hi hello uwu & good day. what's this? Joint northrop and raytheon test of a "new" long-range solid rocket motor. They report that the "extremely important" test demonstrated "wired end-burning technology for hypersonic applications." What program would this be for? All I've got right now is that the engine used for the static fire is in the same general ballpark by size as test devices for PrSM that northrop has shown in the same spot.

>wired end-burning technology for hypersonic applications
Very interesting, I have made several grain based solids and always wanted to make an endburner but the low burn rate was the main issue. Looks like wires do the trick so I might have to get back to the drawing board.

I got so distracted reading up about wire solids I missed your question.
End burners are great because you have a maximum possible propellant loading for the physical volume, this is good for anything with a sustainer motor be it SAMs, A2A missiles or rocket arty.

Was AGM-130 the first productionized example in US air-launched missile stocks? Trying to figure out what's what, here.

How does that work with a rocket engine?

How does it move the propellant to where it needs to be to burn? Is the candlestick slowly "pooped out" of the end of the rocket to match the burn rate?

there are a whole pile of youtube videos you can watch on this topic
