Last one died so it's time to fill another whole thread with my retarded questions.

Finally getting a weapon light, someone previously recommended a Surefire 640, Rein 2.0, and a Modlite PLHV2. Among these, which should I choose? Also do specific manufacturers for light switches and mounts matter in terms of quality?

Is the Desert tech bi-pod grip good?

PLHv2 single output head on a SF scout light dual fuel body. Surefire DS00 tailcap and a modbutton attached to an HRF hunchback. IWC thorntail longbar light mount. Should come out to $900 or so for all that stuff.

Grip pods have been obsolete for a while. Fun novelties, but they're the worst of both worlds in that they're generally nowhere near as stable as proper bipods and unnecessarily heavy and clunky as foregrips. If you're shooting at 400 yards and in just stick with your normal foregrip/handstop of choice and brace your rifle against something or use a bag rest.

Should I get a VP9 OR or a mossberg 590A1

Yes, turn off your air conditioner on days when the weather is bearable and open your windows, dig through your pantry for cans and pickled jars you might have forgotten exist and eat them, if you have the option to walk or bike to the grocery store safely do that once in a while instead of driving, also unplug any devices in your home that your not using currently.

Should I just buy one or two knuckledusters?

Maybe you'll see it, I hope. Springfield Sporters, former surplus store in Penn Run, PA. Owners couldn't run it anymore AFAIK and/or died and Century Arms bought them out; now Century has 90s Century import marked .410 (straightwall .303, not shotgun) Ishapore enfields for sale lol.

What exactly is the technology that Surefire is using that makes it $300 better than a Chinese aluminum tube with potted electronics? Does anyone here have a PhD in flashlights?

nm, just gonna get two anyways.

What options are out there for red-dot magnifiers with extremely long eye relief? Like 10+ inches. Ideally useable with a flip mount.

I just don’t get wet over mag fed shotguns. I’d say a used 870 Police SBS, can be had on the cheap and easy to accessorize or tweak. My Benelli M1 was cheap too but parts pricier.

Regarding an M16A2-type rear sight: let's say the front sight is canted or whatever so the rifle is zeroed when the rear sight is two clicks to the right. Is it possible to then mechanically center the rear sight such that the point of impact remains the same but now the windage adjustment windlass is centered again? Or maybe they make offset apertures (or offset sight bases)?

I’m sure some anon can explain better but it’s in the circuitry of the LED and potting the wires to make it not susceptible to recoil. There are some decent Chinese lights like Weltool and Z-Bolt but they aren’t terribly cheaper. I’ve had Chicom shit break just larping around the house. I used a couple Protacs for years but did upgrade when I found deals.

Will the rail from a KS7 fit onto a KSG?

Doing a story/RP thing about a spy. Carries a Glock 21 (.45ACP) with a suppressor for silent ops. Has a Glock 40 (10mm) slide and mags in his kit for going loud.

Is it possible to switch slides and mags on the fly or does that require two separate guns? What would happen if he puts .45 mags with the 10mm slide? Or vice versa.

I've heard rumors that Me/k/a will soon be possible to attend again. When exactly and where?

how would you make it useful? the only thing i can think of is shortening the barrel, removing the pistol grip and using it as an under-barrel attachment, for breaching doors. the "advantage" being the barrel is extended before you fire, so you can rest it on what you intend to breach, then firing it, the barrel retracts, which is better for breaching. its a stretch, but its the only thing i can come up with.

Wouldn't work in your specific case. You CAN do what you're describing with .40S&W/357 Sig Glocks IIRC, but you start getting into things like the magazines and as a consequence the frames themselves having different geometry when you try to go between two notably different calibers like .45ACP and 10mm. My guess is that the mags just wouldn't seat or wouldn't fit all the way in.

I did this once and niggers at customs took my shit. I hate the government. Buying should be safe. Whether or not customs steals your shit is another thing
