Just picked up pic related today, it shoots so well and the heavy fixed barrel makes me want to throw a can on it what ammo will go subsonic out of it's 5.5 inch barrel?
any subsonic .22 ammo
>just picked up pic related>google stock image
>>62777683Standard velocity is subsonic in most conditions and even most high velocity .22lr will not go supersonic out of a pistol.
>>62777893Even out of a 5.5?

>>62777683I'm glad you like it anon, my Mark IV hunter is an awesome gun, even with the damn front sights that get loose every 30-40 rounds.>>62777779He probably doesn't have photos of the gun yet
>>62778705Here's a pic, this thing is everything ypu want in a fun target pistol, i wanted the tactical but this was at my local gun store. The quality it so nice and the grip and sights work so well together, I alreay shot better groups with this thing then with other .22 pistols I've shot for years. This is the first time I've ever got thw fancy version of any gun and it's worth every penny.
>>62778783And I forgot the pic..
>>62778783>Here's a pic>>62778791I was about to say
>>62778791I've I had a normal-gripped MKIV and not a 22/45, I would get pic related on them asap, or for a bit more one of the nice wood sets. I held a MKIV with the thumb rest grips at a gun show and really liked them.
>>62777683Congrats, Anon. I have the exact same model and love it.Anybody have a recommendation for a suppressor that matches the aesthetic of the MKIV and pic related? I have both and really want a can with a stainless finish that I can use between the two of them. Everything I see online is black.
>>62778818>or for a bit more one of the nice wood sets.I'd definitely recommend Altamont's wooden panels. I was very happy with mine on the Victory.
What should I add next to the collection? And before you judge what i already have, I didn't pay for a single one of these
>>62777683Hey I'll ask in here too. What's bare minimum reliable light+dot combo for a .22 ruger range toy pistol ? I'm on a budget and feel spending 600-700 bucks on Holosun and Olight (im euro btw) would be rather moronic, considering every other more serious weapon I need to setup. Also thanks Burt.
I want one of these motherfuckers like you wouldn't believe.Anyone got experience with them?Holy FUCK this new captcha sucks ass.
>>62778791thats a nice gun op.Some recommendations:buy a nice set of SAE hex wrenches.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09F3V3HJP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1lots of the little bolts like to loosen up during shooting, specifically the front one the barrel pivots over.the little rubber bushing in there is trash, replace it with an ear plug cut in half. does a much better job.you'll want to apply medium strength loctite on some bolts so they dont loosen up.if you get any large optic for it, I recommend this charge handlehttps://www.ebay.com/itm/164822094817make sure its aluminum, the SS ones are too heavy and it wont cyclecheck out this guy as wellhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/163063663099he sells hand made compensators that are flush with the barrel with excellent thread engagementpic is mine, I bought the "wrong" compensator that isnt flush, but I do like that look.the optic is some $90 amazon slop. its okay.get nice grips as well.there is also nothing wrong with leaving that pistol as is. i shot about 1000 rounds through mine before i bought any accessories. good stuff herehttps://volquartsen.com/https://tandemkross.com/im gonna do my trigger next.
>>62780835Full takedown and cleaning is a spring loaded bitch that sends the recoil buffer flying if you aren't careful but the trigger is nicer than most rugers.
>>62780835I have a Buck Mark and it's a goddamn Cadillac. Shoots like a dream.
Anyone have experience with SWS firearms? Looking at buying an integrally suppressed CZ 457 from them (pic related)
>>62777683That's my favorite gun of all timeI love mine so much >>62777893the barrel on that gun makes the ammo about a 50/50 chance of being super or sub with standard ass 500 rd box ammo
>>62780835I don't like these, they feel cheaper than the rugerAnother thing I don't like is how hard it is to cock it with a fallen hammer, takes a lot of force to overcome the hammer spring and there isn't much purchase on that bolt also the mk4 comes apart in literally seconds with no tools
>>62777893>>62777905>>62777928Anything over CCI SV is supersonic in my TX22 Competition (5.25") which means pretty much all bulk or anything under 40gr is. But only some random shots of HV bulk are supersonic out of my 4" TX22. BBTI isn't 100% accurate for me, ~4.5" seems to be the cutoff for most "1,250 fps" bulk being subsonic. Dunny why>>62777683CCI Standard Velocity should be, but I don't know another "low" velocity ammo as cheap. There are lots of subsonic loads but typically they are 5 cents more per round at least, some double. 5.5" is right on the cusp at near sea level, if you aren't at low elevation even CCI SV might not be subsonicVery pretty gun btw
just finished to reverse engineer a .22LR magazine for a pistol without one i picked upmore than 100h of work, about the same in machine time to print the prototypeshomemade spring from piano wirescost 0.80€ to make instead of 85€ to buy one from the (now closed) factoryi may share sources for the 500L of openscad kludge i have for this
What are some of the best looking .22 handguns? My new range has a nifty looking rimfire steel setup and I want to get something to plink with, but since .22's all run like ass regardless, I want something that I can look at and feel cool.
