Any one got some cat sneeze loads. I am doing American Select 3.2 grains 223 with 55 grain Flacid Point. Don't give a shit about the primers because desu it doesn't matter. Going to be doing 8 grains tite group WW2-06 with 147 grain FMJ next.
>>
3.3 WAC with 147gr Norma .38 hollows is one of my plinking loads.

300gr XTP, 8.5gr Accurate no2. subsonic 44 mag that will cycle my Deagle.

>cat sneeze .223
why?

I'm going to be loading some B-32 with 54.1 grains 4085 IMR in my 30-06. These are API rounds. They are going to be zinging at ~3100 FPS.

My go to Sneeze load is 6 grains American Select 230 grain The Blue Bullets round nose 45 acp. Almost no sound from my can.

It give modularity to your gun. Especially when running a can and you need to drop something without a loud pop.

Got any recommendations for reduced recoil 44 mag without having to hunt out 44 special casings? I’ve got some test ones with 8.5,9,9.5,and 10 grains of unique on a 240 gn swc but I’m all ears for ideas… going in a red hawk so no action worries.. just looking to load some powderpuff loads for anyone who isn’t recoil ready or is a new shooter but still wants to try the big revolver.

You could always go to ammoseek . com/reloading/brass/44-magnum or a broom and dust pan to your local public range on Saturday and Sunday.

If you're shooting 223 why stick with 55-gr bullet? Usually when loading this type you got with a bigger bullet. Maybe a 75-ish grain bullet?
>>
>>62526462
Why not try and go with one of the heavier 80-90gr 223 projectiles? Personally I've tried the atomic 77gr 223 subs and found them to be genuinely dead silent through a can, as in cycling the gun between shots was louder than shooting

For my 32-20 it's 3.2gr Bullseye and 120gr soft lead.
>>
>>62528794
Because you want very low friction to minimize the risk of a stuck bullet. You can get low friction with a long lead bullet, it's much tougher to pull off with a jacketed one.
>>
I was into loading these in 30-30 for a while but I realized I would much rather just shoot a 357 or 45 colt rifle if I'm not shooting full power loads.

It’s more of an “I have a couple hundred extra 44 mag casings” than a “I don’t want to be bothered buying 44 special”
>>
>>62529269
To further clarify.. I bought 700 cleaned once fired 44 mag casings from a great local gun store for .12c per casing… loaded about 400 with a decent 4100 powder load under 240 gn hard cast. Want to load 100 to a light load, and the rest I’ve got some 240 grain jacketed hollow points, and 100 320 grain hardcasts with gas checks to mess with.. testing the jacketed on imr 4227 this weekend. Might load the 320 on top of either h110 or enforcer. Should be a fun time.

10gr of Unique is still magnum power, it's what I practice with. Should be pretty mild in a 4".
If you wanted lighter, then you need to look to Bullseye. Seems like 5gr of Bullseye is a very light plinker.
Titewad doesn't have published data, but that's another powder that's very fast and I bet 5gr would do well there too.

Load the 320gr long as you can. The 300gr Missouri Bullet Co "Hammer"(left) seats out to 1.730" when crimped. The bullet's OAL was .833", how long is that 320gr?
I ran it non-coated to 1470fps with good accuracy. At 1560fps the bullet was pushed to hard and accuracy was gone. Wonder if the coated one would do better.

.975 with some pretty convenient conalure choices. It’s going to be fun. Wish I had more than 100 of them but they were an odd box out of an estate sale.

Pretty sure they were originally for a 444 marlin. Looks like I have about 1.804 inches of length to play with in my Redhawk before it pokes out the end of the cylinder. Not related to this but in the same wheelhouse if you have one of the new anacondas apparently they will take a longe bullet and if you check out the TII YouTube page they messed around with some absurdly long 44 cast rounds in 44 Russian brass where the bullet is about as long as the case. Interesting stuff.
>>
>>62530020
The Redhawk will accomodate 1.8" for sure.
The new Anaconda's cylinder is like 1.909" long, so possible COAL is like 1.960".
Your 320gr boolit is longer than I expected: the 360gr in my poc above(right) is .977".

Not sure on the exact age, but the 20 cpr price dates them as pretty old I think. With Murphys law being what it is they’re likely going to be amazing and I’m never gonna find more lol.
