I saw hop mention using a magpul MOE bipod in one of his videos. I have an opportunity to grab one for about 55$, but it looks like it needs a swing swivel adapter for mlok which will make it weigh as much as a regular magpul bipod.
Worth? Or are there better lightweight options
>>
>>62733572
You'd be better off getting a MLOK bipod instead of an adapter.

Well they're completely different products... FRT is a drop in forced reset trigger. Super safety adds a forced reset feature and is push button. M16 parts kit uses an autosear and requires an m16 pocket plus a third hole. Yankee boogle is a piece of plastic like a lightning link. Forced reset is legally semi auto while full auto is regulated and both will get your dog killed by ATF murderers.

WHO WILL WIN !?!?! CLICK LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE MY /ARG/ SIRS. VOTE IN THE COMMENTS! China has many jets but India has a strong history of victory and is very industrious and resourceful. The Indian Rifles, from INSAS to their new AK's is known for it's reliability and firepower while the Chinese assault rifles are made of Plastics! India also is becoming a world superpower very fastly. India will give the Chinese a run for their money. I am thinking India will come out on top

Just get a UTG riser for $12. You can even replace the M10 torx screws with titanium ones or whatever for another $10. There is never a need to buy a $150+ hunk of milled aluminum when a $10 one exists. There are .75", .83", 1", and 1.3" versions.

You wont get cool guy points, but it's a retarded waste of money. I agree that you get what you pay for when it comes to critical components, but when it cost's $3 to manufacture, then you are just getting jewed out of your money for zero gain.

Those thumper rounds excel in short barrels like that. But that isn't one of them the mag is way too big.
>>
>>62734397
300 winmag?
So you wouldnt even buy the 458 Winmag version?
Just get a VR80 and have fun with it.
>>
>>62734410
tbf I wasn't aware Nemo made one in that cartridge, I didn't know that cartridge existed.
They don't offer it in a factory SBR configuration which is what I am more interested in. But if they offered the 458 Win Mag in one then maybe.
VR80 is a shotgun so no
>>
>>62734080
What's your setup? Maybe you can mitigate it.

Carry handle mounts suck shit. The only reason anyone would mount optic that high is to facilitate passive aiming under NODs, but the carry handle mounting point is too far back and interferes with your tube when you shoulder the gun. The shine really wears off retro guns once you actually have them in your hands.

It's possible the upper is overgassed and the in spec bcg is causing malfs. Let me guess, it's a PSA rifle?
Take them both and extend the bolt, then stand them on the bolt face. They should both stand without the carrier sliding down.
If they both pass you might try running a feeler down the gas keys. One could be obstructed or burred.

I think I am going to give my guns to a friend for a short period, I am having suicidal thoughts and don’t want to be emotionally persuaded to pull the trigger. You see, the anniversary of Karen Carpenter’s death really got to me recently and it’s all I could think about at work. My boss mentioned to me he thought I was oddly spaced out and not focused on my job, so he decided to let me go. Normally I wouldn’t mind because my mom lets me live here rent free, but in combination with the Carpenter’s tour videos being scrubbed off YouTube I just can’t even bother walking in my front door. I got a bunch of issued metal Okay Ind. mags at a local milsurp store. They were on sale for $4 a piece since the Army base nearby was getting rid of them (It was Ft. Campbell).

I ended up buying 20 of them in an ammo can and the dude gave me a discount for buying so many. Most are black, but I got some FDE as well. Probably gonna paint them all OD and Coyote. It was $65 in the end. ($60 for the mags, and $5 for the ammo can. Also picked up a box of 2021 packaged MRE's for $50)

>>
>>62733720
FRR triggers arnt legal. There was an injunction. Some judge just threw the case out and sais give them back. Its a legal grey area where the government knows its loosing but doesnt want to admit to a lose. Hence the 99% conviction rate.
You can possess a FRT. But getting caught using one in a crime and they will charge it as a machine gun.
Best to not let anyone know you own it. And be friends with the local Sheriff. Always be on the side of local LEO. They have the ability to tell the ATF to pound sand. And they have done it before.
>>
>>62737698
im a yuro alright but i went to a shooting range in prague and they do have suppressed guns you can rent

https://praguearmory.com/guns/

i shot the ar15 listed on that page, no idea which brand it was, it had LVPO instead of the red dot.
>>
>>62737640
The down sides to suppressors is that they will kick back gas into your face. That's why there are so many things designed to try to mitigate that. From an external piston system (LMT etc) to gas mitigating BCG to flow through suppressor, to charging handles that have grooves cut out in them with the idea that those grooves will slow/stop gasses or expel them out to the side away from your face.
>>
>>62737721
It was most likely just a gassy AR with a carbine gas system. Shorter gas systems get gassy with a suppressor.
>>
>>62737720
Let em refraise this word salad. When and if RB wins their case in NY. Then you can buy FRTs legally again. Until then its a legal grey area. Where you can buy and possess it. But you wouldnt want to get caught using it by LEO. Unless youre good with local PD and they know you just dump brass on your own property.
Live in a anti2a State? And you get caught with one and expect bad outcomes.
>but muh injunction
You will become a case study. Literally.
Most cases on average last 4-6 years. And cost over a million dollars.

it's a feature, it's supposed to not move until you slam it with your fist. it's so you can move it out of the way to access other stuff in an emergency, for example my peq15 focuser. or gas controls. or suppressor mount.

if you really dont like it moving at all (autism?) you can put loctite blue/red here and here, on the flat part, then crank it down hard. let it cure for 24 hours. it will bed it in there.
>>
>>62737849
You didn't tighten it enough. The factory hardware is fine man, it won't go anywhere if if you crank it down
>>
>>62737849
Tighten it harder. If yours didn’t have any thread locker use some vibratite. You can still pivot it with a lot of force so you can move it to remove your can easier.

It comes with an SF muzzle device compatible mount. It is a Hub rear thread can, 1.375x24, so you can swap mounts to other hub compatible mounts if you want. On my 14.5" it sounds and performs solidly for the price. It is a very small and light can, so don't expect too much suppression.

I'm running a YHM Kurz Ti mount setup with muzzle brakes and I think that setup is reducing the flash hiding performance as compared to a non K mount type. I think with an SF flash hider using the included SF mount setup, you would be satisfied with the flash reduction on a 14.5" for most ammo.

>PA 1-6x "testing"
I really am just testing out the 1-6. I usually use a 3X prism optic, but I had a PA SLX 5x36 on it and it was great. I have never touched an LPVO before this and wanted to try it out without buying into a $2k optic right away. I have only used irons, high power hunting scopes, and fixed mag optics. Im planning on getting a Razor HD Gen II if I really like using an LPVO. Only time will tell.

>no light or secondary sighting system
I use a 88850 PolyTac with a picatinny adapter. It's a nice bright light and works well on a rifle. I just took it off because this rifle was in a case and it didn't fit well. The light is sitting on my desk if I need to mount it for anything.

You're right though. I need to get some good quality iron sights. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. I am thinking about going with a KAC set for about $400.

>no ambi selector
Im a righty. No one else shoots my rifles. I don't need it haha. I learned the platform from my issued M16A4, and later an M4. I have never used an ambi selector, so I don't really want one.
