Fourth and last from my trip to Poland. This one appears to be part of the Army Museum in terms of organisational structure, but lies a two-hour-and-change walk away from it. Also while the Army Museum was in a somewhat fancy-looking building, this place clearly isn't afraid to play to "East European military museum" stereotypes, as this isn't some forgotten storage depot in the back but the main yard out front.
Bofors 37mm AT gunIn the indoors part we get a mix of ice-cold fluorescent lighting overall with very warm spotlights, because screw your white balance. Between this and the main branch (if anyone rememberers the light backgrounds in most photos from there, well, that was backlit, making it effectively one big light-source) I don't know which is preferable, but it does seem some bigwig here lost his girlfriend to a photographer...
Universal carrier Mk2
TK-S Reconnaisance tank(ette)
Renault TSF, a signal variant of the FT.
Horse, and the ever-present Hotchkiss.
The good old Bofors 40mm
Bofors 105mm L/40, a submarine deck gun I think.
Smaller AA guns.
Left to right carbine Wz.98, Wz.29, Wz. 98 (again) and Wz. 28. Below them anti-tank rifle Wz. 35. All in 7.92mm, but the last one with a touch more powder behind it.
Ford... well, the sign says both "FT - C" and "Tf - c", model 1920 in either case, modern reconstruction.
Buick officer hauler.

>>62532384I'm pretty sure my dad went there just recently and it seemed like it was a great visit. If you run out of pics I might see if I can find the ones he sent and chuck a few in later. On the other hand though if it was the place he visited I won't be surprised if you hit the image limit on your own. Happy (and just slightly envious) to see you are getting out there to look at it for yourself Anon, and I hope the rest of your trip has been nice.
Wz.30>>62532773>On the other hand though if it was the place he visited I won't be surprised if you hit the image limit on your ownYeah, this thread won't fit half of them.

7TP light tank
105mm Wz.29
Artilleryman's uniform, I think.
Soyuz 30
PZL Mi-2T
Luckily I had brought an umbrella.
Super-secret no-photography blacks ops site. Or some such.
SUM Kalina, a mine layer based on the SPG-1M Kalina APC
Su-22UMK3
Also note the black rubber mats laid out as paths here. They were decidedly bumpy and uneven, meaning plenty of ankle-deep puddles formed. Good practice for situational awareness while you're photographing...

Circling around back to the Il-28
Gunner's office.
BRDM-1 (which, surely, must have been nicknamed Gena at some point) with a type ZP 27... well, the missiles I assume.
BM-21 on an Ural 375D
BM-14 on a Zis-151
An-2
3R9 missile on a 9K6... well it doesn't look like you'd launch it form there so I'll say missile transport.
The sign here talks about 9K51 (which as far as I can tell is a Grad variant) and ISU-152K... As far as I can tell what we do have here is a warhead-deprived R-11 (Scud-A) on a 9U218 launch vehicle. Damn cool looking at least, whatever it is.
Thank you for sharing all of this, OP.
175mm SPG M107. The only one in Poland, as a sign very clearly (after google translate had done its thing) pointed out.
The classic BMP-1
SKOT-R3
Topas-2AP ARV
BRDM-2
An old Katyusha.
Restoration in progress it would seem.

Thanks again, love these threads. Its a shame tho, half this stuff seems like its just rotting away.
Su-85
ISU-152>>62534109Sadly not an uncommon state of affairs. At least here there were signs of ongoing restorations and maintenance.
Stalinistic tendencies.
57mm L/24 gun emplacement, for a fortress perhaps?
450mm torpedo type F5b, in front of a PZL-TS-8
280mm wz.1914
WP-8
120mm mortar wz.1938
122mm howitzer wz.1939
122mm gun wz.1931/37
Stuff found littering up the place in 1945. 21cm Morser 18 and a Sd.Kfz. 9
A "pre-loved" panther.
Panzer IV perhaps? No holes for torsion bars...
Panzer III
Stug 40 Aufs. G
T-18, a USSR Renault FT knockoff and apparently the first tank built over there.
T-70M turret.
Gun emplacement from Wroclaw fortress.
Sentinel's hut, in case things get shrapnel-y.
Fortress gun mount
I have a vague noise in the back of my head that this might be a flamethrower for fortress use.
T-34 in surgery.
Some details might not be factory standard equipment.
Chunk of frontal armour from a T-55
T-34
Some of the artefacts appear to have been a bit on the shy side.
Thanks for the virtual museum tour anon!
And that should be the image limit. Overall a museum a bit short on shine, but with plenty of charm. And I don't think I've seen these fortress gun mounts laid free like this anywhere else, ever.Zip archive of it all: https://www.mediafire.com/file/3izezcy1w1mk16m/Poland_-_Museum_of_Military_Technology.zip
>>62532803Delighted to see you took the time to snap the radar vehicles too, I find those fascinating but Dad apparently wasn't interested. Great thread.
>>62534714Thanks for sharing! Anytime I get on /k/ and there's a KM thread, I know it's going to be a good day.
>>62532638Still more capable vehicle than those fucking barn abominations in ukraine.
>>62532384>Museum of Polish Military Technology>Warsaw, PolandI was there last year. I spent about two hours just walking around and taking crazy amounts of photos.Warsaw is a great city, with great people. I enjoyed it as much as I did visiting Germany.
>>62534732I do tend to have some completionist tendencies about these things. Finding out the next year that some museum I've visited on the other side of the continent has that thing I'm now hunting for reference pictures of but I never bothered to photograph it when I was there is something I'd rather not suffer. Also I find these radar systems rather cool looking, somewhat menacing. Dunno if that's some general cold war "here comes the nukes" vibes or if "Biggles in Time" happened to hit me at a very mouldable age.>>62535548I also found Warsaw a really nice city to visit.
>>62535614I love me some pierogies. Once I discovered zapiekanka, it was over. I smashed the hell out of those things!

>>62534109>Its a shame tho, half this stuff seems like its just rotting away.>>62534145>Sadly not an uncommon state of affairs. All this stuff out there in the open to rot away, absolutely criminal...
Fantastic thread, i love historical image dumps like these. Have a nice and pleasant day!
>>62535887Sadly I usually don't get around to much in the way of culinary adventures, as on these trips food tends to be forgotten about until it becomes something that has to be sorted out in a bloody hurry and I get whatever is readily available and seems a safe-ish bet. Though I did end up getting some kind of hot dog with piles of stuff on after asking for what I thought was a ham and cheese sandwich at a train station during this trip. It worked out nicely.>>62539826Nice.>>62539858>All this stuff out there in the open to rot away, absolutely criminal...As always it's about money. The museums don't have much, and buildings large enough for these collections require quite a bit. If you can pick up the tab then the museums would liekly love to hear form you, but if not then simply visiting should help a bit. Both by the entrance fee, and by the visitor number going up and showing politicians that this is something people care about.
>>62539924>NiceHave some more footage of itt used in action.https://youtu.be/iUhAnHNc3kU

>>62540263Well, since it appears that there is some money for construction there, let's hope they put a reasonably heavy emphasis on getting stuff indoors and don't blow it all on "interactive" theme park attractions.
