we could just tied them down but leadership likes to play music parking spots. Also pilots can't be fucked to back them in to we waste thousands of man hours every year towing them into positions the pilot should've just parked them into in the first place.

"its too hard for me to back in so the entire maintenance team can stay 2 hours late fixing my laziness"

deserved

Does the army not do tiedowns?
>>
>>62782675
I saw the same thing happen to an Apache on Fort Irwin, though less catastrophically

I'd adopt a heli.

We tied everything down in the Navy if there was even a hint of bad weather.
>>
>>62782931
There are not 1 gorrilion cat-eyes on Army Airfields to tie shit down to like there is on a LHD or CVN. Airfields also do not rock or tip like a ship does.
>>
>>62782452

Why can't the build multi-story hangars like a parking garage?

Obviously the heavier planes would be on the bottom floor.
>>
>>62782944
well maybe they should change that in light of current events, what with the airfield rocking and tipping in the hurricane and all, y'all.
>>
>>62782944
We're talking in port. Even SE is tied down.
>>
>>62782953
You could but I'm not sure how stable it'll be. Need a lot of space for helis and aircraft which means limited locations for support columns. I'm no expert on structural engineering so take what I say with a grain of salt.

>>
>>62782944
Literally every civilian airport has tie down points at every parking spot the dirt strips ive worked at the didn't had slabs of concrete you could wheel out if needed. If the army is to cheap/lazy to bolt a hook to a block of concrete they deserve it.
>>
>>62782953
Isn't that what an aircraft carrier is?
>>
Shillcon hasn't been this high in a while.
>>
>>62783103
There is normally one, sometimes two hangar decks in a 'carrier.
They are not a multi story affair.

Who's shills thoughts? Ukraine just lost another city and they didn't even do a terrorism or sink a naval ship this time.

No seriously
I've seen that same ID before. Guys resorting to Russoid posting about zoggies for bait because noone is giving him enough attention for his bong shilling.
>>
>>62783353
What are you talking about?
>>
>>62783224
What is a catastrophic loss of mission critical equipment to the lesser nations is a rounding error in the maintenance sheets for the US.
>>
>>62783365
There is a poster who s hitposts about British military equipment, he is called Warriortard. After being called out over this he proceded the best way to avoid being called out was to randomly call people in random threads Warriortard in the hopes that people would assume it was just some schizo doing it and disregard it when it was rightly done to call out the actual poster. Furthermore it got the mods involved to a degree where they punish people for calling him out. So that's basically it. It's a shitposter falseflagging in order to make people think when he is called out by other posters that they're just weirdo schizos. As you can see, it works because you just get confused.
>>
>>62783437
You sound like a schizo with a persecution complex.

What are titles?
>>
>>62783725
"Aircraft shelter" is not a proper noun.
It is not the title of a movie, of a book, of a piece of art.
It is not the title of a document, a school of thought or a technique used in industry.
It's an adverb and a verb in the definitive present participle used as a noun; it does not warrant punctuation no matter how you slice this fucking cake.
>>
>>62782452
>What are Aircraft Shelters?
i'm not surprised the vatnik doesn't know and has to ask
>>
>>62783215

A collection of 5 abandoned shacks that took 10,000 dead Russians to capture 100 metres square. If this is winning, maybe you should consider losing.

You Americans really should be trying to save costs what with your $900 billion defence budget and your $1.1 trillion debt interest servicing.
>>
>>62785159
I'll be sure to bring it up with the CEO of weather next time I see him.
>>
>>62785168
No, you should bring it up to the CEO of hangars and ropes and weather forecasting.
>>
>>62782931
I was in the AF and I never tied anything down outside of training. If bad weather was suspected then you'd evac the aircraft or put them in a hangar. Doesn't work for shit like tornados though because unlike hurricanes you don't have 24 hours to prepare
>>
>>62783459
thats exactly who he is and nobody should bother responding to him

This has happened every couple of years. You think they'd finally commit to using tie downs
>>

>>
>>62786237
>>62786237
If the US defaults on its debt inflation will skyrocket as demand for the dollar would plummet, and it would result in a global economic recession, you can't fight your way out of that.
>>
>>62786383
>defaults
oh, you're one of those. I'm so sorry.
>>
>>62786218
That's wild. Sometimes it felt like half the job was doing chains. And red gear.
