reliable guns, they're just ugly and require more grip
>>61582066>Is the KS7 at all good? >cheap ambi bullpup shotfun that looks like a halo gunYeah>I'd heard the build quality is shitNah it's just plastic and weird so it feels that way>some have feeding issuesMaybe if you're using shorties but anything 2-3in is good 2 rock
>>61582386KelTecs are the opposite of ugly. At least they try something new and exciting instead of shitting out AR and glock clones all day
>>61581144the few times that happened it happened with a grip breaking and second grip was an angled grip with no real checkering to hold it easilyboth men lost their offhand
>>61582386>because it will probably be regulated or illegal laterwut
My brother's got one, it's a massive piece of shit thanks to KelTec quality control. It breaks literally every time I go to the range with him. Pretty sure everyone itt who says theirs works great is a god damn liar.
>>61582559>works on my machine ;^)
>>61581020In the event that you purchase one, be sure to buy this little shell deflector add on, your wrist will thank you
I shouldn't want it. It's stupid big and impractical as hell. But...
>>61581020I enjoy mine, it is my home defense gun :)Magpul VFGI ended up way overpaying for it, but it's really nice especially in the suburbs of california. I like the way it takes down, and the rail.if you end up buying one, I'd reccomend this setup for a light, sling, and optic:Romeo 5.Streamlight (the small scout footprint one)Arisaka 45 degree offset scout mountMS1 sling (but whatever works, this one fits nice into the sling mounts.)If anyone would like a picture, please let me know.Basically my main gripe is that some ammos that should fit 7, only fit 6.
>>61581226No, it seems really stupid and 5.7 is kinda expensive
>>61581043oh look, another underaged noguns poster who thinks it's a guns fault if you purposely pull the trigger while your hand is in front of the muzzle yeah, it broke, but the dude stopped and saw and thought "hmmm, the muzzle of this loaded gun is pointed directly at my hand, I should probably pull the trigger to shoot my hand anyway"
