That’s not NT7

It’s NP3’d PX4 I just bought, I think it was a Langdon Tactical employee gun because they’ve never offered NP3 slides as custom gun work + the gun is from Arizona.
>>
>>61928560
Oh I thought you got it from Wright Armory. Is it noticeably smoother or just a meme? Most NP3 has felt the same as DLC to me but maybe there's less wear since supposedly there's teflon infused at least in NT7+

Any suggestions for a dry box? Something that can fit a Glock 17 or similar and floats with it inside
>>
>>61928578
It's quite literally the easiest pistol to take apart and put back together.
>>
>>61928595
Go look at 3d printing dry boxes. Basically you need to use foam or something to make sure there's a seal. Use color changing desiccant so you know when to change it. Keep in mind if you're taking the lid off a bunch you won't keep it dry for very long.
>>
>>61928574
I think no not really. It looks cool though. I keep my PX4 wet though, a dry one there probably is a difference

Is there anything gayer than the whole "gray man" concept that makes people buy 5.11 shirts for $60 and shit that instantly outs them as carrying?

They’re out of stock and the only one for sale is 30 dollars on eBay

I bought some dykes to make one myself but quite frankly I hate the USP.

>>61928755
I think the reverse is much more gay, as there is functionality in modern shit. Imagine someone buying early 1900s pocket pistols and inventing all sorts of theories on how they’re better than modern pistols and also is allegric to any sort of modern holster so they buy 5 dollar desantis sticky holsters to carry. No belt clip, they just wedge it in their waist band.
>>
>>61928782
That's funny because the gay man actually calls himself a gray man

Granted I don't have the official (made in chiner) tool cause I made my own out of an old rusty set of thinbois, but this thing doesn't make it easy! It just makes it not-impossible lol

Even with the tool, putting in an HK TRS may possibly be the very hardest piece of "simple" maintenance you could have to do for a pistol. Even reassembling a CZ decocker cage comes second.

Gray man was turned into meaningless bullshit, just like everything that retards get their grimy little hands on. Gray man is just supposed to be someone that is indistinguishable from everyone else around them.
>>
>>61928843
Is it really that hard, Burt? I installed a match trigger spring into my VP9 last weekend (my Match slide/barrel is just that, and I use it on my Tactical frame, which is why it didn't already have a match spring). I found the job to be EZPZ and I'm by no means handy or even have a proper work space. Maybe the USP is especially difficult? Idk, I got the USP trigger set and I plan to install it soon, but before I do I want to get more time in on the stock trigger just for my own experience.

Also the match trigger spring is real nice!
>>
>>61928886

>>61928755
The gay man concept is much better. Dress like a fag and act like one and no one will think you're carrying. I've been doing this ever since I slept with a man.
>>
>>61928755
Currently, no. The tacticool shit is a dead giveaway to anyone who knows. The concept of someone who doesn't stand out makes sense, but all you need to do is buy normal clothes and conceal a gun under them.

>>
>>61928906
Looks like the VP9 has a different spring arrangement, ya it's pretty hard on the USP! Beretta 92s and CZ75s use the same type of spring but they go in easier, especially Beretta is pretty easy. HK you have to fight both ends of the spring against two different surfaces, while holding the trigger in place against the spring, while also pushing in the trigger pin. One of the spring legs constantly moves out of position when you apply tension so you have to start over again and again

Everything else about a USP is very easy,m just that spring is super nasty.

Why is the beretta decocker kit so much more expensive on their website vs other sites?
>67 dollars on baretta's site
>55 dollars listed price, on sale for 49 on midway
Both have the same manufacturer number so they should be the same. One says m9, the other says 92FS, 96 FS - but as far as I can tell they should be the same exact thing.
>>
>>61929064
I think it’s even cheaper on LTT’s site.

The Beretta USA website has high list prices so when they do massive sales like 20-30% or more off, I think it was 40% they don’t lose out that much. You’ll find resellers who buy from Beretta USA’s sales reselling on eBay for below beretta’s “MSRP”

You want the M9A3 decocker, not the earlier style which I’m pretty sure they don’t actually sell

Adding to this, turns out there are PFDs with MOLLE panels because of course there would be. (NRS rapid responder PFD). It’s a okay sighting system if you’re only shooting silhouettes but so could just point shooting. It’s a solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist. The problem with it is that once you get a SAS slide you’re stuck with it, you’d have to buy a new slide for real sights.

A compact red dot would be better

The Phoenix was for my mp5. I got an adapter so that my p30 could be fitted with tri lug stuff. I've tried using 147gr subsonic, and 115gr, but neither cycle. They're plenty accurate just not enough gas to kick the slide back. I'm not fussed, since it's not even built for the p30, it's a perk I can even Solid Snake it.

Normies don't even notice open carried firearms half of the time. As long as you don't stick out, like you said, no one will be the wiser. Even printing is overblown in discussions. Backstrap come loose? Don't have a M1, but had a friend who did. The backstrap coming loose supposedly disabled the trigger?
>>
>>61933989
No, it was a failure to extract, followed by a failure to feed where the golden saber hollowpoint i was testing went perpendicular to the chamber instead of straight in.

