>some (((people))) think surface ships are more interesting than submarines
lol
lmao, imagine being fans of targets
>>
>what are survival rates

It was pretty good for the US Navy in WW2 and it will probably be better if we go to war with China
>>
>>62143422
wouldn't it be more chad to be larger, more exposed, with bigger guns instead of hiding and scooting around like a little bitch?
>>
>>62143541
Nah nigga, in a modern hot war the roles of surface combatants are
>Aircraft carrier
>Aircraft carrier escort
Submarines by contrast get to do the naval equivalent of operator shit, working alone deep within enemy territory for weeks or months at a time.
>>
>>62143578
Newfriend, you have very, very badly misunderstood how the Chad meme is supposed to work.

>The American success came at a cost, though. In World War II, 52 US submarines were lost, with a total of 3,506 officers and enlisted men killed. The US Navy Submarine Service had the highest casualty percentage of any American forces in the War: about 20%.

Very brave and professional men who stand apart from the regular nigger depression suicide factory that is the navy. Conventional slblm will obliterate TSMC and Chinese warships in the event of an invasion. No win scenario for chinks because of our glorious submariners
>>
>>62143422
i don't trust anything i can't stick my head out of for emergency navigation
>>
>>62143768
>Weir,“In all, U.S. submarines destroyed 1,314 enemy warships in the Pacific, representing 55% of all Axis power warships lost and a total of 5.3 million tons of shipping.” The American success came at a cost, though. In World War II, 52 US submarines were lost, with a total of 3,506 officers and enlisted men killed.
A 25:1 ratio is pretty damn good

Many such cases

When

When did the presence of echoes become a guarantee that a post would be deeply unfunny and retarded? I remember when it was part of an edgy repetoir that would usually get a giggle. What happened and when? It's just fucking sad now.

Nick Fuentes and other Manlet Mexicans and niggers thinking we really hate a secretive nefarious Jew more than them. Now every half Mexican or nigger thinks they are American. I’d host an ashkenazi in my home before a beaner or nigger if forced but they don’t get this.

what is a periscope?
>>
>>62143768
that's not saying much compared to the submarine casualties of other countries in WW2

I only use the ((())) for surface “sailors”

I suppose the WW2 US sub force casualty rate is 'pretty good' relative to say a country like Germany but having the worst casualty rate amongst any force in the nation's armed services is pretty bad

because the axis did not do or could not do anti submarine warfare to the same extent the allies did.

ww2 subs of both sides were extremely vulnerable to air attacks in general until the type XXI changed the game. post ww2 subs are technically in a completely different league.

I live in a target

imagine being a fan of a pre-sunk coffin
