I want to buy a 10mm but I also don’t see the appeal

I already have a .40cal SIG, is there any benefit from 10mm that doesn’t come with most calibers?

Brag on haters.

You can get a 9x25 dillon conversion barrel, thats pretty cool

I mean, if you reload you at least have projectile compatibility. that's why I got a .458 Socom.

.223 tier power out of a long barrel.10mm really shines out of a carbine

>.223 tier power out of a long barrel
What's the point when .223 is better in terms of power, effective range, ammo weight, and cost?

It's okay to say you think it's cool anon, you don't need to deflect your insecurity with image macros.

>223 is better in terms of power
I just said that 10mm and .223 are equivalent in power from a long berrel
>effective range
why are you fucking with a PCC if you're concerned with range? if you need more than 100 yards to shoot someone you dhould have planned better anyway
>ammo weight
are you hauling freight or carrying a couple of mags around? and it's half the size anyway
>and cost?
poors get out
anyway plenty of 10mm is cheaper than .223 i saw that czech shit for $0.40 cpr the other day

Because I'm curious what anon's purpose might be and I didn't want to assume he was just an idiot. Perhaps he wants to pair ammo with another gun. Perhaps he has some special handload he wants to try out. Perhaps there's some legal reason why he can't use a different caliber.

And you were mistaken, .223 is significantly more powerful.

>why are you fucking with a PCC if you're concerned with range?
That's my question exactly. It's just worse all around.

The top end of 10mm power overlaps the bottom end of .223, Chuckles. That is what "equivalent" means and the reason I didn't use the word "equals"

Good morning sirs, here is your complimentary reminder that the HK USP in .45 ACP is also compatible with .45 Super, completely unmodified. Nothing wrong with 10mm at all, but if the available models don’t quite do it for you, I recommend researching this as an alternative semiauto hand cannon option. .45 Super performs much like 10mm, but generally giving up a little velocity/energy for a little more penetration.

Imagine .460 rowland in a 16 inch barrel, or 9x25 dillon.

are those made for things that aren't ye Glock
>>
>>62542535
I dont think anything other than glock has a conversion barrel, was used for competition shooters in a very small niche thats no longer relevent, but the round is also fairly roided and would probably be incredibly effective for self defense even if expensive and cumbersome

>>62540818
>I want to buy a 10mm
>but I also don’t see the appeal
It sounds like you don't want a 10mm
>>
>>62540818
The appeal is you get something that can punch through a bear's skull in a semi-auto (if you use the right ammo)
>>
>>62541460

If only ruger engineers weren’t retarded, they could’ve truncated the barrel by like 7 inches and used a really short telescoping stock, and they would’ve had themselves a winner. they could’ve mogged the mp7.
>>
Just go .45 or keep the 40 if you want the big boolet meme for self defense. 10mm is the millilmeter chasers caliber and you pay dearly in ammo costs for it.
