Most guys run their dot canted because the chin weld reduces recoil management significantly.
It also depends on the stage.
If you don't need to switch between short and long targets then the 1x on the glass is the way to go.
For military type application LPVOs seem kind of dumb because all of them except the ATACR 1-8 are relatively fragile.
Red dot + magnifier, acog + dot, elcan + dot are all going to be better suited for hard military use since they're significantly more robust.
