>russians and allegedly adding motion detectors to their claymore mines

is this a good idea?
>>
>>62125673
Lmao yeah fantastic idea keep at it
>>
whoa the russians activated a claymore that only activates when you step in front of it?
>>
>>62125673
the point of claymore's is that you control when they go off though.

How else are you gonna keep the town burglar from stealing your TV?
>>

no it's activated by a tripwire, I've seen it on burn notice

Can't wait to see videos of mobiks getting shredded by their own mines as they go for another meatwave.
>>
>>62126344
This is the most likely scenario isn't it?
Claymore is meant for area denial /perimeter defence right? What is the idea behind slapping down explosives you have no control over if you are likely to go back and forth in close proximity to it?

And not to give 'em more ideas but wouldn't one hooked-up to a trail cam be a better problem solver if it came down to it? As in, it would relay info on movement and real-time footage which you can then use to gauge if it's time to pop the suckers or not.
>>
>>62125673
This probably won't be such a good idea since it unlike tripwires, it can be triggered by things flying i.e. birds or even larger insects or even trees or branches falling whereas a tripwire needs some more force than that.

Why would you need to wait? There's been multiple instances of this over the years
>>
>>62125706
Shut up lol
>>
>>62126447
Fucking shut up lol this is what's going to happen lol they'll go off constantly for no reason

Call of Duty

Like a zigada?
>>
>>62126480
Ah, but this time it would be en masse. Imagine a retard with 3 days of training accidentally tripping a motion sensor and getting the whole meatwave shredded just as they go over the top, and the drone operator filming it cackles over the footage.
>>
>>62126561
very sad phenomena, no way to prevent it. many such cases! send in the next wave!
sometimes i wonder if the jokes go too far, russians are human too. i feel sad for them but at the same time i hate them, i wish they'd just go home and gadaffi putin to end this.
>>
>>62126344
Wasn’t Prigozhin complaining about that before he did his thing?

the whole point of making in command detonated is so you don't leave a bunch of big angry "kill my whole squad" mines laying around to kill whoever happens upon them

regular landmines are used for area denial and usually both sides become aware of it, Claymores are like used actively, AFAIK, you don't just "forget" about your claymores

we share the same base DNA, and that's about it.. and I mean the DNA that makes sure you have 2 legs, 2 arms, and 1 head

that's where the similarities end

>>62126668
They are running out of mines or their logistics are so fucked up that they have to make do with what they have
>>
>>62126668
>the whole point of making in command detonated is so you don't leave a bunch of big angry "kill my whole squad" mines laying around to kill whoever happens upon them
Exactly, hence why I question the choice of using motion detection as the method for activation.
>>
>>62126668
>the whole point
I watched 'Tour of Duty' and this man knows his shit! He seems old, too.
>>
>>62125673
Eh, why not. Probably prone to misfires and needs the kinks ironed out but still.
Easy to clear though, just have a drone drag a rag through its field of view.
>>
>>62126616
You could probably rig a dead guy, so when they go up to steal from him or rape him, KABLUWIE!
>>
>>62126668
>the whole point of making in command detonated is so you don't leave a bunch of big angry "kill my whole squad" mines laying around to kill whoever happens upon them
It's only because Gayrapeans have no shells, and no mines too, so they have to count every fucking mine as an asset.
>>
>>62126713
I'm pretty sure you could rig a contact plate pretty easily and place the claymore somewhere else.. hotgluing a motion sensor is crazy lmao

like isn't as easy as just making 2 metal things complete a circuit? and hooking that to the fuse?
>>
>>62126781
Ok, smartass, you'll go first in the next meat assault
>>
>>62125673
sure, if you like all your mines being set off by wildlife.
>>
>>62126781
Why are you giving the enemy detailed hightech plans to our secret weapons? I say TRAITOR!

It's pretty crazy the number of explosive things made by the Soviet Union that you can screw a standard handgrenade fuse into.
Including the zero delay "boobytrap" fuses.
