>>61975674Nah, it'd fail after things like extra heavy clothing, screen doors, non ideal shot angles, etc. if you check out hunting results on deer you'll frequently see #4 buck penetrating but not perforating major thoracic organs on broadside deer shots at reasonable(for the context) distances. It's on the bad side of marginal penetration. I'd suggest looking into it yourself if you don't believe me.

Never made any sense. #2 buckshot from a 20 gauge is devastating for defensive use and the follow up shots you can get with it are immaculate. 12 gauge really should only be used for hunting animals when a 20 gauge would fall short. The funny thing is 20 gauge slugs actually have better long range performance than 12 gauge slugs.
