theres a lot of competition for 22lr pistols.
I got a TX22 Competition early this year and have really massively enjoyed it. they now have 25 round magazines, comes optics and suppressor ready and the trigger is quite good.
the Ruger mkIV and Browning Buckmark are really excellent too, but I wanted something more shaped like a normal pistol. I've shot model 41s a lot too, and the are delightful.

I have a Mk 3 22/45 with the bull barrel and it's my favorite gun to just target shoot with, I love it.
Takedown and cleaning is a huge son of a bitch but I hear they fixed that with the Mk 4

Ruger is based. I bought a 25yo Mark II from a private seller for $200 a few years ago. After I got it home and detailed stripped it I found a cracked weld in the recoil lug. Called Ruger and a nice lady said "oh, must have been a manufacturing defect" and sent me a Fedex label. A week later I have my gun back with an entirely new lower and a bunch of other new parts.

Is the ANYTHING more fucking pathetic than when OP has to samefag his own thread to try to make it relevant?

ESPECIALLY when it's the first 2 replies?

>step 1: potentially fuck up your optic zero because you HAVE TO remove the rail
wtf lol

no

I have a Mark IV and a Buck Mark. Neither need a full field strip more than once a year. I use the fishing line method to pull a patch thru after every shooting and have never had an issue.

Yeah I am sure everything is fine if you put 1 mag through it a year it can go a long time without being cleaned.
>>
>>61880400
Shit, I've put 400 rounds at the range 4 months ago, and never cleaned it.
Damn, guess I forgot.

My buckmark has been fantastic but you can't go wrong with either. My buckmark only cost $299 though, so, if cost is a factor there you go.