Im wondering if the lip of the hollowpoint bullet got caught on that split feed ramp.

The other malf was actually a failure to fire on a winchester white box. So actually that wasnt the pps' fault

Ive never had a problem with the backstrap issue. I picked the one i liked and i havent taken it off since. I think the problem is overblown desu
>>
>>61933839
Look for police trade ins. AIM Surplus has some trade in glocks. $300 gets you a Glock 23 gen 4, which is solid if in an expensive caliber. For the same money could also get a S&W M&P in .45acp.
>>
>>61932934
It'd probably do Sig a lot of good if they made a full-size "P365 XDuty" and memory-holed the rest of the P320 line the same way.

Problem with the M1 could very well be overblown. I'm no expert there.

Winchester white box is dog shit tier ammo. Can't blame any gun for issues with it. I've had to mortar ARs to get winchester out.

Right. Add in a new extractor and trigger housing for an ejector and you're way up in cost. Might as well get a new 19. On the other hand a police trade in 23 will work, only downside is the ammo costs more and there's a little less capacity.

Taking the backstrap off disables the pistol for safe storage/cleaning

The back strap comes off by pushing in the little tab above my ring finger and sliding it out. And then to put it back in, you slide that little nub in the center into a hole in the grip at an angle, and snap it back into place.

That little nub is just plastic. It could shear off. And all of this is held place with that weak locking tab. Which theoretically could come loose and disable the trigger

So i just leave it alone, and dry fire to drop the striker if i need to strip it. I think it's fine.

I'm better off buying a non-optics ready gun and sending it to get cut than dealing with dogshit plates aren't I? Cost isn't really a concern, although it does seem that most of the time I actually come out ahead in terms of cost doing it this way.
>>
>>61934388
There's nothing inherently wrong with plates as a concept—all the Berettas with optics you see posted here are using one plate system or another—the issue is just that Glock plates specifically are so bad that buying an MOS gun is ~$100 over a non-MOS plus $75 for a FCD plate that actually holds the optic onto the gun properly, which for a lot of people is worse value than just buying a non-MOS Glock and having it cut for their RMR footprint optic.
>>
>>61934388
The fewer points of failure, the better. Unless you plan on trying multiple different footprints/optics, just get it milled for the dot you plan to use.

It's Walther's Babby's First 25m Pistol. It's not bad, it's essentially very cheaply engineered to increase accuracy by fixing the barrel and sights to a receiver instead of using a traditional slide. The M2 has a partially adjustable trigger; you can set how far back it breaks within a small window of adjustment. 200 erobux sounds like a pretty excellent price to me if you want to dip your toes in bullseye shooting. It is accurate and has a good trigger, once you learn it as the trigger on my unit at least is unique.

My complaints would be the grip, not very comfortable, the trigger has too little differential between takeup weight and break weight (it's only a few ounces from wall to break, very easy to blow through), and the front sight is VERY coarse, it's massive even on it's smallest setting (you can rotate it to change widths). It also uses P22 magazine bodies but Walther intentionally redesigned the base plate so they will not fit which is frustrating, forcing you to buy SP22 mags.

I can't rack a Security 9 or operate the various levers and buttons. I havent been able to on any 9mm Ive tried. Havent tried a S&W M&P EZ yet tho, but I really hate that that gun has a grip safety.
I suffered a hand injury and now have arthritis of the basal joints (mostly right but also left). Basically there's no cushioning between my bones, and bone on bone rubbing is extremely painful. This also causes bone spurs to slowly form which are their own kind of pain.
pic related is the bone I will likely need to have removed to hopefully reduce the amount of pain I experience by reducing the amount bones rub against each other.
Im hoping a .380 will be doable

The Bobcat I have is great because it has a tip up barrel, but its only a 22. I really want the Tomcat, 32 ACP version. But thats less powerful than 380 and theyre also a bit out of my price range.

DA revolvers usually work out well for me, thus thinking of the RIA M200.

I didn't injure myself using a gun, I injured myself disassembling a gearbox for an electric motor.

Basically using my thumb pretty much at all hurts. I can barely operate zippers, turn my car ignition, hurts to operate the dials of a faucet. All these things involve using a thumb. In fact seems most things done with the hands involve using thumbs.

Its part of the reason Im leaning towards a DA revolver. The trigger pull is not that hard for me. tip up barrels work too, like that Girsan one in 380.

But hoping I can find an actual semi auto that I can spend a day at the range without being in extreme pain

Any rimfire gun should be checked for dry-fire damage. Even though many old and new are designed in such a way that they can safely be dry-fired, damage or wear to certain components can still allow it to happen. If it's happening to a gun designed to prevent it, then it's an indicator of other problems. A chamber iron can correct a surprising amount of this peening, and for many guns replacement parts may be accessible and affordable, so don't take it as a fuck-huge red flag or anything.

