Here's why Africa could never evolve in one picture

Humanity had to migrate far away from it's natural predator to prosper.
>>

I've heard that Sickle cell anemia developed as a counter against malaria parasites.
>>
>>61585849
It's true. Africans actually have some pretty robust genetic resistance to several disease that regularly put Euros and Asians in the grave; it's a big part of the reason Africans made ideal slaves in the new world - the didn't die off from disease nearly as much as the Natives did

being homozygous for this allele, leads to the disease, sickle cell anemia. having sickle cell trait, being heterozygous, is better but they still have to avoid exertion and contact sports at high altitude. even Denver is too high and some football players can't play there
there are other counter adaptations to malaria such a thalassemia
>>
I live in Australia.
>>
>>61585588
I'm a Canadian, so yeah. I've had to stay late after school when I was a kid because bears would wander onto the school grounds and animal control would have to come tranq it. And I literally live in the capital.

These Capercaillies are so fucking retarded it's absurd.
When they're 'roided out of their minds on hormones during mating season the males will pick a fight with literally anything that crosses their path, that includes cars, large predators, females, bushes, etc.
You can boot the fuck out of them and they just come back to fuck around. These truly mongoloid birds just don't learn.
Meanwhile the females are just as fearless, except they'll actively try to get fucked by anything and everything. This deviant behavior extends so far as to the females sauntering up to random humans and presenting themselves.
They're just as difficult to dissuade as the males. By which I mean that they too will just return and try again, following a firm booting.
It's a miracle that these big feathered retards haven't driven themselves extinct yet.
They do however make for good eating, which leads to further questions as to how they're not extinct.

Highly amusing suggestion.
>>
>>61585804
Africa could never evolve because elephants destroyed so much crop land that they could never be in enough of a caloric surplus to facilitate evolving higher brain function
>>
>>61585588
Yes. I got wolves, bears, cougars, moose.
>>
>>61588594

could be a catch-22. There were enormous and terrifying gigafauna and general invasive/destructive species in North America and every other continent that certainly would have prohibited the same activities, but everyone else figured it out.

Me and my little brother used to catch them in the rivers, creeks and bayous in Texas and Louisiana. I would stand on the banks and overlook the work and he would be in the soup digging around for them. We made a great team.

I worked as a petroleum engineer for
Hunt in Angola for a couple years in month on/month off shifts. Every time we were going to fly back over, they made sure to warn us that if we ever felt sick or developed a fever we were to go to the doctor immediately, because it could be cerebral malaria and if it is and you leave it you'll be dead in 24 hours. The job was cool but fuck that noise.
