Space Delta 3, USSF's space electronic warfare unit, is getting a space EW weapon. The ground-based Meadowlands system from L3Harris is intended to jam chinese and russian satellites in the opening stages of a conflict.

>As of last month it has "completed all system-level verification testing" and is "on track for delivery next year," Space Systems Command said in a statement to Bloomberg News. Between January and March, the Space Force will assess when the first five of a planned 32 weapons can be declared operational. https://archive.is/braig

Is this purely for defensive jamming or does it have a way of jamming sats that it isn't parked under as well?

the blue coax tells me everything i need to know about this project
>>
>>62779130
Which is?
>>
>>62779138
its an expensive piece of shit. I see the ka-band waveguide which is clearly the main feedline but the 30 foot lengths of lab grade ultra flex coax doesnt inspire confidence

Until they have a capital ship in orbit, the Space Force is a joke.
>>
>>62779101
It is a mobile extension of the Counter Communications System, which is considered USSF's first offensive system.

>>62779179
Orbital Warfare is Delta 9. Aggressors are Delta 11.
>>
>>62779130
This is not the same project.
>>
>>62779205
I'm sure they're not both products of the the same company
>>
>>62779353
Huh? No they're unrelated. The RMT thing is a proof of concept for doing a certain kind of buildout with commercial off the shelf. You can even see the big AvL Technologies logo on the side of the terminal.

oh you're totally right I like your shitty advert now

The fuck's wrong with you? You tried to say something insulting but it was irrelevant so now you're embarrassed? Idk just kill yourself then, or leave the thread. Since humility isn't in the cards

fucking queer get out of my goddamn thread

i should break your fucking dick off

>offensive system.
Interesting, I wonder how it targets satellites over enemy territory given the obvious risks and limitations involved
>>
>>62779405
are you seriously simping for L3?
>>
>>62779423
No, the only firm ever worth investing a piece of yourself in is one started by you and your m8s. I don't think like a teenage fangirl about industrial conglomerates.

What I wonder more about lately is the division of labor between jamming and counter-jamming, and where space/counterspace systems are deployed. The US believes china will lean into SAR jamming during a taiwan invasion. And they grow their ASAT inventory every day. Otoh, russia's space assets are few and far between and their ASATs like peresvet are proving to be nothingburgers.

The US is still in a position to put vastly more material into orbit than everyone else, so you might argue that space-based assets simply have to be the focus while that advantage remains, regardless of whether that leaves an imbalance in capabilities better provided by ground-based systems (or creates lots of attack surface for others' ground systems).

His job is to make you want to die for Israel by shilling "cool" military tech here.
>>
Very cool op
Good to see the US start taking space weapons seriously.

Which SF Delta is the tip of the spear? I mean the ultra-spooky Delta that is on the cutting edge?
>>
I’d be surprised if this student-engineered special actually works in the real world.
>>
>>62779823
so far we know nothing the chinks or russianiggers make works in reality too so I'd take the mostly white nations word that it works well

>>62779793
There's only like 20 of them. So far, you can still just look up the descriptions and get roughly correct info about what they do.

Delta 6, and I say that purely because its subordinate units have the coolest insignias.

Remember if your pics violate opsec just credit them to some known military photographer.

I’m surprised they’re just posting this, I thought everything space related was locked in the deepest of black project dungeons