If you fire it two handed be VERY CAREFUL where your support hand thumb is! The charging handles reciprocate and they will crack your thumbnails if you are not careful!

it's europe, everything is overpriced, my walther pdp was 815€ on sale... other option for 22lr are taurus tx22 for 550€ and some s&w with the same form factor as the taurus for 750€ too... or a mark IV for 1200€.

I like it, it’s my carry gun, might as well have the full-size and compact that fit in the same holster. Might as well have a back up version of my gun just in case as like to fiddle with my guns and if I ever lose/break a part I have a back up gun. Might as well have optic and iron sight versions since the irons is much easier to conceal.

Do you like guns too?

1006 has a pretty good trigger, if you ignore the mag safety. The reset is pretty short and the pull isn't bad. IMO better than a USP

I have one too, biggest complaint is how ridiculous the cost of mags have gotten. When I picked it up you could still get them for 'only' $100 each but now they're $250+.
>>
>>61935291
try to tap it out with the dowel in the other direction
>>
>>61935385
yeah and it's a unique frame thinner so you can't even fit the 4506 mags in there

1911 10mm mags are too fat too

I think it's more economical right now to buy guns that come with spare mags. I've seen a few that come with 4 mags, that's 1000 dollars in magazines and the gun sells for like 1500
>>

>>61935291

>>
>>61935424
It's to the point where I think I might just pick up a DW Specialist for my 10mm shooting, I'm confident that 1006 could go another 10,000 rounds at least but the mags definitely won't.

And here are lil guys. I practice dry firing at the pandas on the snowboard, but I feel kinda bad since they are such cool guys, so I hung a target up on the wall next to them and use that now. Also, the grid kn the target is more helpful in observing any movements of the handguns I can reign in my control.
>>
>>61935457
>but the mags definitely won't.
The springs are the main wear component, and Sprinco are notorious for being willing to replicate any spring you submit to them, aren't they?

The floorplates might be too, I ordered a used mag from some ebay seller once and the floor plate split within the first mag I put through it. IIRC mag springs can still be had from Wolff but it's the other little proprietary small parts like the floor plate and floorplate catch assembly I'm worried about.
>>
>>61935553

>>61935293
I injured both of them, but the right is much worse. I am right handed, so I hold the gun with my right hand, and rack the slide with my left (better but still not good) hand.
Ive tried not using my thumb, so grabbing the slide between my 4 fingers and palm, and it somewhat helps. but the hand is a pretty complex setup, theres tendons that go from the index finger to the thumb for example, flexing any part of my hand generally leads to muscles around my basal joint flexing and causing pain.
So I might be able to rack a couple times and itll feel ok, but after just a couple times the pain really starts to build up and tends to last like 24 hours.
it really really sux cuz ive always used my hands to earn a living, and like literally every hobby i have involves using my hands. now i choose what bottled water to buy based on which cap is easiest to open, had to go with certain USB thumb drives cuz some were too hard to open, and yeah now my firearms purchases are affected
>>
>>61935576
Sorry about your injury, anon. I’d wager there’s still a lot of handguns you can still have fun with, though! Maybe a revolver with a nice single action could be up your alley. Just hold it with your right hand and cock it with your left hand, plus your right thumb isn’t really necessary for a proper revolver grip.

>>
>>61935483
do you like your MP5 or k better?
>>
>>61935576
I know you said strikers are out but people rack the slide using the palm of the hand against the optic (if its milled). Is that a possible solution?
>>
Is 9mm ever gonna go down on price? What can we do to help make plinking cheap again outside of 22
>>
>>61935743
NTA; people do that, but people also (justifiably) recommend against doing so routinely. Please don't treat your pistol optic as an expensive charging handle.
>>
>>61935758
with 2 current wars in the western hemisphere and many other countries gearing up for war, there is a shortage of gunpowder that makes the material cost of ammo so high. 9mm will not get cheaper than 25 cpr for brass case. I see steel and other cheaper ammo at around 22 cpr

election season is going to drive up ammo soon. I've found that to cut down how much ammo I shoot a range session, practice drawing and shooting one round. you will take much longer to empty a box. Now that requires you to be shooting a gun you have a holster for.

Oh dang, have they gone up? I still want to get the smaller one but with a tri-lug barrel. Kinda tempted to save up and get the SP5-K, since both my MP5 clones are from MKE, but I know the HK ones are worth 2.5 more. “dry fire doesn’t cause damage” is the biggest fudd lore ever
If you don’t think dry firing without snap caps will eventually cause some kind of breakage then you are the biggest nigger there ever was
You’re repeatedly releasing energy on tiny MIM parts that energy has to go somewhere. wtf do you think is going to happen
t. retard who dry fired thousands of times with my carry gun but just realized this. Nothing bad happened yet but I think it’s time to replace the parts

It's not "tiny parts" that are taking the stress though. It's that big wide front nose of the striker hitting the inside of the hardened steel slide. That's it. Barring abnormal parts breakage or owning a CZ, you should not expect damage from even tens of thousands of dry fires
